Crisis over! I’ve manage to figure this out myself.
FYI for anyone else doing a reversing cam install:
    1. The Reverse trigger is not required to be tapped on UK cars. All the US FRS guides tend to tell you to run a cable down to tap into the pink reverse trigger cable in the footwell, but on the UK cars its already connected via an existing pin on the 28pin harness.
    2. Some online guides tell you to go into the ‘hidden menu’ on the TAS300 to enable the ‘camera’ option. But this hidden menu doesnt appear to be available on the models without nav. So i didnt do this,
    3. If you buy the Genuine Toyota ‘Fit’ kit off ebay, try and confirm beforehand that the version they are going to send you has the 16 pin connector and not the 24-pin connector like I was sent. The 24-pin connector only fits to the SatNav port and looking at the wiring diagram there doesn’t appear to be any pins on this connector that support video input. I can only assume this version of the cable they sent me is for the facelift 2017+ cars with the TAS400. So i had to dismantle the 24-pin harness they sent me and transfer across the two pins into the existing 16-pin connector I had in the back of the headunit already.
Now its all up and running beautifully.

As said get tyres after the event. When I did it I bolted on my original wheels with some old Michelin Primacy on. Less grip = more learning at the end of the day

You will learn a lot. I insure my car for trackdays but don't when I go there. Only one car on the move at a time and you would be hard pushed to find something to hit

Had an awesome day at Bedford yesterday with @willclarke and @will300. Car was absolutely faultless even in the near 30° heat and it was me giving out way before the car!
Oil temps never got over 116° even after an 8 lap stint. Running with the bonnet vents open seems to be good for around a 10° reduction in oil temperature as @will300 was running around 10° higher than me and we have the same oil cooler.
The pfc.08 pads were absolutely faultless - stopping power was incredible, pedal feel was really good and they showed no sign of fade. Will gave me some caliper temperature stickers which showed the calipers were getting plenty warm but still no sign of fade

The AD08RS's were also excellent with fantastic grip and minimal wear in the high temperatures although even they went off a bit after about 3 laps in the high afternoon temperatures.
Schroth Asm 3 harnesses were also really good and gave a really nice sense of connection to the car.
Couple of random pictures from the day

Removed the bonnet vent covers ready for tomorrow at Bedford as it's supposed to be really warm. Be interesting to see what difference the vents do actually make to underbonnet temperatures.

I got my recall done at Bristol Motorline South. I've driven 70 miles since in a very spirited way and the car seems fine. Paul (master technician there) seems to be knowledgeable and familiar with pitfalls associated with this job.

According to the research I've done it's the anti-roll bar slowly moving in the dirty rubber bushings as it loads when you turn the wheel slowly. Since getting to it is a real pain I suggest you ignore or try lubing with silicone spray or other rubber friendly penetrating fluid.

Yep I also found the window controls rattle noticeably more with the focal speaker upgrade. A bit of sound deadening to the underside of the panel helped a bit but I've not stopped it completely yet

IIRC they stopped making them.  They're probably the nicest lip spoiler available, the only downside is they don't cover the bootlid holes from the OEM spoiler, so for most early cars it was a reasonable amount of work if you wanted one.

Had an issue develop post recall with my car stalling in traffic. It then developed an uncharacteristic Subaru burble and felt like it was missing at low rpm. I took it to RRG but there were no fault codes and they couldn't find anything wrong. After a second visit and again no diagnosis it threw a code on the way home, P0017 which indicates camshaft/crankshaft position sensor. Richard and Gary diagnosed this as a faulty idle control valve as it changes the exhaust cam timing up to 3000rpm where the VVTi takes over. This fitted the symptoms perfectly as at higher rpms the car drove as good as ever.
Gary fitted a new idle control valve this morning, it didn't take long as it's two bolts on the end of one of the exhaust camshafts and is easily accessible. I gave it a shake down after and the car is totally transformed, well by that it's back to normal. Nice steady idle and more importantly pulling cleanly at low revs where lets face it you spend most of your time in road driving.
TGB will be picking up the bill which is a result.
Now ready for my trackday at Blyton Park tomorrow.
A huge thanks to the team at RRG as ever.

Went down the Tuning Developments Friday. Mike and Nick did a great job of fitting the UEL tuning package. Unfortunatly my car had a Miltek system on it and it was cracked when they checked it so I also went for one of there own super resonated systems.
Car feels so much more responsive now and really wants to fly through the rev range without hesitation. The burble is addictive and really brings out the charactor of the car. Im glad I went for super res system as I wouldnt have enjoyed it any louder.
Whilst at TD I had some 25mm Tein lowering springs fit and the shifter springs.
Yesterday before Japfest I fit my Wedssport TC105x 17" wheels. The things are stupidly light (6.7kg 8" and 7.1kg 9"). I had a set of PS4 tyres fit after reading all the reviews.
    Heres how she looks now:

Going forward I have spoiler raisers and black badges on order. I feel the car needs coilovers to sit right on the 17" wheels. Im also really tempted by the TD turbo kit 🙈

Had a few days delay a couple of years back. Similar thing, I got stopped by some very friendly and understanding police officers 🤔. Luckily i had a copy of the documents on my phone, still didn't stop them giving me a 40 min 'chat' at the side of the road.

I think that should be standard thread pitch.
At least the bolts that connect the mid pipe and the 2nd cat originally are 8mm with 12mm head with standard pitch. Don't over think it
Buy few sizes bolts i.e. 8mm/13mm head and 10mm/17mm head if you are unsure what size the bolt will be. Then just try to screw the bolt on the hanger nut by hand if it goes easily it would be okay.
