Minion reacted to GT86-Ian in GT86 AVO Turbo
Jake I called Fensport today for some more service details as I've lost the paperwork, Turbo was fitted 8/11/13 @ about 11,000 Miles, cars now done 34,720
Coilovers are Tein Flex Z's as Pauls said above.
The car has also had interim oil changes when the turbo was fitted & 01/9/14,16/4/15 using Millers oil at Fensport.
Only issues with the car are tiny cosmetic ones, the dash panels might need to be re done & I'm having issues with the DAB radio reception but I've been told this might be down to the p3 cars guage.
Hope this helps Ian
PS the car has some APR carbon bits under the bonnet I've not mentioned.

Minion reacted to Paul in GT86 AVO Turbo
Turbo's been fitted for at least 2 years.
Coilovers are Tein Flex Z's I believe.
Having seen it multiple times and been a passenger in it around Bedford I can vouch for it's looks and performance.

Ians car is immaculate, a fine example and we'll cared for. A shame to see him moving on, but hope you will still come to some events Ian.

I can't remember exactly what mine is and I can't find the paperwork at the moment, my car also isn't kept at home but it looks like this...
The gap between the holes is smaller that on the holder.

Minion reacted to TTR in Javelin trackday - Bedford GT - Friday 2nd December
Never done a trackday as such, driven a Formula Renault around Silverstone. Been Karting for a few years on and off, that's about it. I wouldn't consider myself a *complete* newbie. But I wouldn't consider myself at all experienced
Do love Verstappen's style. Reminds me a lot of Hamilton when he first broke onto the F1 scene!

I did notice that and I think he's awesome as well just from what he's achieved at such a young age!
Have you got much experience on the track or a newbie as well?

You need to be doing something really special like a 720 yoloflip to hit anything other than a car at bedford.
I bet now that i've said that it happens to me

Right I'll see who books it and could well be my first track day if there is plenty of run off!

Minion reacted to rob275 in Javelin trackday - Bedford GT - Friday 2nd December
It's neither here nor there really, it's likely to be a bit damper/slipperier but bedford has plenty of runoff and it's perfect for a beginner.

Minion reacted to Leosille in RYANS HKS SC 86
So next on my list was to get some coilovers, after being told the Teins weren't available for when I needed, I researched the American forums and found ST Suspension. ST XTA coilover is what I went for, manufactured directly at KW, they have adjustable damping with top mounts, also a nice drop in height was a must!
The coilovers and alignment were carried out at Fensport, a great service and highly recommended. I asked for a fast road/ track setup and the car feels unbelievable, after letting a number of people with performance cars drive my car, they have commented on how great my 86 is and how much enjoyement you can have in it.
The 86 at the ring... it was quite daunting going on to the track, once the barriers had gone up there was no going back! The respect you have to have for the track is unreal, it was highly challenging but after a few laps then having Bennett coach me it became very rewarding. The car performed faultlessly, I completed 9 laps in total over the long weekend, but by the end to say I was hooked is an understatement! I really hope to complete some driver training and UK trackdays before getting back out there next year, 3/4 trips next year is the aim.
Next on the list for me is upgraded brake pads and lines, the oem discs and pads worked well but if I want to push on some better pads should help me out. I also need to have the car raised slightly as my front arch liners took a beating, I believe it was the bottom of Foxhole and the Carousel which took these out! Seeing so many stripped out cars with cages and upgraded seats really got me thinking how far to go with the car, next year the stripping process may begin.
