Smudge's UK Tour!

Just a few pictures from the convoy up to Edinburgh from Manchester

We all agreed that staying as close to 1 big convoy as possible is the way to do it, and that plan didn't disappoint. At one point I could see about 20 cars from the rally around us, it was just epic. I can't even imagine how much footage there is in total for the group

The weather wasn't with us most of the way but it didn't matter with the variation of epic cars and people

Finally hit the border

And finally arrived in Edinburgh

And all tucked up in the car park for the night, ready for a 450mile trip home tomorrow

Yesterday was time to come home after an epic few days of cars, people, partying, great roads and cities

Edinburgh back to London took us just 7 hours with a stop at Keele Services so a great run home

And after almost 1,100 miles she was finally home, safe and sound. Albeit a bit dirty!

I did the entire drive back from Edinburgh to London and I wasn't even tired after getting out of the car. It is so comfortable on long cruises and averaged 34mpg on the run home, including a fair few "spirited" runs along the way

A whole new love was found for the car this weekend, she outperformed in all aspects! Got some amazing comments all weekend and can't wait to see some of the professional footage being put together

Some of the footage I took over the weekend, 2nd video was my co-driver at the wheel and didn't understand what "Go past all the cars in the middle lane so I can video them" meant...

Looks like the car had a proper workout mate, gonna need a proper clean this weekend! Glad it took everything in it's stride!

In car footage was great, did the Leon have much done to it in terms of software and bolt on bits?

The Blue S2K looked rather tasty in your walk through video of the cars too!

And the full video from the Muvi guys that were on the rally with us

The video that we did has got us a FREE place on another rally this weekend. On Friday 22nd we leave Ace Café London again and venture to:

Birmingham (Friday 22nd)
Liverpool (Saturday 23rd)
Newcastle (Sunday 24th)

Before heading home on Monday 25th May

Keep a look out for us if you're in the area on those days

Exactly that

Just go on the website and look at the ones you want to do

I'm on another this weekend but will mainly be filming stuff as we've been given the task to produce the official video. Our last one with only about 3 hours worth of editing done already has 17,000 views in just over a week so can't be too bad at it!

This weekend was Part 2 of my UK tour, venturing from Ace Café in London again to:

Birmingham

Liverpool

Newcastle

On this rally, we were asked to produce the official video after our last amateur effort hit over 20,000 views in just over 2 weeks!

Although we were technically working, the people really made this one something special. Everyone was a unit from the off and it felt like a big family of car nutters rather than a random group of people. We had an amazing mix of cars as usual:

Nissan GTR

Aston Martin Vanquish

Ferrari 458 Spyder

Ferrari F430

Audi RS4

Audi RS5

BMW M6

BMW M5

Subaru Impreza STi

Nissan 370z

Range Rover Sport

Such a wide range of cars, all driven by like-minded people

Once again the GT86 got a lot of attention, I nearly had to sign over the V5 after one of the driver's Mrs wanted to buy it off me!

The car was once again tested in all aspects, long distance cruising, full throttle sprints, twisty B roads, even a tiny bit of off-roading in some places!

Simply one of the best weekends of my life driving some of the UK's best roads

And a video showing some "spirited driving" through the Welsh valleys on the way to Snowdonia. All within the legal speed limit of course
