Squadrone Rosso reacted to Subota Boy in Seen at Geneva yesterday. Toyota C-HR
Had this 1.2 turbo manual for a drive-about yesterday. Felt very nippy for a 1.2 and roadholding and steering were surprisingly good. 10 secs to 60 but it seemed livelier (not run in properly either) Visibility from the back seats was also a lot better than expected. One of these may be on the shopping list to replace the Legacy!

Great view, love that Alfa - I used to be an Alfa (and Lancia) man myself, but had to settle for a
Guilia Super, for several years. Wish I had it now though

Squadrone Rosso reacted to lewisw in Clean cars thread
Literally the first thing I did when I got back from picking her up back in july, they'd attempted a wash for the showroom, but it's never as good as doing it yourself IMO.
The last time I got chance to spend a good few hours on her didn't turn out too bad.

Squadrone Rosso reacted to Lauren in Tyre pressures - fully laden?
It doesn't really matter, it's not like you can add a huge amount of weight. 35 psi will be fine.

For plugging:
From inside cabin hole where one's sitting right legs are (not far from clutch pedal on RHD?), roll up a bit carpet.
For increasing loudness:
From other side at engine compartment in that hole there is inserted small 7-10cm angled tube, that depending on filling, slightly affects engine noise (and some road noise) passed in, as it connects cabin & rest of "sound generator", that is connected to side of air intake after airfilter.
DIY guide for RHD.

Ladies and gentlemen, here it is!
It took many struggles to get here but as of yesterday I am now a one happy new owner of this beauty!
From just a day's worth of experience I can now honestly say how much of a different car this is! To say that I'm astounded would be an understatement of the year, I am looking forward to many many miles and smiles with this one!

@un1eash My was a 1.6 DIG-T 190bhp but after all the tweaks and mods it put out about 236 with EcuTek. I also had Tein Coilovers + Cusco bars and 4-pot fronts and 2-pot rear Akebono brakes from a 370z, its fair to say I never felt like I didn't have enough stopping power after that. I've recently put the stock brakes on it and sometimes I have doubts over it stopping at all!
@Squadrone Rosso Those are some beautiful shots!
Well ladies and gents I have seen my GT today and it is looking good with just around 36k on the clock the interior looked barely worn, no scratches on the front what so ever on that nice black paint, the boot and the rear bumper also both had a little sign of contact with firm surface (I'm suspecting reversing into an object) but I can not really complain on the overall state of the car. The papework has been put into motion and I shall be picking the car up next friday/saturday!
Anyone know of a potential previous member? Numberplate is FE13 XYM.

See post 24 in this thread for the Citizen GT86 watch. I think they are still available if you google around. It is a lovely thing IMHO.

Squadrone Rosso reacted to Kodename47 in Recall Notice: Power Steering Defect
Toyota has announced a safety recall for certain GT86 models in the UK to correct a potential issue affecting the wiring harness and the electronic control unit in the electric power steering system.
This action is part of a global recall that covers right-hand drive GT86 models manufactured between April 2012 and March 2015.
The number of UK-registered vehicles affected is 4,556. They are among a total of about 4,600 in Europe and 23,400 worldwide.
There are no reports of any accidents, injuries or fatalities linked to this issue.
The issue
The vehicles involved in the recall are fitted with an electric power steering system. Under certain conditions, the electric terminal of the wire harness connected to the steering system’s electronic control unit may slide (against non-conductive debris), due to vibration that occurs when driving, rubbing against the connector’s layer of tin-plating layer. This can result in debris, which may, over time, accumulate and become oxidised.
Due to an improper harness layout on right-hand drive models equipped with a driver’s knee airbag, the harness may interfere with the airbag’s lower panel cover. The driver’s knee may occasionally press against the airbag’s lower cover when getting into or out of the vehicle, causing the cover to press against the steering system’s wire harness. This contact may result in the connector terminal sliding onto the oxidised debris accumulated on electrical insulator, resulting in electrical contact failure. The steering system ECU will then illuminate the EPS warning light and the steering assistance will be disabled.
The recall
Registered vehicle keepers will be contacted by Toyota within the coming weeks by post or telephone and asked to make an appointment to bring their car to their nearest Toyota centre, in accordance with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) code of practice. For all vehicles involved in the recall, the electric power steering ECU and wire harness will be replaced. The work should take about one hour to complete.
If owners require additional information they can contact their local Toyota Centre or the recall helpline on 0800 1388744."
