Manifold to Engine - Just gasket:

    No, you don't need to.
You should only think about it if you track the car alot, but then I'd look at getting the manifold ceramic coated or have thermomet applied.

Hello, as far as I am aware the fuji UEL is just a rebranded tomei. I bought it as it looked like a pretty decent option and I was pretty impressed by the quality of it when it arrived. It has never been on the car so I can't speak from experience of actually using it. I decided to go a different route after I bought it.

not too badly, boxer engines are really wide and the LS itself is rather small compared to most engines thanks to the fact it doesn't have over head cams.
    Here's a similar small block chevy v8 next to a Ford 5.0 Coyote V8:

I got it from Mike at TD. Not fitted it yet so would be interested to hear your feedback if you get round to fitting it before me.

Probably not. Drone tends to be caused at the backbox. So probably only slightly louder than usual with just an UEL manifold.

Jay Bamrah reacted to nerdstrike in BRZ stock clutch 30k miles on it
I reckon that would depend on condition. A total doofus (or poorly adjusted item) can ruin a clutch in 30k miles, so it's not a normal item to buy used when the cost of fitting (or several hours plus tools) gets quite close to the price of the item. I wouldn't expect a great deal.
One last hurrah at Santa Pod?

No worries bud. Take your time, no need to rush you just got it.

I would suggest you do a bit of research into the second hand market before putting stuff up for sale. But put it this way you will struggle to pick up a single headlight for less than 170 quid from a GT86, which is much more common than a BRZ. OEM items are generally going to be much better quality and a different market segment than aftermarket.

The quality is really good. No problems with painting as no preparation needed.
Its been on for a couple of years I think now and no issues whatsoever.
It doesnt quite cover all the area of the old spoiler at the very ends so if you look closely you can see marks in the paint on the bootlid. Not a problem though and if I had known before ordering mine, it would not have put me off. If you really want a show car finish, you could mount it and have the whole bootlid sprayed with the spoiler on.
Not that I am trying to put you off, just give you a heads up! The car looks so much better with it on and I would definitely recommend them.

I'm in Swindon.  I'll be heading past London just before Christmas so could make a detour then, if the timing works for you.  I don't know the exact date yet but I can drop you a DM once I've worked out details.
Mark gave me a discount on some parts but not the SC.  I spent a fair amount when mine was in having the SC fitted; they fitted my brakes & suspension (Black Friday purchases!), and sourced me a new manifold, catback, and some other suspension parts (LCA, ARB, and bushes) and fitted those.

Mine has a Harrop fitted by Abbey and I'll gladly recommend them and the Harrop kit.  Most of the turbo/SC kits are around 280-290 at the flywheel, which is ~250whp.  Mine is dead on 250whp with the Harrop.  The stock clutch and injectors work fine for that.  I'm running KW V3 coilovers and Reyland's brake upgrade with AP Racing callipers too, the brakes mostly because I get the stock ones too hot on track (even with uprated pads & fluid).  Happy to take you for a spin in it if you want to see how it feels, it's definitely got punch 😁

@Mark@Abbey M/S for a Harrop, at least that's what I have done! Mark will look after you well.

There are different types of superchargers. There are 2 very popular and successful Positive Displacement ones here : Cosworth or Harrop. Cosworth have stopped making their kit , so you will have to look for a used kit. The other choice is Harrop which does come from OZ and gets rave reviews too.

The other type is Centrifugal, which then brings you to a HKS kit.

If you go with Harrop , Abbey Motorsport in Surrey is your closest and they can supply , fit and tune the car for your needs.

If you go with HKS, Fensport in Cambridge can do a drive in drive out deal for you.

Just make sure you know your goals and are very clear from the start as mods are a slippery slope and there is no end to it. If you add too much power, then you need all supporting mods like better fuel pump, bigger injectors, brakes, wheels and tyres.

Also do you want to make it a road or a track car , in which case coilovers etc also come into play.

Good luck and don't rush for the SC, get the car, learn to play with it, test its limits and then go from there.

That's not entirely true.... I shall explain.
Had a little convo with Matt@Cosworth recently and he told me they do have supercharger kits, but they are missing the Eaton blowers themselves. Now if there was a group buy he said that it might enough to convince his boss to buy some superchargers to make up and sell some kits...
Food for thought for those on the fence.

There is a chap on Facebook Marketplace selling a brand new Cosworth Stage1 & Stage2 Supercharger kit with the Ecutek programming kit for £5200.

Not exactly, but close I guess - grey GT86 with gunmetal alloys (18") and a TRD-style lip.  Also slightly lowered.

And one in motion before it was lowered:

Just my opinion, the paint has a hint of blue in it and I don't think it works quite as well with black wheels - they would work better on a black car - but I appreciate that we all have different tastes.  Looks like you're not a million  miles from me, if you're near Swindon whilst you're still deciding then drop me a DM and I'll be happy to show you mine.
