I have this and its very good. Pricey but even with decat manifold, and hfc front pipe it's still quite respectable volume-wise and no drone . If you are stock manifold and front pipe you might find it slightly too quiet though

The kit was updated after the issues that I said about above , with a little time on Google your see the HKS kit part number has changed. We have sold a fair few of the later kits ( early kits that failed while in warranty where replaced with the Up-dated kit)
Just remembered I had to chase you for my loaner Ecutek kit took you over a month of chasing for it to be returned?
    Did you sell the car?

I've split the Harrop thread up to remove the HKS Supercharger chat as it holds no relevance to the Harrop discussion.
Please keep all HKS chat to this thread.

Because he didn't reply to you straightaway, you defamed him and his business by stating matter of factly that he knowingly sells products that are faulty.
There's a reason why social media and trolling is in the news at the moment, because "people" will do this stuff with the cover of anonymity.
I'm afraid "not replying to me within 8 hours" is not an acceptable defense!

Some good info, confirms my hunch that I should avoid the DS2500 that comes as standard and spec something else.

I was running Ferodo DS2500 at the time (the standard pads that come with the kit - hated them with a passion), the discs had seen approx. 8 track days at that point IIRC. I wouldn’t say that the DS2500 is a particularly aggressive pad, in fact I would say they were far too mild for my liking.
Now switched to PMu HC+ but haven’t tracked the car enough (due to lockdown) to tell if the compound has made a difference. That said, they are excellent pads for pure road use but not aggressive enough on track - I have ordered a set of Endless ME20 which will be going on as soon as the PMus wear down.

Top marks for trying to justify a BBK to yourself by that issue though. 😁

Assuming @3782mc doesn't mind me sharing this, he was getting irregular wear on the discs and they were leaving noticeable groves on the rotors, ones you could feel.

Have you had the tuner specifically install a pops and bangs map though?
Tuners don't do that as default as it's basically badly mapped to get that to happen.
You specifically have to ask for it (why you'd want to though is another issue....)

Pops &  bangs come from ecu tune. By keeping injecting fuel and adjusting ignition and exhaust valve timings with such "feature" in ecu tune unburnt fuel gets thrown out in exhaust where it further burns/detonates producing those bangs.
It's not as if cat deletion is how to get those,  just that with such tune cats won't live long but can soon/easily be damaged, thus better not done on car with still catalisators in it.
My own view would be to not bother with such things. To me unless those bangs are from real function such as turbo misfiring system/blow off valve or alikes, hearing such bangs from NA engine seems a bit too much of posing (alongside would be hated  by all neighbors & becoming cop magnet). One thing is just reasonably louder exhaust, another something that rather hurts performance or damages parts. Imho not worth it. Like fitting uber-oversized rear wing on car that is only daiily driven, with mostly biggest impact being hurt fuel economy due increased drag.

3782mc reacted to Lauren in Directors wanted!
    Dear all,
As many will know, Rob, Keith, Alec and I setup this club back in April 2013. Many years have passed and we now find ourself in the situaiton where we would like to put out to find replacement directors.
Alec has been lost to Elite Extreme, Rob sold his car years ago and Keith is finding himself far less involved with the club than he used to. I as many know have a new car on order, a GR Yaris, but I am happy to stay on as I have so many friends I've made through the club and am still around for day to day running of the club. I also want to ensure continuity.
What does being a director involve?
We are directors of a not for profit limited company. This means that as a director you have limited liability in the unlikely event that some disgruntled person decides to sue the club, it means they cannot sue you directly. Important for your own protection, unfortunately.
I want to see new directors, for which there are three available position, take the club forward. We have a new GT86 to look forward to next year and it's fair to say that the club has grown very well and we are well established in the show and motorsport scene.
It will mean that a director (though you can delegate to committee members) will need to take care of the club accounts and paypal accounts and we will also need someone to cover the club clothing side and the like. Further work is needed with affiliates to ensure they pay their dues as we rely on trader fees and membership to pay for the running of the club.
I welcome any questions and I would say it's very rewarding sometimes. I am also very proud of what we have achieved in the last seven years and I'd love to see it continue.

Yes my experience with FedEx (and most couriers) has been the same, I normally just got with JapanPost for that reason in which case RM or Parcelforce handle the charges and they tend to be pretty accurate with the calculations.
