BTW, recalling one funny case of weird car handling. Lot of time was spent on debugging handling problem in suspension/alignment .. real issue was one of tires (of asymetric thread pattern) was mounted on wheel wrong way and i somehow didn't notice it after tire mount shop

Surely mileage that low would be an issue with the car. Can’t see the brand of petrol having that much of an impact

Yup. Stock brakes can lock your tires already, so you literally cant gain from more braking force.
However, give it 15 or so 60to10mph hard brakes, and suddenly your stock system isnt stopping you as well as the brakes are fading.
BBK will take longer to start that fading process.
NB - Its also for looks.

sam534 reacted to Minion in Toyota GT86 TRD stage 2 Tuning developments Turbo
Time to put my boosted Toyota GT86 TRD up for sale. I have owned this car for over five years now and have loved every minute of it. The only reason I’m looking to sell it now is to be a sensible (boring*) adult and buy my own place sooner rather than later.
It is the rare TRD edition which from memory only sold around 180 in the country when first released and was a serious premium over the stock car. The Trd comes with the full Trd body kit which looks much more aggressive than the stock body, Trd gearknob, Trd fuel cap & 18” Trd wheels which are made by Enkei. It also has the factory fitted sat nav.
It has had the Turbo kit fitted for just over 2 years now and in that time I have had zero issues with it whatsoever. The car has done around 48k miles and only 8-10k of that has been boosted so certainly not had a hard life. Looks wise the car is fairly stock but the following modifications are fitted to the car –

    ·         Tuning developments stage 2 turbo kit which includes the following - unequal length manifold, precision cea billet turbocharger, tial mvr 44mm external wastgate, intercooler, turbo blanket, uprated exedy clutch, omni power map sensor, 320lph fuel pump & 850cc injector dynamics injectors
    ·         Tuning developments lightweight flywheel
    ·         Tuning developments oil cooler
    ·         custom front and rear black badges (Look much nicer than the standard silver Toyota ones)
    ·         beatsonic shark fin aerial
    ·         cobra over pipe
    ·         cobra secondary de cat
    ·         custom fabricated tuning developments 2.5 inch cat back with quad slash cut tips
    ·         m-tec shifter springs
    ·         power flex gearbox rear mount insert
    ·         cusco extended throttle pedal
    ·         gas bonnet struts
    ·         Cosworth baffled sump
    ·         blockhead dual rhd gauge pod holder
    ·         Aem digital boost gauge
    ·         Aem digital oil pressure gauge
    ·         Cusco magnetic oil drain plug

The car made around 330hp when it was mapped on the dyno at 8psi of boost & a lower map of around 280hp at 5psi (Can’t remember the exact figures from the top of my head). It has always been correctly warmed up before driving and has only been a weekend toy for a good number of years but I’m seeming to use it less and less so hence the saleL. It has always been well maintained and comes with full service history.
There are a couple of imperfections which I’d rather be honest about –
1 – There are 1 or 2 small stone chips on the bonnet, these cars seem prone to it and obviously a 7 year old car is likely to have the odd stone chip but want to be as honest as possible. Otherwise the car is in very good condition
2 – I noticed the tyres have just started perishing from not being used enough so I’ll be looking to replace these in the next few weeks. If it gets sold before I replace them it will be reflected in the price

I’m looking for £15,750 which considering a stock trd sells for 14-15k and the turbo bill alone for this was just under £8k I feel like this is a good price. I am open to sensible offers and would possibly accept a part ex depending what it is. The car is located in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Any questions just ask. Thanks

Update 20/03/2020 - Bucket Seat Fitting
At the start of the year myself, @Deacon & @Keethos were lucky enough to get some very cheap tickets for the AutoSport International show at the NEC. Normally we wouldn't bother going as the show can be very hit and miss, however as the tickets were cheap we thought why not. Whilst we was there, we heard that Cobra Seats were doing a special show discount on all seats ordered at the show. There was one particular seat I was interested in, the Cobra Nogaro. I'd seen this seat fitted to Paul Cowlands BRZ back in 2015 (https://twitter.com/paulcowland_/status/556138688988864512), and thought it worked really well with our stock interior. I particularly liked this seat as it's supportive but shouldn't sacrifice to much daily comfort, should be easily to get in and out of due to the low bolsters and you can also use the factory OEM seat belt with it. However due to the price and the fact I would rather have a Edirb 023/033 seat I basically ignored the idea, that was until I heard about Cobra's generous discount offer.
After speaking with @Deacon at the show we both agreed to buy one seat each, and would sell the seat to the other person if we didn't like it once fitted. A simple specification was given to Cobra, alcantara center, leather sides and red stitching, to match the OEM interior. Now the next hurdle would be sourcing some seat mounts, I didn't specifically want a fixed mount and I wasn't happy with the aftermarket options available, due the reports of flexing and various rattles/creaks they can make. This is another reason why I didn't consider buying an aftermarket seats before now. However about 6 months ago a post was made on the FT86Club forum by an owner in the US, who found a company which manufactures seat mounts in house that utilize the OEM sliders for multiple different cars and had just developed a set for his BRZ (link: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137015), these looked like the perfect solution. I showed the guys at Rogue Motorsport this seat mount design and asked them what they thought about this design. They basically said, that it looks like a functional design, but was concerned about whether it'd fit with the Cobra Nogaro seats. They also said they'd probably be able to make them cheaper (once you've added on shipping and taxes, etc).
Two months later, the seats arrived at Rogue Motorsport, by this point they'd come up with a seat mount design but needed a car to test on, fortunately @Deacon had his car booked in the following week, so they used his OEM sliding frame mechanism to test their first prototype, which @Deacon ran for a few weeks before he suggested a couple of changes to the seat position, so he's now running V2 of the seat mount. I was booked in a couple of weeks after this, rather then Rogue making a new prototype they asked if I could try the V1 prototype mount for a couple of weeks and report back my findings. I'll update the thread in due course, unfortunately due to everything thats going on at the moment, I haven't driven the car alot.
Whilst I was at Rogue they changed my brake & clutch fluid along with replacing my dodgy coilpack, which they then covered with a heat resistance/reflective material (all four coilpacks were covered). Which should hopefully stop the issue from happening again, if not they will try fabricating a metal plate to try and block the heat. They also might have found a couple of blows on my ACE CS400 exhaust manifold, however they won't know this until they can remove it, they didn't want to do this as my manifold has been on about 4 years and thought the gaskets might disintegrate, I need to source some replacements.
Here are some pictures of the seat and the seat mount:

Maybe try some bilthamber atom mac next time you suspect that they may stick. Detailer use it to prevent disk rusting after cleaning. When you park up, just liberally spray on the disk surface a caliper.

How much tracking are you doing? I swap tyres (2 sets of wheels) between ps4 for road and ad08r for track. But I'd run the ad08r most of the year tbh, just not good in heavy rain and have to take it easy.

Will there is a min thickness for standard fronts it's min 22mm and new is 24mm for the rear it's min 16.5 and new is 18mm. Not sure if your BBK or not but check with AP etc what the min thickness is for your discs with the supplier.

    Measure with a micrometer.

    Follow-up!
Tapered bolts are for the injector ecu, standard bolts for coils, one short bolt for the fuel rail cover.
One of my coil pack cables wasn't quite clicked in it seems, as when I tweaked it, it clicked. Cleared the code on the ecu and the car got back into the mood. Coil C is rear most on the UK driver's side.

Carbon won't be repairable without filling and painting over. You can fill in the damage with resin that will stop it cracking but you won't be able to put in new weave

I got them for ATS Euromaster, however that was when they had money off Yokohama tyres and 10% fitting, so got an exceptionally good price.
They are cheaper on Camskill now.

Had an awesome day at Bedford yesterday with @willclarke and @will300. Car was absolutely faultless even in the near 30° heat and it was me giving out way before the car!
Oil temps never got over 116° even after an 8 lap stint. Running with the bonnet vents open seems to be good for around a 10° reduction in oil temperature as @will300 was running around 10° higher than me and we have the same oil cooler.
The pfc.08 pads were absolutely faultless - stopping power was incredible, pedal feel was really good and they showed no sign of fade. Will gave me some caliper temperature stickers which showed the calipers were getting plenty warm but still no sign of fade

The AD08RS's were also excellent with fantastic grip and minimal wear in the high temperatures although even they went off a bit after about 3 laps in the high afternoon temperatures.
Schroth Asm 3 harnesses were also really good and gave a really nice sense of connection to the car.
