You will get 12 months warranty on it, so if there are further problems you'll at least be well covered. 

Yes it's a shame you don't know what was said but I would imagine the techie gave them the distinct impression the previous job was to blame to manage an 80% discount. I doubt they will ever admit full liability though

Everyone else barring the chap from fensport that commented on Facebook seems Confident of the same. 
As long as I can get something in writing about a Warrenty I am happy.  But they swerved that in their last email reply so have sent another. Plus asking for an all in total for everything so I know 100% where I stand. 
Will ask if I can get the info from toyota direct if I call them personally though. If it is purely a gesture of good will then fine I am happy that have done so. But if they have admitted fault why not just cover the lot....
Either way I am in a better place then I was on Tuesday
 

Dealership were happy to approach toyota on my behalf. So a waiting game now I guess.
Only issue with me not contacting them direct I suppose is I don't know what is been said 😒
Although they have been helpful so far so will leave them to it for now...

I approached directly as I never got a letter. Said to bring it in. 
Although mine isn't extensively modded  just manifold, map and chassis mods.

Mine has gone into Lancaster rayleigh today.  
All seems good so far. Have a friendly lady as a point of contact that seems very knowledgeable. Also went on the road test with the tech doing the work and he seems to know his stuff. 
Only bits I am not sure on is the quote I have been given to get the spark plugs done whilst the engine is out.  What have others paid? 
Seems they are working fast. Already have pics of the clutch out so i am doing to take the up on the £260 for a new one to future proof her.  
Quite like my lexus barge I have been given too. Did try my luck for the supra 😂 (looks good in grey)

Interesting your thoughts on the DC2, always heard of them been totally dependable. but agree sublime when on it but frustrating to daily.

Fitted Flex A’s a year or so ago and just out of interest I had them dyno’d. See curve below. From memory compression is below the horizontal axis. Referring to those three curves;
Bottom : full Hard
Middle : hard minus 10 clicks
Top :Full soft
So you have a non linear progression as per Deacons post above. This also bears out other posters ( and my own) experience that hard minus 10 is very bouncy because the damping at that setting is well on the way to full soft.

Wouldn't say mine was a grinding noise but like air been released.

Mine has always done this. I've noticed that the noise ties in with the air-con pulley in the engine bay starting to spin. I've just therefore assumed that I'm hearing the pulley spin.

My car is 5 1/2 years old and I only noticed it about a year ago......we're on the same schedule, it seems.

Mine does it too.
It almost sounds like the car is breathing.

Thanks for all the welcomes everybody. Will no doubt end up at fuel for the next few weekends, seems to be a running trend at the moment for me. It couldnt be much closer to me unless it was in my back garden.
Silver was never my first choice of colour, however I saw a silver brz at a mazda dealership and liked the colour. Kept holding out for a white car but was going on a road trip with a friend and wanted a car for it. With a week before we set off, I found the silver car down in devon, was a super deal and couldn’t resist.

Love the colour now, although I think it might prove hard to colour match with if I ever tweak the car.

The whole thing is just a field where people hang out and talk cars. Might be a Ferrari parked next to  a Focus that hasn't been washed in years. No one will bat an eyelid
So don't worry about where to park just park with the rest of us.

Just bring some loose change as they ask for a donation on the gate.
