Sadly there isn't an 'unlike' button

You could have just left it as is. If I remember correctly the Renault 16 used to have a wheelbase shorter on one side than the other by design... ;-)

The only thing I'd add to that is to try to get shots that the amateurs can't. I assume you're granted wider access to the track than us spectators. So I'd focus on cornering shots etc at angles we just can't get. For me it's always low angles on bends that really stand out. Shots on straights are a bit 'meh'
I took a few shots for fun at Blyton, but the limiting factor (apart from having the wrong camera due to forgetting to charge batteries... Doh!) was that however much kit I'd got I wasn't going to get a very interesting action shot from the vantage point available to me... You should have an advantage there.
For what it's worth I think the prints are a good idea. Any old hack can take a shot that looks ok on Facebook. Takes skill to get a sharp action shot that really looks good blown up to an A4 print.
I also think that you're going to make more at track days than a series, unless someone is prepared to pay you for promo work. You need turnover of customers.

Nicebiscuit reacted to undercharged in Hi from faraway
Hi guys! I've bought my GT86 about a month ago.
I live in Central Asia, namely Kazakhstan, where they only used to import BRZ for a short period of time, but I've got a white 2012 Toyota delivered from a neighbouring state. So pretty rare beast here. It is a euro-spec 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters, beautiful frameless rear view mirror, heated leather and alcantara seats and a steering wheel on the left side, sorry about that. I still think that I would feel myself at home here because in the US they have Scion with Edison bulbs in headlights and everything in miles and gallons.
Do you guys all have a full-sized spare wheel in your bonnets? It sort of sticks out a bit.

That's so cool! So much more fun to make stuff than to buy it as well. Now all you need is someone to accurately map Blyton onto one of the decent racing sims...

Nicebiscuit reacted to Squadrone Rosso in GT86 Roadtrip
Starting today
South Wales to Folkestone to Bourge en Bresse to Barga in Tuscany.
Then back via Florence, Porta Fino, Turin, Dijon & Epernay.
Most of the trip will be in convoy with a new Cayman.
Can't wait, the car is ready too
Packed!
Cleaned & waxed to perfection
And I'll be bringing another car back with me....lol
Expect plenty of pics
Cheers,
Simon

Nicebiscuit got a reaction from LarmiqGt in Midlands breakfast meet on the 28th of May
He probably can. Brilliant little cars. Little gets close for the money. Different kettle of fish to the GT86 but still a proper enthusiasts car. FWD is a different kind of fun, but still fun as anyone who's ever driven a (real) Mini knows...
On stock rubber the ST is quicker than the Toyota. But that's because Ford fit tyres which grip. On decent tyres the Toyota should beat it.
And he does hit a raw nerve with the Mountune thing. Really irks me that Toyota import a car DESIGNED to be modded and then neglect to offer some sanctioned and warranted upgrades. If Ford can manage it, they can. Cosworth practically bent over backwards...

Neat. The only GT86 I've seen with its own breakfast bar.

210 would do me just fine... Really just trying to get rid of the torque hole (not calling it a 'dip', it's a hole... )

Now awaiting package number 2. This time containing Bilstein coilovers.
As per my normal approach of just doing something different to be awkward, going for B14s with the non adjustable damping. My logic is that they're biased to road use which is what I want, and retain decent travel and progressive spring rates. Run at maximum height they should give me a small drop, but enhanced on road manners (and 'better' but not optimal if I track it). And I don't particularly want to fiddle with it.
Probably just a more expensive equivalent of a Tein Street Advance but without being able to dial in the damping. But there you go... Someone has to be different

It's not that you're in a disabled bay, it's that you're not parked straight in it...
Good to mix it up a bit. I tend to find 'car people' are 'car people' and most think the 86 is a good thing. A lot of interest when I took mine to a Saab meet as well...

KPGC10 as it's known. It's the Japanese tradition of describing cars by their chassis number. Well used examples of this are, 'AE86', FD3', 'DC2' etc. This car is also known as the 'Hakosuka' which roughly translates to 'Box Skyline'. I prefer the KPGC110 myself, but it's a subject of much debate it seems.
