Keith has the big big brakes (355mm kit), space saver is also no good if you have the JBL sub either.

Id go with the Holts Tyreweld, that reinflates the tyre too. Much simpler.

Cheers. They're 17x9 and I got them from Wheelbase. The matte silver is lovely.

When I saw these released I immediately thought they'd look awesome on your car! How spooky. What size are they? And where did you get them from? I'm tempted by a set in the matte silver.

I will add that if you don't want this problem to manifest itself again glue the pin in, then you aren't just relying on a press fit.
I had the same issue, for those who do this don't go mad with pushing the pin back in either, being tapered and made of metal it will split the plastic case of the arm rest! I just noticed mine had a crack in it before I went any further. Superglue works just fine.

Christ you have absolutely no luck do you. Gutted for you Smudge.
I'm not sure what id do in your position but I'd imagine the overwhelming first urge would be to break it. I would cool off for a bit then make a rational decision.

Turns out that modifying houses is even more expensive than modifying cars, so after messing about for a year, I decided to get my priorities right and treated her to some rims as a reward for being so well behaved (touch wood) since the recall work as done. She seems to be running very sweetly indeed since being taken to bits and put back together again. Long may it continue. Anyway, back to the mods, big thanks to @Adrian@TORQEN for sorting me out with some rims. I did come extremely close to pulling the trigger on some TE37s but couldn't get the precise fitment I wanted, so decided to save a few quid on some Enkeis and uphold the tradition of WR Blue with Gold. Very pleased with the look. Perhaps still sitting bit high, but I've got plans for that. First things first though, setup tomorrow to get her back in alignment.

@Varelco you could find stock brakes weight on the ft86 forum and will be able tell you how much the CP9200 weigh hopefully this or next week. Reyland just dispatched my kit.

BTW I asked Reyland to add the kit on eBay because I was not comfortable giving my card details over the phone and they did. There are another 3 sets available on eBay if anyone is interested.

It's a fair bit lighter. I didn't weigh when fitting, but the new calipers and discs were a fraction of the weight of the OEM items. Like comfortably lift with your little finger type of weight.

    @Mike
Here some of my observations of the various kits - bare in mind I thought about this for 18 months before committing to the Reyland kit.
I actually ordered but then cancelled both the Essex AP Racing Sprint kit and the Godspeed AP kit, before settling on the Reyland kit, this was after speaking with @Ade and one of the technical team at AP Racing.
These are for the approx 330mm kits (355mm+ kits have different requirements)

Tein recommend rebuilding their dampers every 3 years or 36k miles, less if they have been used on track. There isn't some magic used that means they go miles longer between overhaul.
Whatever you go for ohlins, Teins, KW Moton etc they will all recommend having an overhaul at some stage.

I'd spend the money on better dampers to be honest rather than worry about the Edfc system. Better dampers with better valving, etc will be more beneficial in the long run.

Both the TD and Avo kit have their strengths and weaknesses it's down the personal preference but in short they are the most popular kits for UK cars.

    A Supra for 30k? Not a chance.
The Supra is in a different market segment not to mention it's strictly a 2 seater. Toyota also mentioned that the Supra is compliment a sports car line up, not replace it.

Well it seems that the UK oversold it's A90 Edition, some buyers have mentioned getting an apology from TGB for the cock up. Plus it seems that all Pro spec have also gone. Not sure when the next lot will be available, but well done to anyone who got one!

    I can't see the GT86 going anywhere.
First of all Toyota has already spoken about another joint venture for a new GT86 for 2021(ish), bearing in mind the Supra has been on the cards from at least 2014 so its not a sudden spanner in the works
There seems to be a general belief that Toyota still want a 3 sports car line up, (Akio Toyoda still wants it) although given Toyotas track record its hard to figure out what they are doing, The little S-FR just seemed to fade away never to be seen again.
I very much doubt you will see any change from £35-£38k for a baby Supra, which puts it in a different market to the GT86, not to mention its strictly a 2 seater. It makes perfect sense to exploit the opportunity to offer different powertrains for the Supra chassis seeing as they already exist.
Who knows if the GT86 was a success in Europe or not, we don't work for Toyota so don't know targets, but i think its reasonable to presume that these cars are important for the brand image rather than to be money makers, Toyota are one of the manufacturers of white goods for the car industry, other models are more important for the income.
The UK market is quite hostile for sports car, everyone is obsessed with anything hot hatch and German.
