CHOSENMAN007 reacted to Mark@Abbey M/S in HKS GTIII-RS Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ Turbo kit
    Well we have been told it would be released early 2018 and here it is;
The GT-RS will work real well with the FA20 motor as long as we can control the torque on a stock motor. I think HKS are pushing there luck with running 40 kg/m torque where we run only around 30kg/m  max torque on the Harrop SC kit installs.
Intercooler set up is very much like our Turbo kit we have produced in very small numbers and now with this kit released we may retire our kit TBH.
Will have a think about ordering a kit but I think We will miss the awesome torque the Harrop produces looks like the HKS kit doesn't pull until 3500rpm which I feel will make our light cars a little aggressive on the torque curve.
Going to look to work a price out from drive in drive out kit , the HKS stock motor plots had injectors fitted so we hope to be able to tame the tune down to run stock injectors/fuel pump.
Should be a awesome piece off equipment thou anything that comes from HKS will be a excellent fit and will look and last for a long time.

Looks awesome. Straight shot from fmic to throttle body."straight shot" charge pipe design to minimize boost lag. Less pipping great design. 👌

The same rods , we have loads of HKS kit running without any issues and Harrop are running a HKS kit on the E85 powered kit with over 450PS at the hub without any issues. Jordans issue was just a 1 off.

Fair enough, that didn't show up on the page I was looking at. That's not a bad price then.

Nope it's including VAT for a catback system. It is a single outlet system though.

I would second this. Coming from a history of modifying Honda's, Japanese and even American made exhausts beat the stuff from the UK every single time. Sound, build quality, you name it.

@jevvy There was a guy selling 3 alloys on ebay but not a full set. Just looked up again and there is a single wheel available atm. I will keep looking and hope a deal will pop up. Ultraliggeras are good wheels just not to my taste.
@CHOSENMAN007 Exactly! If I had that money I'd be buying Rays Gram Lights

I'm sure im not the only one who has been tempted to PM Rob several times since this add come up  If the price was dropped to nearer £2K id have it. Still gotta factor in that you need a Ecutek license, fitting (if not DIYing) and mapping which really adds up the cost (not miles away from a new kit)

Lauren is being soft with him though...

Nothing is stopping someone PM'ing me with an offer. I've been offered £2k already, personally I feel it's worth a little more. I put £2600 knowing full well i wouldn't get £2600. If someone PM'd me a price in between these figures i'd be obliged to accept it. Basically i'd be happy with near enough £2300
@Lauren I promise i'll get them up tonight

Putting up for sale my Sprintex 210+ Intercooled Supercharger (Will be putting pictures up tonight @Lauren )
Looking for £2600, it's been on my car for about 2.5 years and hasn't played up once. The only reason i'm selling it is I could do with the money right now and i'm looking at going for a more suitable track solution. This kit can get a bit toasty on a warm day but none the less has always performed well on track also.
It will come with everything that comes off the car which should in theory mean it's good to be fitted  Currently has a 70mm Raceseng pulley fitted but I will supply the standard pulley also.
With the 70mm pulley it's producing 260HP at the Hubs. Currently fitted still but will remove after a 50% deposit.

I've been in a friend's car with the Litchfield handling kit. The ride was awful, the ARB's were too stiff. I wouldn't recommend it. My friend changed his suspension shortly after for a Tein Advance setup with EDFC Active. After having a ride out in it, I couldn't understand what Litchfield was thinking, it seemed to just ruin it. No offence intended, if you're happy with it, that's cool.
Ligtchfield told him that their kit was designed for 18" wheels not the lighter 17" wheels he had fitted. Yeah, right!

He got the Koni's off me, they are far more comfortable for road use, just not so set up for track. I had them paired up with TEIN springs.

The HBS on the flex A's is not a true hydraulic bump stop as found on teins rally stuff for instance. It's basically a spring which softens off the bottoming out but doesn't stop it. I had the flex A's on for a year - they won't allow you to 'just go right over'. The dampers on the 86 are very short (especially the rear) which is what causes the main issue.

If you just want for road use you can go for Tein Street Advance as they are 5kg front and back spring rate but are also rebuildable and can be revalved.
I have EDFC Active with the GPS unit Street Advance . It has functionality of the Pro but only front to back not on all four corners. I have a Brocken back so I need a good ride plus I use the car on track so l need to be able to adjust it to suit.
i would recommend downloading the EDFC manual and read through so you understand how it works and how to set it up to get the most out of it.
You will also need geometry setting up as coilovers will lower the car as there range can be 20 to 30mm plus so food for thought and what ever you go for will work.
If you want to go for a spin I am Cheltenham

6/6kg is what TEIN ship Flex A's with. I had a custom spring rate and increased the damping rate by 20% on the rears. Happy to talk you through it. You can have my settings, you just need to work out how to programme it, or I can do it for you, but I rarely attend meets in the south of course.
