GT86-Ian reacted to billdingo in The Exhaust Thread
I've just taken an Ark Grip off, will be popping it up for sale next couple of days.
Sounded great, but was just too loud for me with a TD UEL manifold.

Will see if I can make this.

So after a few weeks with the stock exhaust and the JDL catted manifold on I've decided it's a bit too quiet so a new exhaust has been ordered and should be here in the next day or two.
I've also had my winter wheels refurbished as 1. I didn't like the chrome and 2. As I'd expected the chrome didn't like the salt on the roads. I haven't actually picked them up yet and so obviously they're not on the car yet but here's a teaser:-
Just a touch different to the chrome 😁

GT86-Ian reacted to MrWoohoo in GT86 2016 Blanco #64
After nearly a week of ownership I'd thought it's about time I said hello.
I picked this 2016 Blanco #64 up last Wednesday from Toyota, ex demonstrator with 9460 miles on the clock. Since then I have driven about 600 miles driving locally and also had the chance to take it for a long trip up to Warrington Sunday. I have really enjoyed driving this car so far (except on the M25 as the road surface is shocking, sounds as if someone is continually blowing the top of a glass bottle with all the noise inside ) and I know I will enjoy it even more when the weathers better, had a quick look around on this site last Friday and I like what I see.
I have a little bit of knowledge of these cars but I hope to learn more out about these cars from you all experienced owners out there, a few pics I took off the dealer website, thanks for looking and now time to properly browse the site....

Hi All,
A few of my mates have BRZs so I thought I would jump on the band wagon. Had the car nearly a month and already in love!
Will aim to get to as many socials as possible and maybe even a few track sessions once I have got rid of the tragic Primacy HPs!

So yeah brakes held up decently well today, was also very impressed by the PS4 tyres on the rear.
Here's a video of the only no traffic lap I got in my 2 sessions. Shame I squandered it with shit driving

Always like to give credit where it is due, had my 4.67 FD put into the Strawberry at the weekend, great job and it is almost silent job to hear any difference from stock. Seemed a good time to get the positive shift bush and MTech springs fitted too, feel is so much better and absolute mod IMO. Oils and other bits sorted, thanks to the guys for fitting me in on a weekend and doing a great job. And of course we get to have a little social with our friends north of the border

A couple of little things..
I got my Joying Android head unit fitted after a bit of aggro. I bought the connects2 dash kit for the GT86 and the brackets and the Joying did not want to play ball. There were some metal tabs on the brackets that where preventing them from sitting flush against the unit. A bit of angle grinding later, and it was in. Unfortunately, the bits of trim that comes in the connects2 kit also don't fit (GG really), they're ever so slightly too large so I currently have a bit of gap in the dash. I can live with it though, for now at least.
I also took long awaited receipt of my Anarchy Motive Titan gear knob. I didn't realise quite how big a difference a heavier knob would make, but shift feel is massively improved. When you consider cost and difference made, it's my favourite change so far.
I went to a cars and coffee meet last month and it was a nice sunny day and I'd cleaned my wheels for the meet so I grabbed a few better pics of the wheels on the way home.
I spent this weekend just gone in Surrey and managed to get booked in to Abbey while I was there. I was visiting for a full geo check and also to add to the soundtrack
I did get the geo done when I got the suspension fitted but I kept on thinking that something wasn't right so I wanted to get it on the Hunter to check everything. It was out of shape by quite some way to my surprise, camber all over the place and quite an amount of toe at the rears. This has been sorted now and the car felt rather different on the drive home.
So yea, pops and bangs. I have always wanted a setup that bangs etc and I'm not sure why I didn't ask for something to be done when I originally got the car mapped but oh well, with the recent discussions I decided I'd get something sorted.
I asked Mark to go nuts with it as it's a copy of the map I use day-to-day so I can easily swap back and forth between the two and go nuts he did Now I've run it a bit I have a couple of things I might get tweaked next time I pop down as it can be a little harsh but it certainly makes some noise.
It's pretty ridiculous tbf but that's where having changeable maps comes in handy.
I got the gf to do a couple of (admittedly crap) videos and the car was being a little camera shy I think but it gives you an idea anyway. I also found a video that I did ages ago and never shared so here's that too.

GT86-Ian reacted to long-gone in It's been fun. Sayonara!
Thoroughly enjoyed my time in the GT86, one of the best 'drivers' cars I've driven. I'll miss it, but 4 years is way longer than I've kept a car before so it has to go.
Ginger Jap's been sold, new guy's collecting Wednesday.
Sayonara!
