Hey everyone,
Been wanting a BRZ for a quite a long time, finally pulled the trigger last week and got one in a got one in a gorgeous blue, and I think it’s safe to say, I’m absolutely loving it! Bought it stock and probably will stay stock-ish for the foreseeable future as living in London, I’m still recovering from that insurance payment I just made 🤬
Nevertheless, happy to be here, and looking forward to hopefully getting to know some of you lovely people

First fuel stop after a whole 20 seconds of driving after leaving the dealer with about 2 miles worth of fuel in the tank 🤣

Shhhhh don't go telling everyone......

On my drive to work without really trying I saw 67.4mpg. That's a mix of rush hour traffic, smart motorway limits for half a 20 mile journey. I reckon I could have easily got more than that. I noticed that with cruise control on the motorway in a 50mph smart motorway limit it actually cruised on electric which was quite impressive. I average around 40mpg in my GT86 on the same trip. I'm sure I could push it over 70mpg if I tried.

After much deliberation, listening to the kind words from friends, fellow 86 owners and other general car enthusiasts, coupled with an extremely generous offer from Carson Performance - I finally picked up a 3rd 1UZ engine today from a reliable source in an attempt to finally get this thing on the road once and for all. 
I'd like to thank everyone again that's helped me over the past few weeks. Your enthusiasm and motivation to want an end result to this nightmare for me has spurred me on and I don't think I would've made this positive step without your input.
Tom at Fensport has been an absolute trooper despite the car wanting to kill him twice now, I can't thank him enough for his endless patience and advice over the past couple of months. I'll be collecting the car from there in the next week or so and arranging a weekend with Simon at Carson Performance to do the switch.
