GT86 2016 Blanco #64

Recommended Posts

After nearly a week of ownership I'd thought it's about time I said hello.

I picked this 2016 Blanco #64 up last Wednesday from Toyota, ex demonstrator with 9460 miles on the clock. Since then I have driven about 600 miles driving locally and also had the chance to take it for a long trip up to Warrington Sunday. I have really enjoyed driving this car so far (except on the M25 as the road surface is shocking, sounds as if someone is continually blowing the top of a glass bottle with all the noise inside ) and I know I will enjoy it even more when the weathers better, had a quick look around on this site last Friday and I like what I see. B)

I have a little bit of knowledge of these cars but I hope to learn more out about these cars from you all experienced owners out there, a few pics I took off the dealer website, thanks for looking and now time to properly browse the site....:)

Thanks everyone for the welcome. :)

@knightryder Yes I got it from there, was looking at white aero's and then they got the black aero back in but in the end decided I liked the Blanco one better. Nice to know some other owners are not too far away. :)

@KevinA Maybe, was it on the M6? I was trying to look out for other owners but didn't see any on the way up I must have missed you, but I did see a white one driving through Warrington when I was walking into town, nearly being taken out by a range rover missing his exit on the M40 kinda kept my eyes focused on the road ahead.

Congrats and welcome to the club!  Any plans for the car at all?  Mods? Trackdays? Car Shows?

Thanks, I said to myself I wouldn't mod this car but less than 2 weeks later I have ordered my first few mods, thanks gt86.org.uk users and their build threads.

Nothing too drastic planned just some cosmetic pieces to start with and then a catback exhaust is definitely a must, maybe some other wheels at some point but I really do like these stock ones in design and colour. Will attend some meets or shows in the future, would be rude not too. ^_^

Just nice to drive a car that isn't scared to go over speed humps!

Nice - a special edition worthy of the name. I wouldn't do much cosmetically if I were you as these Look fantastic out of the box.

I said I wouldn't mod mine either but I have coilovers, wheels, manifold and remap and all were well worth the cash - the car drives better than stock...

But you have nice wheels already so that's covered...

Welcome aboard, very nice. Check out the events section and social meets section, things are getting busier as we head into spring. :)

Thank you, will do although work commitments at the moment prevent me from doing so but yeah would like to attend something this year. :)

Thanks, as I've said want to keep it looking like a blanco but with some mods that I feel would enhance the car and not ruin it. :)

Welcome, Mr Woohoo, from another Sussex member.

Very nice Blanco.

Did you buy from Mr Doug Saunders at Yeomans?

Hey there nice to know more members are nearby :D I did get it from Yeomans but not from Doug, Ben Brouner is the sales person I saw. :)

Had a few things happen while having short ownership it, first day I picked it up I checked it over and the centre console 12v socket wasn't working, so went back that day and they checked the fuse only to see it was ok so had it booked it in to be looked at. Managed to figure out what they couldn't when they checked it was the plug had come off.

I also had the oil cap come off the other night on my short commute to work and made a bit of a mess in the right hand side of the bay, had them check the cap wasn't faulty and they were very apologetic, they said that when the full service was done they must have inadvertently not tightened the cap up. :(

They cleaned the bay up today for me so all good. :)
