You could strip every modification and the car would be worth that price. An absolute bargain.

When I do sell my BRZ I won't be putting it back to stock. I haven't kept the original parts anyway, but to be honest I buy a car and use it for my daily commute so I'm getting maximum value from it. I don't expect to yield much value at the end and I never expect to recoup the cost of the mods. That isn't the point, I've already enjoyed their value.
It won't be for 3-4 years yet, when I retire.

    Hi Jay,
Coil-overs aren't a problem it is the lowering and that troughs sharpness. I had my Tein Flex-A lowered to 30mm to still me to go over speed bumps. You can stiffen the suspension to reduce the give, but it will make for a slightly more unpleasant ride.
I have the automatic EDFC system that stiffens when needed based on speed and g force.
You will still need to experiment to find out what works for you mate

Got to admit, that's probably the least likely thing I'd ever hear anyone say when modifying a car 😂

Fitted the third brake light lowering kit. It was all fairly straightforward - probably the trickiest bits are removing and refitting the parcel shelf itself. Looks more OEM than OEM imho.

Bought some new wheel nuts for when the tyres were swapped. I was really impressed by these - they are open ended nuts which the red piece screws into using a special tool they provide. They've even gone to the effort of sealing it with a rubber o-ring.

Took the car to Rogue Motorsport to swap the new track tyres on and give the car a quick check over before the two trackdays I have coming up next week

I had repair and an attempt to match the original colour - it's close.
I don't have a before and after pic - i didn't take a pic of quite how poor my wheels had become - i had removed them in Nov18 and must've put them away damp - they had been shrink wrapped and stored on a pallet in a warehouse for 6 months - when I unwrapped them with a view to sticking them back on the car they were in a horrible state!

Had an amazing day at Anglesey on Monday. It's the first time I've been but I'd definitely like to go back. I spent the majority of the day trying to get my head around the correct lines and even by the end there were still several corners I wasnt entirely sure about.
Here's a video from my second session of the day:-
    Plenty of room for improvement!
A couple of photos from the day too. I was the only 86 there which seems to be quite rare on most trackdays now.

Once you've taken all the oem stuff apart and put the wiring harnesses into the new one it's fairly straightforward. There are two plugs that go into the oem stereo that won't plug into anything with this one (think they are to do with the oem optional Nav). I fitted the WiFi antenna and GPS antenna and routed them behind the glove box. The WiFi antenna I fixed on the underside of the top of the glove box and the gps receiver I ran up to the dashboard and fitted it between the vents and the speaker grill against the windscreen.
You do need to be super, super careful with the wiring harness that plugs the screen into the stereo base though. I've managed to tweek mine and currently it's not working properly!

MangoNo5 reacted to GTB in Gearbox Issue - Think I`ve Cracked It !
Since day 1 my gearbox has not been acceptable in its operation. 1st to 2nd has always been crunchy, 2nd to 3rd intermittently crunchy and general gear selection poor. It would often clunk all the way to the back axle when engaging first which is a sure sign the clutch is not fully breaking and is dragging. The car went back to Toyota twice for "adjustment" with no improvement. I fitted Redline MTL oil and had Abbey fit MTEC shift springs. A little improvement but not significant. I read on the FRS forum about altering the bite point lower and tried this. Whilst it improved driveability it actually made the problem worse and the placebo effect soon wore off.

I have been convinced from day 1 that the issue owners experience is clutch drag. Have experienced this so many times on bikes with cable operated clutches if the cable is not kept well lubricated and adjusted.

Yesterday at The Trundle I sat in Subota Boys car and felt his clutch - ooer ! Totally different to mine. After he sat in my car we both agreed that my clutch felt like it had air in it. I was all prepared to do some bleeding this weekend when today I strayed across an excellent website. Read it through a couple of times and it all made sense. Watched the video a couple of times and the guy actually has a clutch assembly on the bench to show you what to do (same as moving bite point). I set my clutch this afternoon EXACTLY how he says and double checked it. The actuator is on top of the clutch housing so you don`t need the buddy he mentions to check actuator operation.

I have just been out for a spin and can`t believe the difference. Bite point is probably now higher than from when I got it but gearchanges very very good. You can just feel the massive improvement. No baulking, no crunching and much much smoother. The pedal is more solid and feels exactly how it should, not like it has air in it.

I highly recommend anyone with the crunchy nut gearbox to try this. It is just a 10 minute job. Read the website and watch the video a couple of times. The setting is quite critical it would appear. Perhaps this car is quite sensitive to the set up and a general assembly at the factory is not sufficient ?

I`ll keep you posted but so far very very impressed.

Toyota could do with taking note of this site:

The track day at Anglesey was great thanks! I found it more challenging than Castle Coombe and Thruxton.
The car travelled 350 miles to get there over 2 days, the only thing I noticed after the recall was that I had to top up the coolant level a couple of times, but it settled down before the track day.
Three of us thrashed the car non-stop all day, nearly running out of fuel twice, so we certainly tested the recall work as far as we could. So far so good...
