Cracking bit of kit.

I thought mine was mainstream too, but it wasn't on there. However there are some on their list that are inferior to mine.

I've had a few close calls recently too, dashcam is definitely going on my letter to Santa.

Get a decent one rather then a cheap one.

My dash cam paid for itself in 4 months when (in my previous car) a Lithuanian lorry hit me. Well worth having imho.

Close call = dash cam ordered from Amazon!
Was driving along, doing about 65, and a Mercedes taxi chose the last second to pull out at the jct for furzton lake, I slammed on the brakes, and had to skid my car to the left to avoid him. If I hadn't have turned as well as braked I would have t-boned him.
And after, rather than stop and say sorry he sped off! So popped my GT86 in sport mode, went all Jason borne on him and chased him around mk till he went onto the a5 and I got his license plate and taxi number. I've called the taxi firm and they got him to call me to apologise 👏👌

Try just using less of your right foot for the brake pedal - almost just your right big toe (but safely obviously).
Then there is enough foot to reach across to the accelerator.

Bucket seat made an absolutely ENORMOUS difference to how easy it was for me to heel and toe in the 86. The BRZ feels rather alien in comparison, I could do with being shorter

For the record, I found heel-toe easier on the RX8 than this car. I feel the OP's position, in that it seems you have to be applying some brake pedal travel before it becomes reasonable.
Nevertheless, I am inspired to work at it in my morning commute!

Yeah, in fairness i can reach it, but then not enough to actually compress the pedal. So even just the few MM extra this gives will help, plus i presume this is also slightly wider at the bottom than the stock pedal? this would also help
Cheers lauren Yeah i appreciate it all comes down to practice practice practice which i will keep doing on my daily commuting Cheers for the link!

You can certainly use the pedal extender if you are new to heel and toeing. However with practice and experience, I feel that the GT86 with the stock pedals is about the easiest car to heel and toe that there is. But, I have been doing it endlessly for over 15 years now.
The key is to do it absolutely all the time and learn how to do it even when you are not braking hard, that's where the finesse comes in, which is what it's all about really.
Here's an article I wrote about it, back in 2003:

It doesn't actually raise the pedal just brings it closer making it easier to roll your foot over. You can get pedal raisers but I've heard mixed reviews. Installation is pretty easy. They're about £40.

Cusco extended accelerator pedal

@Ch1L5t3R Like I said, using the quick detailer weekly is fine, but if your car gets REALLY dirty, i'd just go to Tesco or Asda where you can do it yourself with a pressure washer

I wouldn't - you'll only get people staring at her on the motorway and then putting creepy remarks on forums
To the OP - seems decent value for someone who wants to keep and mod. GLWTS.

Plus it may help me with the ladies, I can say I'm technically Tom Cruise from Top Gun

I personally really like it, i tend to like cars that are a bit out there. Obviously i'd want to drive it before making any conclusions to if it works, but i personally really like the looks both inside and out. If toyota have managed to make a fun to drive hybrid car that can still be around the sub 30k market then i for one will jump on board.
As others have said it must be really weird to shift in a manual but not need a clutch... would take a while to get used to i guess
Also loving that Fighter Jet style start button xD i'd feel like a 9 year old everytime i start it up haha!

if you look for a head unit that is 'toyota universal double din' that will fill the void completely without needing a fascia plate

Hey all!
So just another post now I've finally picked up my gt86. I'll do another post a week or so in with my thoughts etc, but for now will leave you with some nice shots I took of it today after driving around for hours!
