Deacon 1357 Report post Posted July 8, 2016 First time I've felt well enough to clean my car for about 4 months. Grabbed a few slightly 'arty' shots:- Metal flakes in the paint reflecting the sky:- Front:- Rear showing the carbon weave on the spoiler:- 4 Gringosteve, Keethos, Kirsty80 and 1 other reacted to this
Tom B 44 Report post Posted July 8, 2016 Looking very glossy! What products have you used on it?

Washed with autoglym conditioning shampoo and then waxed with mcguires carnauba (deep crystal I think) wax. Basically what was lying around in the shed, lol! 1 Tom B reacted to this
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted July 15, 2016 The new tyres I've ordered are on back order and, as my titans went yesterday, I find myself on my winters. Not entirely what I'd anticipated mid July! 1 Andrew Smith reacted to this

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted July 16, 2016 I reckon the winter tyres will be good for drifting. Less feel, but they will overheat quicker, so you ought to be able to drift it pretty well. Not so hot if you're trying to go fast though and working them in temperatures they weren't designed for. Still might as well toast them.
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted July 16, 2016 Mine are all seasons in Europe. They'll be fine - a way better tyre than the primacies
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted July 18, 2016 Just to add to this the winter tyres performed way beyond expectations and handled everything that was thrown at them apart from the final gymkhana when they, in f1 speak, fell off a cliff and became the slippiest thing ever leading to me gaining the award for most sliddy. However, this was after a day of extreme use (speeds in excess of 120mph, emergency stops from 90mph, a handling circuit session, etc) and in a temperature of 28 degrees c. For normal road use and spirited driving there would be absolutely no issue running the Nokian WRA3's all year round and it really showed why they make such excellent winter tyres. 6 Mark-in-Stoke, TTR, Rich and 3 others reacted to this
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted July 22, 2016 Ordered some new tyres to try out a few weeks ago which arrived today and were fitted to a set of my wheels. Looking forward to seeing how these perform. 3 Lauren, Keethos and DanJ reacted to this

Tareim 343 Report post Posted July 22, 2016 a bit pricey then, wonder if they are worth the extra over v105s
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted July 23, 2016 v105s are street tyres though, these are track tyres
Tareim 343 Report post Posted July 23, 2016 They look more like a high performance road tyre than a track tyre to me, will be interested to hear how well they work
long-gone 152 Report post Posted July 23, 2016 Semi-slicks so not ideal for normal road use, especially in the wet.

I ran the federal 595 RSR's through last summer and they were fine so I'm sure these won't be a major problem either. Cup 1's I wouldn't have fancied so much on the road but cup 2's definitely have better road manners.

Are they really classed as semi-slick? to me anything that has multiple straight channels running the whole circumference of the tyre is not a semi slick sorry for clogging up your thread for this Jeff

On the straight channels logic these wouldn't have been semi slicks either...
