Adrian Flux's breakdown cover is woeful, so I hope you never need it or just pray it isn't as shoddy as it was for me.

Igi got a reaction from Lauren in £5 off a fill up at Shell
@Lauren, I've had a similar issue and just rung them up through their Customer Service (phone number on the back of the card, use saynoto870.com to save on expensive phonecalls) got everything sorted within an instant and they even transferred my points from two cards onto one with no problem!
Good shout on the offer, I shall dig up that useless app and save some money!

Igi got a reaction from MangoNo5 in What would you add to the car?
+1 on the head unit - a much more noticable mod on the daily IMO.
You can -> Check this out <- makes a good dashcam for our small cars. I'm waiting to get one of these installed in mine.

Sorry for the news bud, it must be hard to be forced into decisions you don't want to make!
A nice Lexus should nurse you back to health no problem!

Igi reacted to CTolly in Not quite an owner yet
Thanks for the welcome. Think I'm leaning towards buying used and I've just found the Fensport website, oh dear... and I haven't even got one yet.

Igi got a reaction from BristolLee in Wheel Sealant
On budget - I'd second Poorboys Wheel Sealant - smells heavenly and for the price and ease of application it's very effective, had them on my previous wheels and the only downside was that it didn't last nowhere near long enough.
Now I've got C5 applied and sometimes in between washes topped with C2v3 and I'm always amazed at how easily I can clean the wheels!

Igi got a reaction from GT86Bob in Car History
I was an inch away from buying a convertible from Ireland (California imported, mint condition) as my first car ever, the suspension problems put me off however and I went with a :
• 2003 Suzuki Swift 1.3 N/A
• 2001 Mini Cooper 1.6 N/A
• 2011 Nissan Juke 1.6 Turbo

Igi got a reaction from Keethos in Too smokey? Or normal?
Ok it does sound a little more logical when you put it this way, having had a BMW Mini Cooper before - any smoke from the exhaust or anywhere from the car in that matter just sounds like money to be spent to me 😂
-
Igi reacted to Keethos in Too smokey? Or normal?
Considering it's a high strung engine, it's guna run a lil hotter than most other cars, plus the bigger exhaust pipes mean more of it will pour out. So it's shouldn't really be, how much smoke your car gives off compared to other cars, it'll have to be compared to other sports cars with big exhausts etc.

Igi reacted to lewisw in Insurance for a 20 year old :(
Give Admiral/Elephant a bit of a haggle and try to put parents etc on as drivers, they also do a 10 month policy which grants you a years no claims and helps chip the price down. They quoted me £1,800 for my renewal originally and within 3 calls, adding parents as drivers, and taking the 10 month policy it ended up coming down to £570, I'm only 23 with 2 years no claims and only got the car in July.

Just want to clarify, trackday cover is charged at £45 per day and the excess is double your road excess, but otherwise correct, think the guys name is Adam and he's on the facebook group. Been great with them so far.

Igi reacted to S18 RSG in Casual Breakfast/Coffee Meet, Brecon Beacons
Bit of a last minute one this, but figured it doesn't hurt to throw some information up.
Myself and @Igi are planning on doing a little Brecon Beacons drive this Sunday, 13th November.
No details have been discussed yet, but my initial thoughts would be meeting sometime fairly early in the morning (perhaps 10:30-11am), maybe go and get a light breakfast somewhere, then head out for a sprited drive through the black mountains, stopping off to regroup, take pictures and chat every once in a while.
If anyone is free, and fancies it, let me know and we can iron out the details over the next few days

Igi got a reaction from Minion in Insurance for a 20 year old :(
I was in the same position when I got my GT a couple of weeks ago, after numerous searches I found Hastings and they offered me £1050, now being 22 with 3yr NCD and having held my license for 3 years I thought it wasn't too bad but Dan from Adrian Flux has bettered the quote whilst adding all extras as well (Hastings had no windscreen cover, legal protection was extra and no green card) so I gotta give them my praise!
However I spoke to a couple of guys from Greenlight at Trax and over the phone and they really are car enthusiasts, they provide a more personal experience (one of the agents owns a GT86) and the only reason I didn't meet their requirements was that it was my first time in a RWD car, but I know who I'm going with next year as non performance modifications (wheels, body kits) don't affect the premium plus they offer track day cover too at no extra cost.
Before you ask, no this post has not been sponsored by greenlight insurance... 😂

UPDATE FINALLY
Hey guys, sorry ive been lazy with the forum updates, here's an update for you.
So, lets wind it back a few months.
Build udate that was due to be come 'very soon';
I brought some STATÜS Racing full Carbon Ultrasuede Ring-GT Bucket seats, and they are fantastic. They're abit snug for frame, could've done with the Ring GT-X size.
The reason for me not posting the update was that I was supposed to receive a carbon centre console at the same time, along with some smoked valenti revos. However this didnt happen as my supplier had let me down and I couldnt be arsed to do a build update just for the seats.
This lead to me near enough not using the forums for a long time and just using the facebook group as its alot easier when access to a laptop / pc is limited.
Nothing catastrophic happened to the car, that isnt why I wasnt posting haha! ( until 2 weeks ago).
As above, two weeks ago i developed a horrible noise under my bonnet, i hadn't a clue what it was, but it didnt sound happy.
Turns out it was just an injector seal.
I had the noise diagnosed at fensport. Whilst i was there I had a good two hour chat with Adrian, and we've decided to go a little mad as the car is with them anyway.
Step One-
Get my Litchfield kit off ( and sell it to Tashan)
Step Two-
Fit AVO turbo stage 4+ ( with some.new bits on it that could be a first for the kit, I don't know much about it but its gonna be special)
Step Three-
If the price is right, fully forge internals
Step Four-
Upgrade Fuel System
Step Five-
Add Water/Meth injection
Step Six-
See Dyno Graph of over 450bhp
Sorry for the lack of updates, Ive just been lazy😂
Forgot to add, I hit 160 on a privately owned site, resulting in my seibon wing generating too much downforce for my booting. I know have to 4" long cracks going towards the back of my bootlid and curling over the edge. I'm currently trying to decide which carbon bootlid to buy as a replacement 😂

It's not like I know much about the car but I have seen it recently at Trax and it seemed all fine to me!
It could be something to do with carbon build up...

From just a day's worth of experience I can now honestly say how much of a different car this is! To say that I'm astounded would be an understatement of the year, I am looking forward to many many miles and smiles with this one!
