Buying the TD NA kit including the remap will yield most of what power can be had without going turbo. I'd recommend it.

I have the TD full super-resonated exhaust and UEL manifold.  I also live just outside Basingstoke.  PM me if you would like to pop over and I'll take you for a drive so that you can hear it first hand.  Much better than a YouTube video.

You will be fine with a DA if you are careful.

I got great results with a DAS-6 machine and meguires two step polish with a  couple of hex logic pads I got as part of a package on cleanyourcar.co.uk
No more swirls and a nice deep shine. Nice and easy to do just takes a fair bit of time.

Left about 2ish I think. Think we just got unlucky as we were say on the M6 for ages due to a truck full of Cows that fell over and we had to wait for them to clear up the mess.

    Looks good.

I would take a look at some Ebaich springs. They give a modest drop and retain the oem comfort. Love mine. Drives nice on road and track and I have done things like the north coast 500 route round Scotland on some rough roads and found no issues  I fitted them on my drive in 2 hours so a pro will have no problems in this time frame.

Just got back from warrington with the other half. I got the NA package and she got a day out shopping in warrington and a nice lunch. Stayed in the ibis which was nice too and only £48 with all you can eat breakfast

Re detailing, you would want to spend £200-£250 on equipment, pads and polishes. More of you wanted to do multiple stages. It took me 20hrs to do prep, 2- stage correction and protection. It wasn’t all plain sailing. A year on, and even with very careful washing, I feel it needs another skim, but I can’t find the motivation to do it again. £400 is a good deal given effort involved, especially if it’s a multi-stage correction.

TEIN Flex Z is a good choice, Flex A is better though for the hyrdopneumatic bumpstops. I've been in a lot of GT's. I've yet to find one with lowering springs that feels right, though I haven't tried them all. The trouble is if you put lowering springs on it doesn't match the damping and the stock dampers are not that great. Spring rates on the TEINS are 6/6kg or you can go 5/6kg which is my spring rate.
TD NA package is a no brainer and they have a discount on ex display stock at the moment. It's a bit of a bargain.

The paint is really soft so take care if machine polishing yourself. You could always start with claying . Or just pay your mate. Detailers really know what they are doing, and give great advice on keeping them nice. I also have red, they do go faster . If you do go to warrington with the other half there are a few spa hotels around there. Have have just googled as having mine done middle of next month .

Currently talking to HZ Performance which seem to think that they might have the same bodykit in stock, just waiting for confirmation and detailed photos.

The HT Autos has simillar front lip but the sides and rear are just simple plastic extension pieces that bolt under the car. I like the other kit because it slight goes over the cars body making it almost a bodykit not just little extension pieces.

    Anyone up for group buy?

I would be very happy to be part of the committee (but I would not be able to become a formal director, even for a non-profit organisation).

I am also very happy to take responsibility for organising:

    A) several "official " club events (south and anywhere within 2 hrs of London) like Tunerfest South, Castle Combe action days, etc - we should take a vote though to keep decent attendance

may be couple "official " track days or training days (CATD was very good, can try to organise again). We can do say 1 at Brands or Silverstone and 1 at Donny to start with.

    C) Lee is much better organising social events, but I can do better and get few organised down South/ South East.

Whilst our car doesn't tell you which tyre it is, each wheel has its own control module that is paired to the valve sensor, so it is correct that you would need to put the sensors back in the same place or re-code the system.
As for cold days, that's not something you should ever need to worry about.  A drop of 5psi would always trigger the light, but if you set your tyre pressures to 35psi on a day when the air temperature is 30 degrees, it would just trigger the TPMS light when the temperature dips below freezing if the system uses a 10% threshold.  If it's 20%, as Toyota suggest on their blog article, it would need to be -30 degrees to trigger.
(A word of warning - ignore Toyota's bad advice to press the reset button after re-inflating your tyres - the TPMS light automatically goes out after ~30 seconds and all you'll do by pressing the button is cause the system to not work properly)

I’d happily fork out for a 2nd set of sensors if there was a way I could update the ECU settings at home. I vaguely recall that Carista or Ecutek had a solution in beta. This is going to become a bigger issue as the number of post-14 '86s increase and the desire to fit aftermarket wheels to our cars continues.

I had a low pressure warning the other day when I had left my car outside for the evening (very rare). On looking round none of them looked down so I just ignored it until they warmed up.  Low and behold a few miles in it disappeared. Would be good if it told you which corner it was!

The TMPS sensors are attached to the valve and are £150 each to replace, also need linking up to ecu. Managed to snap one .

Yep I know about the irony it is a tad annoying. The reality is they like to spanner their ancient AE86's, which I get, but not recognising the GT is a real shame and not right
I know about Japan, I went to 86 Style for 8-6 day at Fuji Speedway in 2014! A couple of thousand GT86's and about 500 AE86's!
But I'm definitely up for having something inclusive for our cars, just because the AE lot aren't interested doesn't mean we should be exluded. It's more a question of where really.
I reckon it will be worth contacting Toyota UK see if they are interested.

I've just seen on speedhunters blog that I've missed international 86 Day this year.
So far as I can see only driftworks hold a gathering to celebrate this event in the UK.
Perhaps we should hold a meet up next year to mark the occasion. Whether it be the 8/6/19 or the American version 6/8/19.
    Opinions?
