Just be as gentle as you can when pulling the bumper off, and hope you're lucky. The tab furthest from the wheel arch seems to be the one that goes because there's very little to it. Mine all looked undamaged visually, but still sagged when re-fitted. I've seen people fit the metal reinforcements and it make next to no difference.
See how it goes, you'll know as soon as you clip it back in if it's right or not and it shouldn't damage the paint if you then have to put it on and off a few times as you tweak.
I'd send it to a skilled bodyshop who understand how to manipulate these things, and have them remove it and do whatever is required to make it fit perfectly.

I’ve had the OEM flaps fitted for over 3 years. I like them on my black car. Quite subtle.

It's not the pedal, it's in the engine bay. Just needs re greasing properly. It's behind the engine near the top, just open the bonnet and get someone to press the clutch pedal, it'll be the only bit that moves...

Looks clean, nice interior trim. Cheap tyres a bit of an alarm bell; I’d be looking very closely at the service history.

PoorBoys Black Hole is a glaze, so if you just apply it and no sealant / wax on top, it probably won't past a wash or two. It's good stuff to use before waxing / sealing.
Autoglym UHD has great gloss on dark colours and lasts around 3 months in my experience. I've also got Soft99 Fusso, which has great longevity (6-12 mths) and looks good, but not quite as good as UHD. If you don't want to wax regularly worth considering Fusso or a ceramic coat.
Forensic Detailing on YouTube for good product tests. If you want to properly geek out on this stuff Pro Detailer Magazine is worth a look.

jw191 got a reaction from Stutopia in Rear Caliper Options
I've read on quite a few posts that the rear's don't need to be upgraded, just the fronts. I struggle to get my head around that. My car just reached 40k and all of my pads and discs needed replacing. Both the front and rear discs were at minimum thickness (-2mm from new).

If you only upgrade the fronts, I assume you will replace the rear discs and pads several times for each set of fronts. Do you live with that because they don't overheat on a track day, and that’s the main concern?

I'm not sure how they don't overheat... The rear pads have a smaller surface area, on (practically) the same diameter disc. On my car both fronts and rears eroded the discs at a similar rate. The rear pads were even more dead than the fronts as well. That suggests to me they may even get hotter than the fronts…

Anyway, jealous of the OP. 👍 I toyed with the idea of an upgrade but couldn’t quite justify the cost. Especially I’d really want both ends done, for cosmetics if nothing else. And I’d need wheels. And Coilovers. Enjoy your BBK!!

I did a significant overhaul of the stereo as well, but kept the stock HU.

I can only compare it to the stock setup which was awful, not an aftermarket HU, but I'm very happy with how it sounds even with the stock HU. An aftermarket HU would almost certainly sound better but I'm unsure by how much and I prefer a stock look on the dash. I've since looked at upgrading to the Kenwood HU's that don't require a bezel, but thats another £1400 installed (with DSP re-tune) so don't think I'll bother. I'm an apple user and the fact that carplay only works with Apple Maps (not google maps) was also a turn off. If I could rewind, the main change I'd make is adding more sound proofing to the back of the door cards as I do now have some vibrations at some frequencies and high volumes (they weren't there when I finished the build). Maybe a summer job this year.

Re detailing, you would want to spend £200-£250 on equipment, pads and polishes. More of you wanted to do multiple stages. It took me 20hrs to do prep, 2- stage correction and protection. It wasn’t all plain sailing. A year on, and even with very careful washing, I feel it needs another skim, but I can’t find the motivation to do it again. £400 is a good deal given effort involved, especially if it’s a multi-stage correction.

Hey all, I thought some of you might be interested in my audio install, so here goes. There is a full build log on the other forum (sorry, I found that one first 😊) so I’ll keep this one to the highlights.

I wanted a relatively stealthy install, keeping the stock HU. Also, I didn't want to do anything irreversible. No splicing into wires, drilling into panels, cutting polystyrene in boot or boot floor carpet etc. I accepted that running new cables was going to require a few irreversible mods.

There are two main plug and play options.
    1. The focal 165TOY door woofer and tweeter; discarded as I want more volume and bass.
    2. OEM+ imported from overseas. Probably about two grand once imported and installed. I heard one and it sounded pretty good, but I reckon for the money I can do better if I put the hours in.

I fancied a custom install and a new wood-work project, so set about fabricating.

    The kit:
    Hertz HDP5 Amp (4x100W and 1x 550W)
    Hertz H8 DSP
Hertz MPK163.3 3-Way speakers; woofers for the doors, mid and tweeter in the dash
    Hertz HX300D subwoofer
And a massive list of other stuff to make it happen. This was an international effort with some stuff coming from as far as Australia (dash speaker mounts)

The whole process took a few months, working at the weekends. The car is my daily, and was used throughout, limiting progress speed. I went to the professionals for the DSP, to get it setup optimally.

The entire custom wiring loom is wrapped in Tessa Tape for a professional looking finish. It also means that if I come to sell or replace the car it can be easily removed and installed in another vehicle. The most difficult bit of the job is neatly running wires through the dash and into the doors.

It delivers the right compromise of quality and power for me. At maximum volume, the rear-view mirror points to the roof, which is fun.

All in, slightly over £3k and probably 100Hrs effort; would have been quicker if I didn’t have to leave the car drivable at the end of each weekend. If you’re interested in more of the process, search my user name on the other forum.

Didn't expect to see a gaming thread, but why not
Rig was good when I built it 4 years ago, but starting to struggle with newer titles.

I don't play much PvP, because I'm not good enough.
In the last 12 months mainly been playing Elite Dangerous, TC R6 Siege, TC Ghost Recon Wildlands, The Division, PAYDAY 2. Long term, PD2 is definitely the one I've sunk the most time into (880Hrs ). Currently looking through the Steam Summer Sale - Always dangerous!!
