Yeah, you were in pretty bad shape so thought it'd be easier to just stick them in for you.....was thinking you would have noticed them sooner

Hi Everyone,
Just this minute signed up to this forum, I hope I get to know all of you over the coming years of owning my absolutely stunning Red GT86 that I took delivery of last Monday. I traded in my gorgeous Thunder Grey Celica GT pictured below, for a taste of life in an 86. I miss that car so much, I've had such an awesome time owning it, and met a load of great people over on Celica Club UK - A forum I still have membership to. But the time was right to move on to pastures new. the decision to buy the 86 has been the best I've ever made, but at the same time the worst, as it meant saying goodbye to an amazing car. Time to reveal the reason I'm here in this forum. She's absolutely perfect. 2014 model with barely run in mileage, part leather red interior which just goes so well with the red paint I think. Whilst I was looking around at what was on the market I saw a few with the red interior and from the photo's I really didn't like it at all, especially the red trim on the steering wheel, handbrake, gear knob etc. But as soon as I saw this one I fell in love with it. Took her for a drive and I was sold. After a week of ownership I'm getting to grips with things a lot more and starting to feel comfortable with the car, which is only helping to further my love for the car! Clutch work is still a bit hit and miss, but I'm sure I'll get there! Thanks for taking the time out to read what is probably the first post of many from me.
All the best,
Sam

Those tyre pics are the fronts after coming back from Italy. This pic was taken in August 2015. I had the geo re-done when I had a new set of tyres fitted all round (that pic is of a Primacy tyre that has done lots and lots of mileage and was given to me secondhand by Jamie). The current fronts have been on since August and had done 20K and are wearing very evenly.

I have also being planning THE most epic UK road trip. I think I will drive this before the N.coast 500 and turn it in to a 1,000 mile beast
This is what I have came up with so far. It's a work in progress, I tried to include all the places on amazing roads to visit including the Evo triangle, Yorkshire Dales, Butter tubs and the Tan Hill Inn, Loch Lomond and some gems I've previously found.

Snappy banter from a German lol
That would be pushing it, the only German I can think of to get English sarcasm, wit and dryness is Vettel.

I could do £600 all in, as I need the funds and space. But I can't go less as It cost me over £1900 new, I have receipts etc. Alunox who made it do the racing systems for the BAC Mono and many other racing cars. So its not just a random custom exhaust supplier, very good quality.

chillismoke reacted to Subota Boy in GT86/BRZ forum split
When we were trying to decide between the two (as we already owned Subaru and Toyota cars) we took a Toyota out for a test drive, straight to our nearest Subaru dealer, and drove the GT and BRZ back to back over the same route. Even took the salesman out in the GT after. The ride seemed to suit us better in the Toyota, and we preferred the front end of the Toyota also. I could not get on with the black plastic "gumshield" on the BRZ. Also preferred the black dash to the silver (now it is black on the BRZ as well), as for sounds, the head unit was poor in comparison on the Subaru as well.
Other than that they were very similar. We have owned sporty Subarus now for fifteen years, and my heart really wanted to prefer the BRZ, but as the Toyota is mostly Subaru parts anyway, we felt we were not straying far from the brand.
Noticed recently that even the Toyota emblem is made by Subaru.

Not wanting to distract from Chris's thread even more but you're 20 miles east of the Evo triangle at your start point of the Horseshoe pass (good but short) there Chris Would definitely join for some of that though, your route goes past my flat so can't say no

Chris you should add the A686 Penrith to Hexham. The A68 over the borders to Jedburgh is good too.

Well, I had a fun day today. I was a little bit anxious, thinking what do I say, but just told myself, 'talk to them!'
This seemed to be a good strategy, though proof will be in the pudding of course, but I found it pretty easy and found putting a microphone in front of someone, simply made them talk. No worries then!
Lots of rushing about from service area to service area followed, catching up with the drivers after every stage or two. It was hectic, but good fun and I thoroughly enjoyed the half an hour or so we had on stage four in Grizedale Forest. Seeing a MK2 Escort spectacularly sideways and then catching up with the driver at the service area, to have a natter. Great stuff, just loved it and getting to know the drivers helped me feel part of it.

Many thanks for the support from Drivers' Club members who bought photos through the year. Was my first time covering track days rather than race spectating, depending on dates I'm hoping to cover next year too. If anyone is interested in a CD for the whole season that I've covered (2-6) send a PM.
Got this winter to build the site properly (was thrown together quickly due to short notice) and streamline processes so photos can be up within a few days, spent far more than I've earned and had a few sleepless nights but I've enjoyed it and I hope I've managed to capture what you'd expect from such an event :)

Photobucket now playing ball, so some pictures
Sprayed interior (I managed to crack the windscreen when I was putting the role cage in, so didn't bother to mask it when I was spraying as it will have to be replaced)
Engine compartment - excess holes in the dash welded up, and the battery tray removed (battery will be going inside)
Electric power steering
Front subframe and suspension fitted (Tein coilovers)
Bias pedal box for the brakes, and the clutch master cylinder:
The back suspension is also in, buy I havn't taken any pictures of it yet.
