Gringosteve got a reaction from GT86Bob in So what's this for?
Routing cables, there aren't many locations for clean installs of stuff in the 86, I'm planning something for this spot

Race cars do it, do you want your car to sound like a GT3 car or a Prius?

Bought myself a cheapie, smarter daily watch but I've actually found myself really liking it:-
It's a Seiko 5 Military.

Another thought - I have my phone mount (used for nav etc) on top of the dashboard just above the vent there. There's a spot where it doesn't actually block any vision just your view of the pillar.
I had it mounted by the vent before and it annoyed because I either lost use of the vent or it was blasting hot/cold air at my phone.

Forgot to add, definitely go with a DSP, it's great to have all the timings and levels set.

Yes way more grip. Only sliding when I want to. More composed in the wet, more steering weight/feedback.

Be careful what you do with those gadgets, they leave multiple error codes in the ECUs.

Gringosteve reacted to Keethos in GT86 Snow driving - hints please!
Try driving in a higher gear than normal, so when setting off, try it in 2nd rather than 1st etc. Less likely to light the wheels up and instead, just creep away.

Gringosteve reacted to Lauren in Robs S/C GT86 Project
In terms of ARB's, I've only experienced Mike B's Litchfield handling kit, which seems to be the best way to ruin your ride and your handling. He had lowered Eibach springs (terrible) and bigger ARB's front and rear. It was just terrible. I'm really not convinced about putting bigger ARB's, I think it may well compromise traction and it will increase your spring rate of course under lateral G. Have you got offset bushes on the rear for camber adjustment? I have these and have the right amount of camber (1.75 degrees) for what I want. I agree that it's far easier to get more accurate adjustment with adjustable lower arms, but I haven't got round to that yet.

Gringosteve reacted to Tweedbean in Sold Crawford Billet Power Blocks
For sale are the Crawford Billet Power Blocks removed from my GT86, although these also fit the BRZ. CNC machined from Billet 6061 aluminum, the Crawford BPB's sandwich between the cylinder heads and the intake manifold to create longer intake runners. The lengthened intake runners enhance the volumetric efficiency of the engine which translates into an increase of 19 Horsepower, 15 Pound Feet of Torque, in addition to narrowing up the torque dip by 300RPM on a totally stock BRZ. These currently retail for £358 from Fensport although they dont have any in stock. I am looking for £285 delivered in the UK. Items located in CV7. http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_108/Category_1/4959 Untitled by James Baker, on Flickr This is the kit, I have all the bolts etc: -

Shit on his name, he doesn't deserve any work period. The guy shouldn't be responsible for a buisness.

Thanks for the advice bud, experts wouldn't be hard to come across at all. Abbey, Fensport, Tuning Developments, CGR - pretty much any trader on this forum could carry out the work
I don't know why but I'm still hoping this knob will do the right thing and just get my very minimalist requirements sorted. Until them, I am hounding the guy so that he see's me as a pain in his arse and gets things sorted ASAP
Unfortunately, he's decided that today he is too busy to do any work and has informed me he's been collecting a car from up North...great use of your time when you go away on the 12th December. I've said that unless he meets my demands for completing whatever work is left and paying me the compensation I've requested, then I'll be picking the car up on the 12th regardless and I'll begin court proceedings ASAP
Had enough of trying to be friendly and sort this amicably. It's clear the bastard doesn't give a shit

Gringosteve reacted to smudge in Smudge's V8 update
I'm almost certain that he hit a wall when he first started looking at the wiring months ago, but instead of admitting it doing anything about it, he buried his head in other projects to keep him busy and have an excuse (even though it's not) to not work on mine
I'm still waiting for him to accept my requests as he's "running some numbers to send to me this weekend". When I asked him what numbers these were exactly, I of course got no answer.
He goes on holiday in a few weeks, if he thinks he can drag this out until then, he'll have a nasty shock when he gets home

Big watch fan, got a small collection with a pretty wide range of styles and costs. Loved seeing what everyone else is wearing, really broad range of tastes and styles.
I know it's in front of the wrong car but this is my absolute favourite from my very small collection.
My work watch, would have gone for the G-Shock but needed something super cheap with an alarm for working nights.
The daily wearer, scuffed and scratched but has never let me down.
