shiftspark reacted to Mark@Abbey M/S in Oil pressure datalogging_ECUTEK oil pressure trips
The ECUTEK software allows you to feed a 0-5 v signal back into the ECU via rear lambda or CPC inputs, we use this too input oil pressure or fuel pressure then using the powerful RACEROM tools we configure maps to allow low oil pressure to trip a rev limiter if the parameters are below what we want.

ECUtek allows making custom tables to create this kind of features. You would need an analog pressure gauge to be wired in for something like this to be done.
It's a powerful bit of software, toying with the maps is good fun.

shiftspark got a reaction from Riceburner in Warranty work done, thanks
Hi Richard
A bit slow in letting you know but the new gear selector and adjustments have made a difference on gear selection and seem to be smoother than before.
As always great service from the team at Macclesfield.
Thanks.

shiftspark reacted to Riceburner in 2nd service
Just like to make it clear about price for the 20k service
The £299 inc vat is the menu price for the basic cost of the service
Brake fluid pollen filter and diff oil change are extra on top but I include that in the £299

I was unsure whether I liked the wheels or not but I must say it looks fab in these pics, infact the wheels look better without the centre caps

Had a wicked time in the rain I will admit. The thing is, a wet track like this gives you a great opportunity to play with the handling balance at lower speeds than you would in the dry. Obviously the wet weather is a great leveller as more powerful cars don't have the benefit they usually do. For the pro cars like Adrian and Stan's it is clear that they are only setup to run in the dry and without some decent wet tyres, there was little they could do apart from watch the street legal cars show the way.
To be fair to them it's a rare event indeed when it remains wet all day. Normally you'l get at least one dry of slightly damp run in and that is all that matters when it comes to sprinting.
The main issue on Sunday was that there was simply no consistency with regard to grip levels. Just as it looked like the rain was to abate a huge thunderstorm came in which made the track very green afterwards. But, it was hilarious fun and fairly early on I realised it was pointless looking for grip out there, far better just to try and get the car to go as quickly forwards as I could, even if it meant some sideways action which there was plenty of to be fair!

Then a faster drift onto the last corrner, Palmer which was pretty tricky all day!

Deposit now transferred to another GT86 coming in at the end of this week, so hopefully I may be able to collect it next week
13 plate
9k on the clock
White
Manual
sat nav
Not sure on interior yet, although I know it's all black as its am20
I haven't even seen a photo of it yet, but as they already hold my deposit due to last weeks fiasco, they moved it to this car and if it isn't as perfect as they described then I can get it refunded. Got a very good deal on the car too so I am really pleased, but I don't want to get too excited just yet in case anything goes wrong before collection like last week.
I will keep you all up to date and once I have the car I will also post up all the details of the issues I have had dealing with a couple of dealerships.
