GREMLIN reacted to rob275 in tyres
Yoko's but after your phone call with me the other day you seemed to be a bit disappointed by the wear on them. I reckon it was due to your tracking being out.
I've got the Dunlop Sportmaxx RT on at the mo and they are sticky, can't really comment on wear on them thus far. Sportmaxx RT 2's are out now, could give them ago or the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3's
No point going budget with tyres really, they could ultimately save your life.

The answer is, not very good compared to the V105's:

Any reason why you want to fit eco tyres?

You can check out speed ratings through the Yoko website.

GREMLIN reacted to Special K in Kent Chinwag - 04 April 2015
Good to meet you guys yesterday and rubberneck the metal.... (and in Rob's case the plastic..).
Gremlin's TRD looks pretty neat and I love his numberplate..
Lots of witty banter, some good ideas for future meets and a yellow peril to chase home on the M25... life doesn't get any better than that..

GREMLIN reacted to GT86Jay in Toni's new Giallo meet. Saturday 21st March 2pm Nr St Albans
No, this is the other side.
Looking around its a result of lowering the car and adding power over time, due to the geometry of the driveshaft / diff in relation to the inner CV joint.
Seems common in the US. Starts with a clicking from the rear then turns into a conplete break.
Ive got it booked in at toyota on thursday, ill make another thread with all the findings.
If it turns out to just be a lose bolt / trim. I'll still make it to the meet.

GREMLIN reacted to Fensport in Blitz suction pipe
As a result of this thread and many other enquiries over the last few days, we are about to place an air freight order with Blitz Japan for the 55703 Suction Kits.
I fully expect them to be with us in around a fortnight's time.

I'm not sure if the Advance Power induction owners have seen this video showing an independent test of the kit:

GREMLIN reacted to JamesP1991 in Blitz suction pipe
I have one fitted to the stock airbox with Blitz panel filter inside. I have not plugged the hole for the noise generator and kept it attached.
Basically it is just the intake pipework which either connects to the aftermarket Blitz intake or airbox if you keep it stock.
To be honest as Rob said, you are better off buying that with just a drop in panel filter like the HKS one and you will end up getting similar gains that to a traditional aftermarket full intake.

GREMLIN reacted to Ztox in Blitz suction pipe
I can't deny that for NA engines a panel filter is usually better. However, I'm a bit of a bling man and I love the look of the blitz filter and secondly, I will need open induction in the long run for what I want. A closed airbox muffles sound
Apologies for the minor thread hijack
