Never had a problem like that, but then I don't allow myself to be bullied over the phone regardless if it's insurance, utilities, Sky etc.
Unless it's the missus. Then I cave straight away.

I'm counting about 7 or 8 of us, i've got a car to valet in the morning so may be a little late but if someone wants to arrange a meeting location (Kev's Kitchen) then go for it and i'll see if i can get there beforehand.

rob275 reacted to Falix in Flasher Relay (RHD)
A pretty easy job, i was just frustrated with all the guides being LHD!
So, first, you need:
1x Phillips head Screwdriver
1x medium Flathead Screwdriver
1x tiny flathead screwdriver
A light
First remove the side pannel, drivers side, by inserting a flathead, push up to pop the clip.
Carefully pull the panel off by hand note where all the clips are.
Undo the lower Phillips screw.
Now carefully pull off the panel with your dimmer switch in, lots of retaining clips, see pictures, use two hands.
Now, using the light you should be able to see the relay on the right hand side of the column, it's Grey and has FLASHER on it! (Little box top Left of 3rd pic)
You can try to get the relay out of the white retaining clip, using the tiny flat head, the barb is rear facing, OR just pull the whole thing down, relay and clip.
Once the relay is free, unclip the loom, white tab up top on the relay.
Clip in your new relay.
Clip relay back into holder/holder back into car.
Re install plastics carefully! Don't forget the screw!
Reference LHD video:
4:30 onwards, you don't need all the lower panel down!

rob275 got a reaction from Rich in A question to you all regarding project threads
Hi All,
There's a fair few of you that have project threads running and on looking at them it can be a bit of a pain to keep track of peoples progress due to the comments & questions on them (which are very welcome by the way)
My question to those who have project threads running and those that don't currently is would a blog feature be more beneficial?
It would mean that you would have the capacity to set up a blog and post updates and within those updates the comments will be held. In essence it would act like a continuous feed of lots of separate threads.. I'm sure you all know how a blog works
The downsides, projects would have to be populated again... Discuss and fill in poll.

rob275 got a reaction from Mike in A question to you all regarding project threads
I think the best option if we were to go ahead with it would be to lock every project thread and give people the option of linking to their previous build thread or copying bits over as and when. I admit it's a bit of a PITA
Correct, project progress would be much more visible. Means less scrolling around for people and it'd mean that you could respond to older updates far more easily without someone thinking what the hell is he on about.

Update 2
I've not done much driving since, or nothing significant to warrant an update but the weather forecast was so good this weekend just gone that I felt the need to give the car a much needed wash and took a drive out to portsdown hill, squeezing in a few B roads of course as the A3 is dull as hell . Portsdown hill was busy given the weather and the fact it was mothers day contributing. I was deprived of awesome photography opportunity but made do with the space I had.
Perhaps if the Mrs got her arse out of bed earlier the day would have worked out better on that front and the sun would have been facing the right way!!
Safe to say that the brakes are great, they saved my bacon on the way down after hitting standstill traffic from xxx mph the car came to a perfect halt in what seemed like mere seconds Clearly a bit of warmer weather and dry tarmac is what was required to make them shine! Despite me not really being able to afford it, having driven the hybrid for a couple of weeks and going back to this yesterday for a drive it's got me all excited and i'm becoming increasingly vulnerable to the IABTSS (I Accidentally Booked TSS). Though I will only be going
But over the course of the day braking was great, a lot more progressive than my previous brakes which is nicer for road driving but they still stop when putting your foot down that little bit harder.
Think i'll also be taking the car out for a trip to wales at some point in the coming months, I also wouldn't mind getting more pictures of the car without the stripe, it's growing on me! I think I prefer it?
Obligatory edit below to show off the brakes Though the spokes get in the way, when I get the rays on they will show better.

You can place your tow hook at the back if you so wish, but you're responsible for the damage to your car as its far easier for them to tow you out forwards rather than backwards. As for the headlight glass, the GT86 doesn't have headlight glass. They are plastic

rob275 got a reaction from Mark-in-Stoke in Whining engine noise. Increases with RPM
I'm probably not the best gauge as I have a supercharger but I think I know what noise it is and I have it too I think. Though the car hasn't broken yet so it can't be urgent.

Yep still on, they wouldn't let us book a table so i suggest we get there early and eat at 12 as opposed to kicking tyres then strolling in later when it's busy.

Around £1500 by the time it landed in the UK, the focals are plug and play though if you want an easy option. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Focal-IS165TOY-Component-Speakers-Fortuner/dp/B010TR7NBM
They are two ways and fit directly. I've fitted them in to Sarahs GT86 with Keith.
No, the OEM+ kit is tuned to reduce trim vibrations it's not required.

rob275 got a reaction from SimonG68 in How much would you pay?
It doesn't help of course that it seems to not be a private sale, they are generally more anyway. You can't compare a trade sale to private sales as trade sales only compare to other trade sales. Seeing GT86's for these price makes me wonder why I didn't just buy a 2nd one
