Took my first couple of victims over the past week.

A 12 plate Leon Cupra R was up my bum leading on to a dual carriageway near my house, 2nd gear pull from 30 upwards through to 4th and I pulled on him consistently. With my custom map boost is now building from 2800-3000 onwards easily now, it is so much better.

Then the other day, a Revo tuned silver Octavia VRS on an 07 was taken off the lights up to 4th gear. Started off behind him, then as we hit the top of 2nd/start of 3rd I pulled out into the lane next to us and made inroads as we got into 4th.The guy driving and passenger pulled up alongside me at the next roundabout and asked why the thing went like shit off a shovel.. all I did was raise my eyebrows and I said... boost... and rolled the window up and they just laughed!

Can't wait until the engine is forged and I can start pushing it further.

Brakes and tyres are next though and will be done within the next 1-2 months. Saving hard at the moment

After almost a year since that fateful day that I hurt my poor baby, my car was finally booked in for it's long overdue repairs. The car was dropped off back in March 31st to a small garage with a lonely old man working his socks off call A.J.Artus in Birmingham around the corner from Star City.   So after my lil design moment in seeing how a black boot would look as well as the whole fiasco with the retard fabricator who thought front fender vents should face fowards, I had to change some of the plans/designs and ended up going full carbon fibre bonnet and fenders. Sadly because of that, the work dragged on a lot longer than anticipated (and hiked up the price big time   ....wouldn't have been a problem if I was able to get the OEM fenders with the vents facing the right bloody way!!!). I thought the Seibon stuff were supposed to be pretty good stuff but they were a serious pig to fit and even worse, had lots of pin holes and rough edges in the laquer which needed sorting out in order to get them painted properly. Another problem that occurred was that I was going to stick on a subtle body kit too but it required a lot of fettling and probably bonding to the car, and since I wasn't sure if I would like the design, I decided against it and didn't bother with it in the end, so something else will go in it's place but no time soon I'm afraid.   I popped in as often as I could, this meant almost every other weekend and any days off I had as April and May were full of the odd days off with 2 long stag do weekends as well as being stupidly busy at work. So I needed as much rest as I could but could never truly rest with all this going on at once, never mind the worry of the car and all the problems that came up because of it    But I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, the car will be picked up finally tomorrow morning (fingers crossed) and then I'll be heading straight down to meet Lauren at GPRM, then Rob at some dude's garage in Chiseldon, then down to the Premier Inn in Chippenham ready for Japfest at Castle Combe on the Saturday and then over to the Supercar Seign at Leeds Castle on the Sunday.....a very very busy weekend again!!!   Pics of the colour change will be posted tomorrow night so stay tuned!!!

Well today, I had a bit of spare time and I couldn't stop myself from getting on with fitting some of the parts I have collected.

First job was to get rid of the cloth interior and fit the alcantara/leather one I had picked up.  This started with a very nervous but easy strip down of the interior, all this came out after only 14 bolts.  I've only had it 3 days which made this nerve racking.  However now I have got this out the way I wont feel so bad pulling other parts off it.  I want to try and do the majority of the spanner work on this car myself, its one thing that got me excited about my old R53 MINI as we did all the work.  With the clubby I was lazy and got Millsy's to do most of the work for me, which was easier and he did a great job but you dont get that satisfaction that you have achieved something yourself.

First job before touching anything was to disconnect the battery:

    Good bye cloth interior:

Out came the interior, I found it easy to just remove the rear side panels to get at the rear bolts on the back seats:

Much better, I'm really pleased with the difference as the seats now match all the red stitch detail throughout the car.  I haven't hooked up the heated seat switches just yet, I am going on the hunt for the wiring tomorrow.

The beauty of modifying is doing it your own way.

To be honest they are a bit too in your face for me, however I commend the colour coordination and I applaud how much you have made the car stand out from any other owners really.
