Which garage are you using?
Snows in Plymouth. Only because I work in Plymouth. No idea if they're any good - they did one service ok as far as I could tell. Just have to take my chances haha

I'll let you know how I get on.

If you see me starting a post about a new engine, you'll know what happened

Beadles Toyota Medway want me to come in for an hour assessment before starting work, made them aware of mod work carried out by Fensport and Abbey. They said they will contact them and made no mention of additional charges, but they have offered to fit my new clutch FoC, I will supply part.

There won't be additional charges for your car being modified, don't worry. There is an agreement to fit clutches and plugs with no labour charges.

Anybody in Scotland received a letter yet? Or do we need to visit the dealers and ask? Just trying to find this out, I did not get any letters or emails so far.

Hardly anyone has received a letter. You can either wait or go to your dealer and ask.

@Lauren Do we have some sort of proof of this we can show the more stubborn dealers? Or is it a case of find a new dealer? As paying full whack for a service that others are offering so much cheaper is ridiculous.

I was informed that the tools required to carry out the work are going from dealer to dealer. Not sure whether that has any truth behind it or not however.

Car was finished yesterday. Fantastic service from the team at Motorline Horsham. I was very well looked after and special thanks to John for going that extra mile!! 😉

Brand new courtesy car, aircon re gas, spark plugs fitted free, spotlessly clean and car feels great = happy customer :)

The only downside in all of this is I had to say a teary-eyed goodbye to the red beauty..............

I’ve just collected my 15 Reg GT 86 (17,000 miles) from Westover Toyota Bournemouth after the recall work. I left the car for 6 days because it was easier. They gave me the impression they were trying as hard as they could to keep me happy - for example one of ‘the two GT86 specialists’ was happy to talk to me for as long as I wanted about the work involved and the training he had received specifically for the recall itself. He said they had done 8 already, there were two more to finish before mine and they were expecting about 24 more eventually. He also said he would make sure he used 5w30 oil as he remembered I had asked for this on my last service. I just paid £85 for new plugs.

I had to make the decision whether to book in before, or wait till after, the track day I had booked for this Bank Holiday Monday (May 27th) at Anglesey - watch this space!

I’m relieved my car is still within the manufacturer’s original warranty period and will absolutely make sure I extend this when it expires next year. Interestingly our friendly local family workshop owner/mechanic says he always takes out the dealer’s extended warranty on his own cars, when I asked him whether we should take one out on my wife’s CRV after the 3 year warranty expired.

Fingers crossed for Monday’s track day when my son and brother-in-law are driving as well...

It's down to when the car was built, not when it was registered.

Further to my post above, have just completed trip to North Wales from Bournemouth at late night motorway speeds uneventfully so have a bit more confidence about tomorrow’s track day.

I've done a track day and two sprints since the recall, no problem. You'll be fine. :)

Which Motorline? I've booked mine in for Week Commencing July 15th with Bristol North Motorline Toyota including the 60k service for just parts cost of stuff thats not being changed as part of the recall. Also they have requested a clutch in case I would like to change it. Said courtesy cars likely to be a Toyota C-HR

EDIT - Just noticed your comment further down. Horsham

I bought my car last month from Bristol North Motorline, they did the recall as part of the inspection. I've had no problems, you'd never know they touched it.

Didn't get an 86 as a courtesy car, ended up with a new Corolla. Wasn't best pleased with that but I'm surprisingly taken with it. Lane assist and active cruise is a hoot on the motorway, it pretty much does everything for you!

The track day at Anglesey was great thanks! I found it more challenging than Castle Coombe and Thruxton.

The car travelled 350 miles to get there over 2 days, the only thing I noticed after the recall was that I had to top up the coolant level a couple of times, but it settled down before the track day.

Three of us thrashed the car non-stop all day, nearly running out of fuel twice, so we certainly tested the recall work as far as we could. So far so good...
