Great vid too. And the cars look so good in that colour (I’m a bit old for orange these days)

Hi everyone,
I've recently got my own 17 plate GT86 in white and I absolutely adore this car. It has been one of my favourite choices in the driving simulator Assetto Corsa and I'm happy to finally have it in flesh.
Below you will find a music video which we created to pay a tribute to this GT86 and we will appreciate it if you check it out.

Thanks,
Olegs

I seem to recall following @Lauren down there at near 100mph on a January day!
There's a couple of us signed up for Donington National on Nov 1st.

Donington it is. I’ve never been to Silverstone so may try the GP circuit one day, I know Donington in a Ginetta and an MX5 and loved it. Craners may be a little slippy in December though!

I would second what @VAD17 said. Silverstone National is 5 corners and a mile long. I've raced on it which is very entertaining, but as a track day, it's pretty boring. Hard to find a duller circuit with the exception of Llandow. I would look elsewhere. Donny either configuration. Cadwell is epic too. Mallory Park if you want a short circuit that is far more interesting than Silverstone National.
Of the two definitely go Donington National.

Silverstone National is not that great, GP is much more fun. Donny is good in either National or GP confirmation (although I have done each only once and both days were wet and slippery)

Get Mike to turn it up to 11, I have a SC now 😂 (I feel a bit like John McClane - "Now I have forced induction, ho ho ho"...)
Didn't realise you had Thruxton booked, I'm doing the one in October. Looks like that September date is sold out now.

My are Gramlight, but then I compensate extra weight with a bit extra power from TD Turbo
Nov 9th with Circuitdays is fully booked I think, but you can get on wait list and they probably will have few last minute spaces.
I am also doing Thruxton on Sep 22nd
And hopefully we will have a nice group of GT86s for Bedford GT on Nov 21st

There's this one through Circuit Days, Silverstone in early November. Between you, me, and @VAD17 we could make it 3 grey GT86s and 2 sets of TE37s 😂

Alignment done. Went to Drury Lane Garage in Oldham. Top class job done same day within a few hours, very friendly and got to chat about trackdays etc.
Now have -2.5 camber front, -2.0 rear and very slight rear toe-in. They checked over all my handiwork to ensure it was all safe. I left the dampers at 7 clicks. The wobbly handling is cured, hurray! Feels very planted so far, as much as you can feel on the road anyway.
Once the BBK is in, I'm rebooking the last track day I had planned that was cancelled due to covid back in March (anyone planning to do a Circuitdays event soon?). Will post some beauty shots of the finished car soon once its stopped pouring. Just saving up for the TD NA tune now.

If you haven't touched the toe then it will be miles out, when I did mine and drove a couple of miles to the alignment shop it felt like I was driving in a massive cross wind. Don't judge anything till you get an alignment.

I expect your rear toe is miles out. Get it aligned first then see.

If you've not had an alignment done, then you have no idea how much you've changed the geometry and this (plus tyre pressures?) can cause the car to handle badly, even dangerously. I would have had the alignment done as part of the suspension swap, or have it booked in ready for when you did the work if done at home.

245/40 is perfect on a 17".
You want the 35 profile on 18".

Love the wheels, seeing them makes me regret not getting a set, but they're so bloody expensive and they don't do them in gold. 😄
As for the tail lights, I personally like the look of the smoked one.

Hi all
I actually picked up my 86 last month but work and driving it have got in the way of posting here. It's a Blue Edition with the performance pack, and while I'm the second owner it was a little used demonstrator so feels like a new car!
Daily driver (but working from home for now so not that daily) and the plan is to keep it standard for now. I'm loving getting to know it and haven't had a hint of buyers remorse. It's the first car I've owned in a while that makes me grin just looking out of the window and knowing that it's mine.
I've always said it's better to spend money on making the driver quicker with track days/tuition than making the car quicker. I've never actually stuck to that motto, but I'm hoping this is the first time!

Welcome. Very nice! If it was available when I bought mine, I think I would have gone for the blue performance pack version.
Kept mine stock for 3 years and loved every minute of driving it road and track. Only now starting to add a few things. Definitely fulfils the look back test, always glance back after parking it, even now!
Also nice pies!

Look what arrived today! 17x9 Face 3 TE37 Saga. Thanks @Lucas@PartBox!
Weigh in : 7.7 kg
Can finally get the Flex A suspension and AP racing BBK on with these. Just need to get tyres and a few other bits.
Do 245/40 Michelin PS4 sound about right?
