Ok, well if you are not members the usernames of the people attending won't mean anything to you anyway. It is probably more useful to say there are currently 18 people signed up for the meet.

Glad you got it sorted, Nigel, also good to get it under warranty as I wondered if a wheel bearing would be covered at your mileage. Alas for me I'm beyond the warranty now with my mileage so it came in at £290 fitted. It's surprising how a worn wheel bearing affects how the exhaust sounded, it really ruined it on mine, now it's back to it's tuneful self without having to compete with the wheel bearing drone!

How many miles has your car done, now Nigel?
    Also which bearing has gone?
Did Motorline Gatwick not do a diagnosis then? You would have thought they would have been able to tell.
Just had mine done. It's a lot quieter now.

Well the good news is you will get it covered under warranty. It's not particularly cheap! Maybe they should have done what RRG did and put it up on the lift and got the wheels rotating under drive as you could fairly easily hear it on mine when I put my ear relatively close to the spinning wheel. Still, I suppose you got a diff oil change early!
Mine is easily the highest mileage car RRG service so it's often the case that it's a first on mine. I do have the advantage of Gary though.

Popped down to RRG first thing and took Gary for a ride. I was told by Gary no sideways and that he wasn't a good passenger. So we trundled up the Silk Road so he could hear the whining. Richard had money on it being a wheel bearing. We came back on the old Macc Road which involved a greasy roundabout. Greasier than I was expecting. Sorry Gary!
Gary got it up on a four post lift and stuck 'young-un' in the car, so they could get it running and listen for noises. Richard gave me a shout and I was able to hear the noise the nearside rear wheel bearing was making. A good way to do it, I thought!
Wheel bearing has been ordered and car will be booked in for a week's time. There was no play in the bearing, it's just noisy.
Excellent service at RRG as always and we had a bit of a laugh with my antics with Gary, well Richard thought it was funny.

No we would just have 2 different slip angle maps on 2 different separate maps switched via the normal EcuTek map switching procedure

We been waiting for a Ecutek RaceRom update to allow us to push on our Traction control development , being a master tuner we have a Beta RR package that allows us to do this.
With some carefully built RR maps and the EVI Ecutek Bluetooth module we have got a pretty good adjustable traction control set up still needs some more work but already it is pretty good     Your see wheel slip at the bottom being controlled. Throttle pedal is fully down commanding 80% throttle butterfly opening but our RaceRom custom maps is keeping the Throttle butterfly only @ 54% reducing the power together with reducing timing normally @ 5000rpm and 1.9 engine load we would see around 23/24 deg timing our RaceRom maps are dropping the timing to around 14 degs to reduce the power to keep the wheel speed (slip) under control. The traction is controllable via the Ecutek Bluetooth EVI with a slider to adjust the amount of traction control   We should soon have this sorted so when the new RaceRom update is released it will be available to our Ecutek tuned customers. We hope to have 2 levels calibrated to enable use without having a Ecutek EVI module but it wont be adjustable by the driver

Test Drives Unlimited reacted to Lowe in Fixing the centre box lid
So earlier today on parking up I went to get my phone out of the centre box. As I opened the lid it came off in my hand. Luckily it seems to be a fairly simple fix, so I thought I'd share in case it happens to anyone else. There's two pins which act as the hinge, and in my case one had come off and fallen inside the lid itself.

Right hand side has the hinge pin in place. Left one is missing.

Turn the lid upside down. You'll see 6 screw caps - use a flat bladed screw driver or similar to pop these off. Under neath you'll find allen bolts holding the lid together.

Undo them all and hopefully you'll find the lost pin inside.

The pin itself is split, so it expands along its length and holds itself in place. Put it back in so that the expanded end is inside the lid.

Put the lid back in the car and then reassemble. Easy

Although based on your OP you're still insured by a LV subsiduary. I always find it Bizarre that brokers can get better prices than the actual parent company.

i used them a lot as i mostly drive at night and i never use the high beam as my eyes adjust easier to oncoming traffic lights if i stay on low beam and foglights instead of high beam. also the oem ones were quite yellow the led ones are as white as the headlights so it looks better as well. i've seen some people having problems with the clutch sensor, but that still does not explain the ecu fuse blowing every time.

Congratulations on your Giallo! Not many are willing to commit to that bold a colour.
The gearbox responds better once you have some heat in the oil. That can take 15 minutes of driving at this time of year, at which point it is very satisfying to use. However, the synchros need some help - I think they're a bit slippy when cold, but diligent rev matching will make it much easier. Throttle blips are essential when coming down the box. Give it a week or two, then see if you still think it's problematic.
The headunit volume knob does loosen off a bit once it has been worked for a while, but yes, the headunit is a bit sucky. Sat Nav is quite bad, and loves to navigate down stupid roads, bluetooth connectivity is ok, and the standard speakers are a really poor use of cardboard. You will likely have to search long and hard for a headunit if you don't want to use inserts. Toyota's units overlap the sides of the double din mount, whereas most aftermarket ones don't have the oversize fascia.
Cruise control won't engage below 28/29 mph, and cuts out if you change gear. You push the stalk button to get the cruise control light on the dash, and push the stalk down to set it at the speed you are moving. After that you nudge speed up and down, or cancel by pulling the stalk toward you. Up on the stalk is to resume the last set speed. If you understand that and it doesn't work, the somebody needs to look at the electrics.
The boot lid has quite short and stubby hinges to rotate around and it's not particularly heavy, so it does need a bit of a bang to lock. If you're used to German cars, I'm not surprised you feel odd about it - Toyota has saved weight everywhere, so all the body panels are unweighted/flimsy. It's 150kg lighter than the equivalent Z4!
    Enjoy your car!

Test Drives Unlimited reacted to Lauren in Oil and coolant temps
I've done 110k miles and five years of track days and sprinting. I have seen oil temps upto 129C. It does weirdly seem to stabilise a bit at those temps. Mind you sprinting is irrelevant as you won't get the temps hot enough over one lap. On track days I only run for 10 minutes or so at at time. Anymore and my concentration is going anyway, but doing shorter stints means the oil temps don't get that high. I've yet to fit an oil cooler. I think it's a good idea, but really you will only need it if you are doing long sessions on track.
