I'm selling my Tuning developments resonated cat back exhaust as I've now sold my car, if you're thinking of getting rid of your stock exhaust I'd definitely recommend one of these, totally transform the sound of your 86 without pissing of your neighbours 😀 I put it on my car just after Christmas and it's done 2000 miles at most as you can tell by the photos. I'm located in North Birmingham and can deliver if within a 20 mile radius ( as I'm such a nice bloke ) I paid £535 but I'm looking for around £475 Collection only from North Birmingham

  3. Hello all, We've decided to put together a package for those wanting to release more power from their GT86 or BRZ, without going for forced induction The kit contains the following: 'Before' Dyno Run Tuning Developments Manifold (EL or UEL) Tuning Developments Overpipe Gaskets Heat Wrap For 'Downpipe' Section K&N 'Drop In' Replacement Panel Filter Installation ECUTeK License In House Remap On The Dyno £1495.00 inc VAT Website link here This package has been proven to remove the torque dip which plagues these cars, along with making more peak power. The whole curve is stronger, making the driving experience much more enjoyable! The ECUTeK Remap features the excellent RaceROM which gives you 4 switchable maps via the cruise control stalk which can be adjusted whilst on the fly. For those without cruise control we can set this up via the heated rear window button. Net gains are upto 30lb.ft through the mid range and upto 25bhp peak power (based against a 100% factory car). You do not have to have an aftermarket exhaust, this is completely optional. The second CAT can also stay in place if needed. This gives an end result of a car that when cruising, sounds very close to OE sound levels, and has a pleasant bark to it when pressing on through the gears. The gains in torque make it much nicer to drive and give a far more linear delivery. The top dyno graph has the factory second CAT and factory exhaust. The lower dyno graph has a high flow second CAT and an aftermarket exhaust. Above - TD EL Manifold, Full Exhaust & In House ECUTeK Tune (Didn't photo the overlay from before sorry!) Above - Exhaust & ECUTeK Tune - Versus TD UEL Manifold & In House ECUTeK Tune. Above - Exhaust & Stock Tune - Versus TD EL Manifold & In house ECUTeK Tune. Above - Full Exhaust & Tomei Manifold & ECUTeK Tune - Versus Full Exhaust & TD EL Manifold & In House ECUTeK Tune Noise testing data This Package (UEL Manifold) Stock Second CAT Our Resonated CAT Back Exhaust @4500rpm static test is 89db. Gives a lovely bark when pushing on yet subtle when cruising. When we have an EL setup in we will do the same test. This Package (EL Manifold) Stock Second CAT Stock CAT Back Exhaust @5000rpm static test is 84db. Feedback: Some of the feedback from the NA Tuning Package. Any questions, drop me a PM on here, email me on mike@tuningdevelopments.co.uk or give me a call on 01925 822 266. Thanks Mike
  4. Evening all! We've met a fair few members by now anyway, but for those that don't know who we are: Two brothers, Myself & Nick, we're based in Warrington, Cheshire, just off both the M62 & the M6, always been into all things Toyota, and we just had to get involved in the GT86, the most exciting thing to come out of Toyota in a while! We currently house ourselves in a 5400sq.ft premises, we have an in-house Dyno Dynamics 4WD Rolling Road and as such can offer the ECUTeK system with remaps to suit everybody's setup. We currently run a couple of cars, first being a Toyota Starlet GT Turbo, which we're currently surpassing 400bhp from a little 1300cc engine. Our other car is a Toyota Celica GT4, which is being prepped for Time Attack when time allows us to do so! It is getting slowly towards the finish so hopefully we'll make the paddock shortly Then we have our pearl white GT86, we're currently using this day to day, and as a development car, all of the parts you see will still be, or will have been fitted to our car at some stage and ran through their paces before releasing them for sale to you guys! As for our 86, we currently have some BC Racing coilovers installed along with some Rota Torque Drift wheels, our in-house designed turbo kit, along with overpipe, second decat and CAT back exhaust, all our own design and branding. 280bhp at 5psi of boost 330bhp at 8psi of boost We can be contacted via private message on this forum, via our website www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk or on the telephone on 01925 822 266. Please give us a shout if you think we can help you with anything. That's about it for now, i'll add on some more threads with our products and offers soon for everybody to take advantage of! 5. Hi all, I have decided to make this post as I'm not aware of many people who have gone down this route - hopefully will provide some help/feedback to anyone who has been considering this. I must stress that this is not a guide on how to install the manifold (how to do that is readily available online), I am just sharing my own experience. I reached out to Mike from TD and ordered the Unequal Length manifold they offer to be shipped to me - it is well known that this manifold produces good results and is highly recommended by others online, but due to work commitments and location, it was not easy for me to commit to a journey to TD in Warrington. My first job was to get an additional gasket and a set of bolts as I did not choose to get an aftermarket overpipe, then I purchased some DEI titanium exhaust wrap and wrapped the "downpipe" section between the manifold and overpipe pieces. With the exhaust wrap applied, removing the OEM manifold was the next job. This was not as hard as anticipated - I bought this 3-IN-ONE Professional High Performance Penetrant Spray from Halfords and sprayed some on all the bolts. I left this to soak in a bit and unplugged the o2 sensors and the bolts came off without much struggle. All in all, the whole DIY removal and installation took about 2 hours. Thoughts so far? Even without a remap (I am booked in to get this done at Abbey soon), the car feels noticeably more responsive. I feel a big improvement in torque around 3-4k RPM. I also love the exhaust note it makes (I am running this manifold with a HKS drop in air filter, Cobra resonated catback exhaust and stock overpipe/frontpipe). I am yet to get the CEL but it has only been a day and I'm sure this will come until I get the remap. All in all I am very very pleased with the outcome and am looking forward to getting the remap. Will post some results as soon as I have them.
  6. HiSo back in March I made the best decision and bought a gt86. Bought it for £14,000 with 24,000 miles on the clock. Didn't take me long to decide I wanted it, made the deal and part ex my slow 1.2 corsa ha. Out with the slow and in with the beast
  7. Hi All, Just thought i'd share my experiences of the excellent Tuning Developments and their Stage 1 turbo kit. First of all about me. I've had my 86 since 2013 (it's a Peal White limited edition with the red cross hatched stitching on the leather for the interested) and been lightly modifying it for the last couple of years. So far i'm running, Valenti sequential tail lights, trd spoiler, beatsonic antenna, stop tech disks and pads front and rear, tuning developments brake cooling fins, ate super blue brake fluid, P3 multigauge, Scorpion cat back and decat with a miltek overpipe. So, naughtier but still well behaved. Normally driving wise my trips consist of pootles around town mostly, some hard A road driving and long motorway jaunts. I track it once or twice a year, usually at Brands or Silverstone as they are closest to me. I'll start by saying i loved the stock car, great balance, surprising nippy on track and quite rewarding to wring it's neck. Gripes? Well the god damn squealing stock brakes and needing to wring its neck to get it shifting. As i said earlier, i do a fair chunk of long motorway drives and that ability to shift lanes and blow past something that was always missing. Or was.... I missed the first TD black friday sale but caught it this time round. If they do it again, definitely jump on it. I went for stage 1 turbo with UEL headers for the bass and the wub wub wub, knowing i may drop a couple of ponies for the pleasure but gain a little low down torque. The guys at TD did an excellent job turning it around in a week with no dramas what so ever. The new car (because i can't really refer to it as the old one anymore) is a completely different animal. Soundwise, there's probably 3 distinct phases. It's quieter than it was at idle, startup and when running round on 0-25% throttle. My exhaust was probably a little on the loud side especially when pulling under load and that has just lost a few dB and hit a sweet spot now. 25-50% throttle there's a little turbo whoosh from under the bonnet and a little grumble from the exhaust but pretty tasteful, hitting that little boost is probably my favorite of the sounds. At full chat, there's a lovely spooling sound followed by a dump of pure power. It sounds awesome! Balance wise, I've not driven it on track yet but i have taken it down a few A roads. Word to the wise, get an oil cooler before going on track, mine runs a few degrees hotter now and it wasn't exactly a cold running car to start with. Bearing in mind that i'm still on the stock primacy's (damn tires are harder than rock) traction is surprisingly good. One can't stand on the power out of a corner anymore but that adds to the enjoyment in my book and suits my driving style. Hopefully this'll speed the death of my tires and I can legit throw on an upgrade. The power, my god, the power. That's why we are all here right? Well i'll probably split this into everyday and pressing on. For everyday driving it's the perfect solution. I'm sure you've all done it, lent on the accelerator, felt the revs and torque build to a crescendo but been a little disappointed that it never really came. Well, now that crescendo is there, the one after that, and the one after that is there too. It pulls... well...everywhere. Mine makes more power and torque pretty much everywhere on the band vs stock. After the upgrade peak torque was 230ish with peak HP at 277.7 (check out the dyno below) the stock car was probably putting out something in the 180s. What's more important is that the torque is pretty flat across the band and is massive so it just hammers home. Driving down the motorway now, 6th used to pull better at 90 than at 70 and required a bit of a run up at 70 too. Now you can leave it where it is in 6th, lean on 50% throttle and you've departed and left everything behind. Pushing on, the sheer power as it punches through the gears is unbelievable. After my first couple full throttle blasts i was left giggling at the steering wheel saying "jesus christ, yeah f***ing right" to myself. If it wasn't playing my bluetooth, i would have sworn they swapped the car. It's always hard to compare apples with apples though with just how much quicker it has got however I was lucky enough to be given a direct competitor to measure against. At a number of track days I've caught but struggled to pass Caymans, just too quick on the straights with reasonable brakes. Well i was served one with a willing driver on the way home. A Cayman S PDK (last generation) no less and thought here's a good benchmark. He looked at me, i looked at him, we both knew it was on. We did a couple of drags from 65 north...significantly north (kph or mph i couldn't say). I did mine purely in 6th just to see what she could do, the answer was to pull a gap and keep pulling a gap, higher in the rev range the gap stabilized but the initial gap was decent. We did this a few times, the result the same and then the Cayman S departed with a confused shake of the head and a look of bewilderment. Well there you have it, in short, just get one, it is simply incredible. If i had to describe it in one word, for me the delivery is just so progressive and smooth it would have to be "creamy." Downside, if there is one is that it now takes only Super. I know, i know i should have been doing this anyway and not just for track days but hey. Hope this helps guide some people, trust me you won't regret it!

  12. Hi All, Thought we'd start a little thread to keep a track of things with our own in house GT86, we've owned it from new in May 2013 and its been a LOT of fun, lovely car to live with everyday, and fantastic on twisty lanes as i'm sure all of you already know Anyhow, we picked the car up in May 2013, having a set of Rota Torque Drift wheels in 18x9.5 ET35 in Bronze waiting for it at the workshop, along with a set of BC Racing BR Series coilovers. Those went on the car approximately 40 minutes after collecting it Along with some subtle decals along the sides after taking inspiration from the optional sticker kit from Toyota. We used the car for a little while like this, letting the engine break in nicely and not giving it too much abuse from day 1. Several hundred miles later, we popped her onto the Dyno and did a few base runs to see what we we're working with. The plot is our car, having done around 10 pulls, the power varied from 179bhp to 184bhp, this being the highest it made. From there we designed our exhaust system, second decat, overpipe and equal length manifold, along with a remap on the ECUTeK software! This saw us at a peak of 205bhp, smoothening out the torque dip area hugely with the manifold along with the remap. The car was completely different to drive as to be expected, and drove a lot better than the improvements would show on paper. Having explored that area we then moved onto forced induction... We designed our inhouse turbo kit, choosing to mount the turbo right up top at the front of the engine bay, with the factory airbox out of the way it leaves a perfect area for the turbo to sit along with external wastegate and downpipe. We chose to run a larger frame turbo from the get go as to keep the kit 'future proof'. Onto the Dyno the car went and began tuning, running via a TiAL MVR 44m external wastegate, we get precise and perfect boost control everytime which is exactly what we wanted when forcing air into an engine of this caliber. After time on the dyno and at a very modest 5psi or 0.35bar we managed to boost our horsepower by 94bhp upto 278bhp and boosted our peak torque from 160lb.ft upto 230lb.ft. Still on the stock clutch, fuel pump, injectors and so on. Needless to say this has transformed the car into something very special, no longer is there the need to rev the car to get it to go, joining motorways and picking up speed feels effortless. The power band below 4000rpm is night and day different to a factory car. It has to be experienced to explain it fully The car has took hours on the dyno along with months on the road and now thousands of miles, gathering mileage and data logs in varying environments to ensure its longevity and reliability. We're glad to say it hasn't missed a beat and on a good run we still return 44mpg We also added a powerflex rear gearbox mount insert, along with their rear differential and rear subframe inserts, these have made a nice improvement to the car, without adding any negative input to the daily drivability of the car. Ontop of this we fitted some KSport 8Pot/356mm Front Brakes along with KSport 4Pot/356mm Rear Brakes in 'caution yellow'. The car now stops on a sixpence and adds a lot of confidence when pushing on into braking zones. We removed the stock spoiler and replaced it with a TRD version which really finishes off the exterior of the car for us. We're a big fan of the factory bodyshape The car also has the GFB Lightweight Pulley kit installed. I'll add to this as we continue to push forward with things, we have fuel system, drivetrain and electronic boost control going onto the car very shortly and will be winding the boost up some more to form the next stage to our turbo package More to follow! Thanks for reading Mike Jones Tuning Developments Ltd

  17. Good afternoon all! We're booking up a way in advance with project work currently, as we did a couple of successful open days over the last 12 months, we've decided to see about arranging another one in the Spring of 2017 We're located just off the M6 and access and parking is very good where we are. Tuning Developments Ltd Unit 32 Melford Court Hardwick Grange Warrington Cheshire WA1 4RZ We were thinking of early/mid April time, I have shortlisted possibly the 2nd April or the 16th April. Both dates are a Sunday. The latter being followed by a bank holiday Monday. Sunday April 16th - 10:00am onwards Hopefully the weather shall be a little warmer than it is currently and we'll get a nice day, we'll have some parts out on show for people to see and look to put some offers on for the day if people would be interested. We'll also have the dyno running again as per previous open days for people to have a power run session for a reduced cost. We'll have our 86 here and if people wish we can demo the turbo kit and so forth. Last but not least we'll look to put on the BBQ again and tea/coffee/soft drinks too as it seemed to be get a good response last time I counted around 30 cars last time so it'd be great to get something similar if not more than last time! If anyone has any thoughts on the date then please shout up and also an idea of if people would be interested in doing another day please do post up your interest Thanks Mike 1. KevinA 2. Rob275 3.
