I think I’ve managed to do it. Well. It’s plugged in with a bit of slack still in it so I guess I can only hope for the best

    Okay so!
The engine bay was making the famous cricket noises so Fish Brothers Swindon replaced the fuel pump under warranty and is all fixed. Someone reversed into my front wing so £350 later I have a new one painted and fitted.
Previous owner put lowering springs on which - despite the ride - I love however I lost a fight to a curb so my front bumper is being resprayed next week too.
Red brake callipers, lightweight pulleys, and a surprise all to come!
Finally, my car is on the Cobra Sport stand 1st October at Silverstone so if any of you are there say hi!

I live a five minute walk away from Tawny Owl on Dydale Road! I live with my mate there and pay him rent so my GT86 and my hearing-aid-beige Skoda Fabia Estate park in the only two visitor spots behind the flats haha!

Yes he was saying on the phone when I booked that a lot of these cars as stock at actually around 195bhp and are tuned to a real 205bhp. It's all relative though the feeling is still the same.
Im really looking forward to seeing if my intake kit and Cobra exhaust system including manifold have done anything to the stock bhp. I'll report back in a frenzy on Thursday I'm sure 😂

Hello from another Swindon owner, mine is a grey GT86. There's quite a few of us here, I know of three others within a ten minute walk, and at least one of them is also a member here

High flow cat pipe fitted today. Will get a video on my instagram and link it here soon. Can take up to 1000 miles for the tone to set in apparently

A little bit of maintenance and a cheeky cosmetic mod.
Firstly the car came with some Apollo Aspire 4Gs on the front axle, I wasn't blow away by their wet performance and they seemed to lose pressure for fun, so I decided to treat her right and put some lovely fresh rubber on all round. I must apologise for the green dust caps, apparently ATS think that's an ok thing to do.

I ran the MPSS on my 350z but as they are being consigned to history I decided to try these instead. So far so good and I can confirm there is definitely no more release agent on the rears
On to more frivolous pursuits, I've had my pipe blocked for some time now (ooohh and indeed errr) so it felt right to do away with this lot and add some lightness.

Everything still runs fine, so I guess it really doesn't do anything other than make a noise. I was just going to leave a hole in the intake pipe and just run the car like a boss, but in the end I decided to add even more lightness and some purple too.

Just need to find some more purple...
PS - Anyone else found the Samco intake pipe to be a bit of PITA to fit? It just didn't want to play with the airbox end, so I swore at it until it did.

High flow cat pipe from cobra has arrived. Will be fitting it this weekend all things equal so will get a video as soon as possible!
Got a few more bits of bling to add to the engine bay to so picture coming but for now just quickly fitted this today, Mishimoto black chrome gear shifter.
I just need something to cover that white plastic bit the reverse cap goes over.

Hey, just got my GT86 15 plate third owner (Demo/Pre-Reg, then first driver). Only 17400k on the clock!
I work at Volkswagen and was a lush part-exchange. My colleague coined this username so thought I'd try it out!

First of the serious, frivolous mods today.
    Requiring nearly all my tools.
As well as my Captain Brave pants.

Drilled into the inner skin of the boot lid.

    Fitted a dirty great rivet.

    Did some screwing.

After a few minutes hard work, the job was complete.

Can you tell what it is yet?

That's right!!!! It's a boot lid handle, in red! And with it being a mod, it's good for AT LEAST 15bhp, and the extra weight is over the driven wheels, so extra grip too!

I also found a random boot magnet, silver, on the right.

Does everyone on this platform have a random boot lid magnet? Or is it just me?

I've just got back from a week in Tuscany, our hire car was a Fiat 500L turbo diesel auto, what a truly awful combination, bloody thing was absolutely awful on the twisty roads and hairpin bends, what with the change down and turbo lag on hard acceleration it was like driving a kangaroo on heat😱 Getting back in my 86 on Monday was so Joyous😀

To follow on from @TTR's comment on Work wheels, if you get them from Work Wheels UK (Driftworks) they do 0% finance so that could be an option perhaps

I got a grimmspeed intake to fit on my Car, can't wait  Already have a cosworth panel filter and silicone hose but I want the noise and aesthetics.
Makes me laugh, people will pay 3 to 4 times as much for a cat back exhaust for the same performance gains but no one whinges about that.
