Well, that's me fucked 

Thought I’d post up my fastest lap in the Yaris, seems to go pretty similarly to Graeme’s (fast one, not the spin!!) which is unsurprising considering I was only .02 ahead in the end!!
Fortunately it was enough to beat Paul in the other GRMN there, sorry for the language at the end but was rather pleased (knocked a second off my previous fastest lap)!
The beeps in it are very annoying too but that’s the dashcam thinking I’ve had an accident

Blimey, haven't updated this for a while!
As some of you know, I finally had enough with being messed around and seeing little to no progress with the guy that's been doing the V8 swap since April 2016. I took the car from him a couple of weeks ago and I'm having a more trusted place called Carson Performance complete whatever is left to do.
At first glance, there wasn't a huge amount of work that needed doing. Just small, fiddly bits like fuel lines, oil system for the supercharger etc. However, on closer inspection, we've unfortunately had to backtrack and redo some of the substandard work from the previous garage in order to make sure things are done properly and to a standard both Carson and I are happy with. 
This means that we've spent 2 weeks essentially redoing work where corners have been cut. Not ideal, but at least we have peace of mind that everything is being checked to ensure we dont run into any problems once it is finally up and running...hopefully!
Timescales now? Probably another 4-6weeks I reckon, but know knows what else we'll come across that will stop us from progressing further. 
There's light at the end of the tunnel and I've begun to find some love for it again. The guys at Carson also have an 86 so there's a personal passion for the car and their enthusiasm shines through the fantastic work they do. I'm kept up to date almost daily, even when it's bad news so that we can agree on a solution. 
Will try and keep this updated, hopefully with some good news soon.

I would say don't be put off by a wet day. It can and often happens. You'll learn more in the wet, use less brakes, less tyres and less fuel and you will develop your car control more. See it as a bonus! 
When you're ready, the best tracks are, Cadwell, Donington and Oulton.
I will definitely be at Oulton or Donny in May as I have to take the MiL out for some rides. Will post up when I know. 

I’ve never had a GoPro suction mount fail, but used to use one mounted to the rear screen and tethered with daisy chained zip ties to the rear light legs. Was a Hero 4 and the wide view would cover everything fine, bright light could throw it off though...
For the none car side, my bro has the 5, said it’s awesome for everything you need but if you are going over 5m deep in water without a case (camera rated to 10m without the case apparently) the pressure means the fire button is pressed constantly, he ended up with 3000+ pics of nothing on a recent scuba trip...

How did you manage to do that?

First impressions were brilliant, such a fun little car, couldn’t get the smile off my face! Was a pre production car being used by Lotus for development (benefits of working on the project) so I’m hoping the production one hasn’t lost anything
