All sorted, I decided to go down the DAB Adapter route first, as my stock Sat/Nav and Bluetooth work fine, it was onlt the stock radio which was bugging me. Purchased a Next-Base DAB250 adapter £99. Wired it all in inc aerial, done my pre-set's. Perfect signal strength and a fraction of what I was going to pay👍😉

I was going to stay NA, and have been looking at the tuning developments package.  Seems like a popular choice with some good reviews.

I have had my TRD for a couple of months and have been looking around for some minor upgrades.
Lots of good information on this forum, so I thought I would sign up and say hello.

I got mine from a BMW dealership - they'd got it in as a trade in and had priced it too cheaply. They put it on Autotrader at 10pm and I called them they minute they opened the next day. I didn't even haggle, it really was too cheap and I didn't want to miss out. The dealer reckoned he'd never had so many calls about one car. 18 months on and it still looks a bargain against other BRZs.

It has to be remembered that no single insurance provider can guarantee to be the best price-wise for everyone, otherwise they'd insure the whole country and clearly no-one does that.
We are brokers with access to a number of insurers' products (including schemes that very few other brokers can access) but the quotes will ultimately always be reflective of the risk presented.
We won't be the cheapest for everyone but the facilities available to us, our service levels and our reputation mean that 4 in 10 who ask CK to quote end up purchasing the policy. 80% of our clients renew year after year. Those are both strong numbers in this highly competitive industry.
We gather data to help us understand where we sit in the market - car club members save 22% on average against their existing renewal when they switch to Chris Knott. It's working for many, though not for everyone. If we can't quote for you or we're not the cheapest it's not a personal affront.

Yes - what Vad said. Nothing to hit and they control the cars so no one is going at the same time so I wouldn't bother.

Couldn't agree any more, picked mine up last weekend after getting the stage 1 upgrade. What a difference it makes, like you said it's completely a new car, the difference is unreal. Going through the 3 sound stages is addictive, feeling the turbo just pull. Anyone looking for a tuner to look after your 86 mike and the guys at tuning developements is the place to go.

I wouldn't bother with insurance for this one. Moris will insure airfield day, but considering there is nothing to hit there (may be a cone), you will not have other cars to hit and excess I don't think its worth it.

I've done this training 3 or 4 times in the past and it is absolutely brilliant! This was a long time ago though and in an Elise; I didn't find it tough on tyres, but then again it was an Elise which is notoriously good on tyres! The description of the day above is pretty spot on but they will tailor the advice to suit your ability. I have pondered doing this again in the BRZ as you could have a lot of fun on the high speed corner.

Here is how I recall my day at Carlimits
We had 4 cars, I was 1st time, 3 other guys were at Carlimits couple times before (one guy with old Golf got exhaust nearly falling off mid afternoon, so for some time it was really just 3 of us). Instructor was Mark Robins
    - First we had couple goes at threshold braking;
    - Pretty much till lunch it was high speed bend. First Mark would show, then each of us would do it in turn with Mark switching between the cars or observing each from the outside (it was still raining). It was practicing controlling oversteer and understeer. Mark tried to teach me left foot braking to control understeer, but much success with slow learner like me
    - After lunch we split with 2 guys doing mainly high speed bend initially while Mark spent more time with me on doing doughnuts and bow ties (too much to process/ learn for me, but would be keen to try it again).
    - Then we swapped and I had couple more tried on high speed bend.
    - Then Mark put cones and made a mini handling circuit. We had 2 or 3 timed sessions each (fairly short) to wrap up the day.
This is what I think a "beginner" day looks like. Once you do 3+ days you qualify for "advanced" programme, Adi probably can tell more about it.
I found 4 cars day to be pretty good, and at 1/2 cost of 2 car day I think I would rather do 2 of these.
Who's up for a Carlimits day last week of August?

For anyone who doesn't use the FB group thought I'd share this picture of the new Rogue Motorsport Uel and El longtube manifolds they now offer.
I'm running the El one and the power and, especially torque gains, are really impressive.
Good to have even more good tuning options available!

Picture is without the overpipe which also forms part of the runners on these. Think this is the only longtube Uel that uses the overpipe as part of the runners for our cars.

    Hallo folks,
Finally after after reading through every bit of material I could find on the GT86, thought I'd join the team and say Hello!
Driving an imported modified Asphalt GT86 . Paying through the nose to have it insured via Admiral . But all the other insurance providers were quite snotty and couldn't wait to put the phone down when I mentioned I had an import!
But otherwise, a great journey so far. Driving it by day, reading about it by night.
Anyways, look forward to meeting and comparing to the UK spec.

@MartinT There have been some subtle changes over the years, both from the days of JP and also when we moved manufacture in house.

Yours however does now look very close, closer than normal. Can happily take a look at it for you if you'd like and see what is what.

    Thanks

I think the basic consensus was it doesn't make any sense to be that close now, its a fixed system at either end, it shouldnt be possible to move that much.

These manifolds also sit really close to the crankshaft pulley, which I'm not entirely comfortable with, but I think you have to be willing to accept some compromises when modifying cars.
