Lauren 2259 Report post Posted May 22, 2017 57 is probably your car number on the day, it will definitely be more than 57Db!
八六車 24 Report post Posted May 22, 2017 That's what I was thinking but I know I was car no 1 based on the registration sticker. I agree though 57 seems far to low!
surrey86 352 Report post Posted May 22, 2017 Doh, would have been handy to know how many db it was!
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted May 23, 2017 8 hours ago, maurice said: Doh, would have been handy to know how many db it was! I've had loads of noise checks as I'm at circuits a fair amount for the sprints. I just always ask what the reading was. Last one was Croft at 92Db so more like the 90Db I get everywhere else. Croft always seem to over-read.
Mike 458 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 I got 92 at Croft as well, but then I angled my car away from the wall the muppet was testing us next to because that'll just increase the noise level
Mike@TD.co.uk 467 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 We have a car in at the moment which we have done some noise testing with. This Package (UEL Manifold) Stock Second CAT Our Resonated CAT Back Exhaust @4500rpm static test is 89db. Gives a lovely bark when pushing on yet subtle when crusing. When we have an EL setup in we will do the same test. Thanks Mike
Mike 458 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Is it possible to do one at 5500rpm? That's what the guy wanted at Croft
Steeps 294 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 My last sound test they wanted 5200rpm (3/4 max before red), achieved a high score of 109dba with a different manufacturer's EL long tube manifold
surrey86 352 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Yep 5000 or 5500 seems often requested.
mattt 29 Report post Posted June 18, 2017 Very tempted by this! How long does it take to fit and tune? I ask because I'm in Devon - is it something that could be done on a Saturday for example?
KevinA 695 Report post Posted June 18, 2017 Something to be careful of if you have this package, it will not use stupid amounts of fuel, your driving experience will be majorly improved and other drivers look on as they see you smiling to yourself 2 TTR and Mark-in-Stoke reacted to this

alucardo 55 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 Car passed Donington driveby thats resonated cat back and EL and one deleted cat. Car performed lovely and the additional torque and ability to shift and not have a dead zone was great. Thumbs up 1 Mike@TD.co.uk reacted to this
Mike@TD.co.uk 467 Report post Posted July 6, 2017 Thanks Michael. Did they give you a sound level from the static test at all? 15 hours ago, alucardo said: Car passed Donington driveby thats resonated cat back and EL and one deleted cat. alucardo 55 Report post Posted July 6, 2017 Drive by only at Donnie these days. You also only get 1 warning before your booted off track. 98db driveby and the readers are over the track on the main straight and 10-20 meters away the rest of the track. I did get some compliments on the exhaust sound aswell so overall a positive experience. 1 Mike@TD.co.uk reacted to this

Steeps 294 Report post Posted September 11, 2017 Can't argue with that, good power gains and still quiet enough for most track days 1 Mike@TD.co.uk reacted to this
