KevinA got a reaction from Cerastes in New Committee Members
Thanks everyone it's a nice warm welcome, lot's of enthusiastic people around us that I'm sure will have great ideas and support for a club that can go from strength to strength. I will continue to campaign in the Sprint Series but am more than happy to be involved in whatever needs doing, so any ideas/suggestions just drop me or any of the admin a line.

The club needs to go from strength to strength, so great to see sure footed moves for the future

KevinA reacted to smudge in Smudge's supercharged V8 build
Progress continues on the V8, just the few final pieces of the puzzle until we can load the base map into the Motec ECU. Things like making a custom bracket for an idler pulley where the hydraulic power steering used to be, reinstalling the 1UZ air conditioning pump, checking the belt run etc. Hopefully the next few days will finally get us there.
In the meantime, a few more goodies turned up today.
2Forge ZF1 wheels courtesy of @Tarmac. Lovely forged units so nice and light, but at an affordable price compared to most forged wheels!
AEM water/meth injection kit courtesy of @Mark@Abbey M/S. Went for the upgraded 5gallon tank as I think my charger will eat through the meth, especially on track.
Also had my rear 5x114.3 hubs arrive so I can change all 4 over the weekend.

KevinA reacted to gavin_t in NA tune or turbo that is my dilema....
Ah my thread has been brought back to life.
Fyi I got the TD na pack and am happy with the decision.
After a few track days with it fitted I am happy with the power for now as it has made enough of a difference to stock to make it more fun and drivable.

KevinA reacted to Paul in NA tune or turbo that is my dilema....
I have to be honest, now that I've had my N/A tuned '86 for 2 years, I wish I'd gone straight for the turbo. I know it's a much higher outlay up front, and the N/A package does make the car much more capable, it's just that for me personally the N/A package increase just isn't enough given how capable the car is elsewhere. It's not the right decision for everyone but if you have the money, I'd go straight for the turbo up front.

KevinA got a reaction from chrisrussell in What supercharger? (Maybe turbo)
My turbo kit is going on for next season, the good thing is you can have it mapped as linear as you like. I'm sure people will give you some good feedback.

KevinA got a reaction from Lauren in TSS - Snetterton - 27th October
So the season has come to an end, on a personal note it's great to have won both the TSS N1 pro championship and the fastest NA car too. Also the JSS J10 championship as well. I would like to thank Tuning Developments for making my car as quick as it can be
A big thanks to series sponsors especially RRG for supporting us all without them and Javelin running the events it wouldn't be the Series we all have come to love.
Lots of behind the scenes help so more thanks to all involved, and of course the competitors of which many are friends and very good drivers too.
See you all next year !!

KevinA got a reaction from Riceburner in Recall issued on cars to have valve springs replaced 2012-2013

KevinA got a reaction from Angelina in GT86 BRZ Tuning Package from Tuning Developments
I HATED IT well actually TOYOTA really, that's exactly how the car should come from the factory !! To say the car drives different is an understatement it is a major transformation. Any further 86's coming my way will get the same treatment for sure.

You read it here folks, 10 out of 10 in my book. Not to mention all the top NA cars in TSS and JSS are running this package.

KevinA got a reaction from Mike in Wheel weight rota blitz, pro race 1.2
Well that made interesting reading, a subject that has been talked about so many times and no real conclusion has been reached. My OH has got light weight 17" wheels on her 86, I drive it on track and don't feel it is any quicker than my 18" heavier wheels but the feel is vastly different. An average driver probably will not notice much outright change where a touring car driver ( for instance ) may well feel the change in pace straight away.
Probably best to buy what you like and to suit your type of driving, it would be pants if we all had the same wheels

TBH with those pads normal driving will be sufficient, enjoy the drive home
