Thanks to Mas (hashiriya) from HKS who nominated me to take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, I've seen a couple of vids of this Ice Bucket malarkey, mainly failed attempts though  so didn't really know what it was all about.  I had a quick Google, saw what this was really all about and set of to take on the challenge but also to donate to an ALS charity group, here's my vid:
 

 
I've donated to the alsa.org charity group and I've also nominated Rob (rob275) along with 2 other friends so I expect your video to be on here Rob within 24 hours!  I'm sure Mas will be on at some point and he can post up his vid of his challenge.

I charged £140 that price is purely because i'm building a portfolio as I want to start detailing for some extra moolah. It's not particularly easy for people to trust you with their car if you have no proof of your work. The GT86 is less time consuming than this as it's paint is like putty, where as the BMW is like polishing a rock.

What an interesting read, I shall not comment as my 700+ engine was turbo charged but running water injection with no meths. Different opinions from owner/driver and tuner are common, so you guys all have valid points. IMHO none of which are wrong.

Brake pads cheap - fair enough. but i'd rather not put my car through a wall due to not slowing down on the end of a long straight.

Thought I would bore you all with the 86's progress on my week heading north, did about 300 miles today and staying in Kendal tonight. 60% of the driving was in very heavy rain and lots of standing water and I must say the Nankang NS 2R's were brilliant in the wet, at all speeds there was never a clenching moment. The dry performance is not far off the 888's which I have done lots of driving on, but the wet is much better.

Ride on the coilovers has been comfortable and not a problem so far, Fort William tomorrow so will get some car pictures.

Well first test of feeling for the suspension today, I drove the 86 on some small b roads to where I keep my horse. The road is bumpy and twisty with some undulations etc.. the ride is not hard or crashy, best description would be firm but not bouncy. Alignment is being done early this week and the acid test will be in 7 days when we are driving to and touring Scotland, should be varying roads and conditions for both coilover and tyre reviews.

Job done, fitted complete with the lower control arms and adjustable toe rods. Will be on the alignment rig early next week, be good to hear any set up numbers from you guys.
