Rich 378 Report post Posted January 19, 2016 Went the long way home, via the triangle. It's a bit greasy in the primacies at the moment, what with snow on the verges and a ton of grit dropped everywhere, but still fun. Quiet too mostly; A523 was a dead loss, but just one wagon on the cat and nothing on the A54! Bonus interest from wheel spinning trying to do a hill start on Hibel Road in macc. 1 Lauren reacted to this

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 Mind you won't quite look that sharp as I'd be going for 17x7.5 not the 18x8s in the above shot... They don't do those in 17x8 sadly... So like this... 2 MangoNo5 and Lauren reacted to this

will300 812 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 Personally I'd get the PF01's out of those two.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 Yeah I know what you mean - nice and light as well - but there's something very appealingly retro about those other ones... Shades of eighties Porsche Carrera on Fuchs...
GT86-Ian 351 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 I think these look great on a red car. 4 Mark-in-Stoke, MangoNo5, Zmithy and 1 other reacted to this

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 57getters? Yes - I love them too, but not wanting anything that big. 17x8 or 18x8 is the biggest I'm going
Keethos 842 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 Stop encouraging people to get the 57getters Ian! It's bad enough that Adam as them before I can get mine 2 GT86-Ian and adam reacted to this
Keethos 842 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 Both the enkei wheels look good Joe, I originally wanted something similar to the ones above (the black with polished lip): But it seems that these Rota's weren't available in the UK without a special order something so never really bothered hunting them down (did find them in the UK but not the size I wanted I think, hence the special order which required x number of orders before they would consider bringing them into the UK or something). 2 Nicebiscuit and MangoNo5 reacted to this
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 As an idea your second choice should look pretty similar to these when fitted:- 1 Nicebiscuit reacted to this

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 Nice though they are I think that anything much wider than stock on an n/a car will be too much. Of course with a supercharger bolted on that's a whole different story. But that's for later. A lot later...
GT86-Ian 351 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 You can get them in 18 x 7.5 with a 40 offset. http://www.ravspec.com/shop/rays-gramslight-57-getter

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted January 25, 2016 What I always say to my 10 year old, is 'if you still want it in a week, then I'll let you spend your pocket money...' And they are the best looking of the modern looking wheels in my opinion. They look stock. In a good way.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 Found a pic of the Enkei SR6s in 17x7.5. I like... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk A set of these, black badges, Toms rear lights and possibly a subtle rear spoiler and I'd have it how I want it. (Once I'd also got the coilovers, exhaust and remap of course...)
GT86-Ian 351 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 I can see a silver ring no detail to the wheel at all, why black wheels don't do it for me.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 I can see a silver ring no detail to the wheel at all, why black wheels don't do it for me. You see the wheel in real life though - part of the problem is just photography - though I agree to some extent which is why black wheels need a polished rim. All black is too much. You can get these with anthracite or bronze centres too. Bronze wouldn't suit a red car, but jury still out on the anthracite.
