I don't have a sweet racing setup, but I do have:

34" Dell ultrawide, an enormous case and a triple length radiator and cooling loop, and a Samsung 840 pro 512gb ssd... shame about the 5-year-old GPU that's been overclocked all its life and has major artifacting when cold...

Here is my current rig which is now 4 years old (only just realised when looking for pictures). It can still play most games just about, however its struggling now so I'm just waiting for Nvidia to release the new pascal chipset before doing a complete upgrade. So tempted to just buy a new graphic card as a temporary fix while I wait.

Processor: Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4GHZ

Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V Pro Gen 3

Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler.

Video Card(s): Nvidia Asus GTX580 (Takes up 3 PC case slots)

Hard Disk(s): SSD - Samsung Evo 840 512gb - Western Digital Black 2TB

Optical Drive: Some crappy old dvd drive

Sound Card: onboard

Headset: Logitech G430

Power Supply: Cooler Master 850W Silent Pro

Case: Cooler Master HAF X

Monitor: Samsung 23" LED HD Monitor (1920x1080)

Software:Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Originally built in 2009, it's had 3 new broom handles and 4 heads but still the same PC!

Current spec as it mostly does photo/video editing:

Intel Xeon x5650 Hex core overclocked to 4.0ghz (air)

Asus P6T s1366 motherboard

24gb Tri Channel Crucial Ram

Twin ATI 7850 Crossfire (Needs upgrading asap, 980ti on the christmas list)

500gb + 256gb SSD's

Twin Dell 27" 1440p monitors and third Dell 22" 1050p

File Server / spare:

Dual core Intel with 64gb ssd OS drive, 2x 6TB WD Reds for storage, 2x 3TB Seagate drives for backups, 1x 1TB SSD for scratch disk. All passive/silent because it's 30cm away from where I sleep.

No photos as it's a sleep-work-live space all in a 10sqm area. Working all hours I can to afford somewhere bigger now.

I think this is really a "gaming setup" topic rather than "office". I have an office laptop and 21" screen (provided by my company), but my own PC equipment consists of a Dell Server (can't remember the model but got it cheap at the end of 2015, bought a 120GB SSD and internal DVD drive to compliment the 500GB drive that came with it and installed Windows 10 to use as my "home" PC). I also have an Acer Aspire P3 which is basically an i5 PC shoved into a tablet (which was kind of an impulse buy as I rarely use it). I don't really play games on my PCs.

For gaming I have a PS4 and a Wii U. The Wii U hasn't probably been turned on for 2 months but I tend to play an hour or so on the PS4 each day.

Still up to the task and can handle new games still really  and Willi, only reason i put office is because some people like me have their gaming setup on same place as they would to do any type of work. I use my PC to do some programming if its necessary.

hahahaha  Excellent reference.

I'm a web developer who now works from home so my gaming PC is also my work PC for the most part.

My computer is in need of an upgrade IMO, most of the case and what in it apart from the SSD has been there for about 5 years now! It was awesome at the time... I can't run the latest games maxed out so don't bother anymore. Just as well that I only really care for CS:GO and Rocket League at the moment. Squad is pretty decent but I've become so accustomed to having games maxed out and running well it annoys me a little.

That being said, I have stayed on top of the peripheral game so they are very good :)

Processor: Intel Core i5 3570k

Motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus V Gene

CPU Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev2

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 24Gb Dual Channel

Video Card(s): MSI GTX670 Power Edition OC

Hard Disk(s): SSD - Samsung 840 Evo 1Tb

Power Supply: Corsair HX1000

Case: Antec 1200

Software:Windows 10 64-bit

Monitors: A really old 22" LG one at the side of a cheap, crappy 27" 1080p Hanns G one, got another 24" one in the other room that I'm borrowing that I need to hook up as I could do with a 3rd for my work. A triple monitor 24"/27" 144hz setup is something I'm going to look in to eventually

Headset: HyperX Cloud II

Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry MX red switches

Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma on a QcK Heavy pad

This is the latest picture (I think) of my setup, so a few things are missing, but the main layout is still the same. I've worked in the Youtube scene for a while (as a secondary job) so having the extra monitors for editing multiple videos etc. is brilliant. I'm also a fairly avid gamer, hence the ROG Swift (1440p 144Hz monitor in the middle).

As a compiled list of parts, from left to right:

Console setup: Xbox One Day One Edition, Xbox 360 (never used), 27" ASUS monitor.

PC Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.7GHz, GTX 970 SLI, 32GB RAM @ 2600MHz, 500GB SSD, 4TB storage drive, Corsair watercooling, Windows 10.

Monitors: 24" LG 144Hz 1080p, 27" ROG Swift 1440P 144Hz, 24" BenQ XL2411T 144Hz

Peripherals: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard, Logitech G502 mouse, Blue Snowball microphone, Fanatec CSR Elite wheel and pedals

Audio: Sennheiser HD650 headphones (music), AKG K702 headphones (gaming), Astro A40 with Mixamp (console gaming) JDS Objective 2 + ODAC (for general PC use).

Out of picture, on the other wall, is a 55" LG 4K Smart TV.

I think that is just about everything. Please excuse cable management. This has been improved since.

My Gaming PC has a 4970K clocked to 4GHz, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, a 250GB SSD and a 3TB storage drive, and an Asus GTX760 (I mainly play Starcraft and lower-res games).

We have 2 PS4's so me and Cathy can play Destiny and The Division together, I've included some pics.

It's too dark but I can also see right through the hallway to my '86 from the desk so I am master of all I survey. ^^

This is a cool thread. Gone are my days of gaming for hours (have a house to work on and a 5 month old son to look after) but my last setup was rather simple compared to these setups, but I enjoyed it:

Case: Gigabyte - cant remember the model

Board: gigabyte with up rated heatsink fans. Was running 380Mhz (1520Mhz) FSB

CPU: Intel Quad Core Q6600 with a thermaltake frio cooler running at 3.8Ghz (48 hour stable running prime 95)

RAM: 4GB corsair, with heatsink and additional cooling fans.

GPU: Originally a GT8800 then changed to Nvidia GTX 870 (2GB) overclocked a bit too.

Monitors: 27" IPS Not sure on brand but I think it was NEC

Sound-Card: Asus Xonar 7.1

Headphones: Astro Gaming A40

I also had a laser gaming mouse, again gigabyte I think.

No pics of my setup....mainly because it looks like a bomb site....that plus I'm running a 8-9 year old PC which I think I need to upgrade:

Display: Samsung 8 Series Plasma PS51D8000 3D TV

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - 2.4GHz overclocked to 3.2GHz

Heatsink: Scythe Ninja-PLUS Rev B

Mobo: ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP AiLifestyle Series P35

GPX: NVidia MSI GTX 560 Ti

Case: Coolermaster COSMOS RC-1000

PSU: Coolermaster 1000W RealPower Modular

HDD: Samsung 500GB 840 SSD + various other hard drives

All this on a big glass dining table in a smallish bedroom (that's right, a big dining table that I brought when I was at uni and thought I'd use it as a normal table :D ) and an office chair that I acquired from my old work placement company.....actually carried it home from work which meant sitting on it while I was on the train and then carrying it through town.....even had the ticket lady ask me what was wrong with their seats :D

I definitely had a good Q6600. It ran on very low voltage from the factory so was able to up it to 1.6V and overclock the crap out of it.

When I got the GXT 870 on later games like far cry 3 and Crysis 3 I was seeing +30% frame rate in some instances running 3.8ghz vs 2.4ghz

the q6600 was an awesome beast when new, it loved being overclocked

I'm currently in the processor of looking for a new mobo+processor as mine is currently just maxing out cpu usage for no reason lately so think it's due for replacement

A lot of nice systems here and awesome desk setup :) and i was looking at the Q6600 back in the day but to me they're still awesome CPU to use on a quad core budget.

My PC is currently being used by the GF most at the moment playing Rise of the tomb raider and my PC didn't run it that smoothly on maxed settings, i guess it be because of the bottleneck from my CPU but i may consider upgrading my motherboard to support SLI and maybe go SLI GTX970 if i get into PC gaming a lot more and need the power lol.

Accidentally ordered a Gigabyte GTX970 on ebay last week when a 20% off code was floating around and should be here soon... only downside is I only have 1mm (yes, 1mm) of clearance between the case fan and official graphics card measurement so it might not even fit. It's getting depressing sorting photos on a messy desk so I have a feeling I'll be giving it a blitz tonight. Decided to upgrade now as I ordered a rift which may or may not get delivered soon. Not quite the 980ti I wanted but a step up from the crossfired 7850's which no longer liked crossfire.

Nothing fitted in my case, I had to file everything down :lol:wasn't enough clearance under the radiator for another fan so had to get a shallow fan then there wasn't enough clearance next to it because of harddrives so had to file it.

Had to bend the graphics card bracket so I could seat it in to the board because there wasn't enough room to lever it in. Nightmare!

my case is enormous so no fitment issues :D Coolermaster HAF 932

Had the HAF X before my current one, it wasn't fun to carry to tournaments etc... If anyone wants a free case by the way let me know I need rid of it lol.

The Q6600 has done me well for this long but it seems to be lagging big time more recently....especially while Chrome is open....and ram....rams an issue while I'm running certain softwares....to be fair it needs a big clean out but I'm also mega low on space so need to shift stuff about and get a fresh install done but just too busy and lazy at the moment.

What's annoying is that my work laptop is extremely quick, boot up time is seconds but then get home and it takes a minute or two to boot mine up (then again the work laptop is worth a couple of K).

Lol i just remember 2 days ago my comp kept crashing when the GF was playing tomb raider..so i came home and took panels off to give it a blast of air duster..didn't realised i knocked the Fractal design fan controller cable from the PCB on front panel. Turned comp on and she played it for hour and i only realised the fans wasn't working..so i turned it off and took side panel off and holy crap it was HOT. Luckily nothing melted and i re-connected the fan controller cable and it all started working and comp runs a lot smoother now.

I could imagine carrying a HAF X around @rob275 lol,would it fit in the boot of a 86 though? :D The fractal design is a big heavy lump itself as well. Also how comfy are the DXRacer chairs? I see so many twitch gamers promoting their chairs but is it actually comfortable and worth the price tag?

@Steeps GTX970 is a great card but how do you not have enough clearance if you managed to fit 2 cards in??

@Keethos If you're not planning on gaming then i would probably look at just getting the new skylake i3+8gb DDR4 ram and a SSD or something lol.

The clearance issue is due to the length of the card, my 7850's are only 23cm long but the 970 according to reviews is 312mm... my case has enough clearance for 312.5mm. I used to carry a Silverstone tj09 to LAN sessions.

Back in the old P4 days (single core!) I used to build shuttle systems with custom heatpipe coolers on graphics cards (limited to single slot) way before they became the norm. Overclocked desktop CPU's and full size graphics cards back then was rare in something the size of a shoebox.
