    A wet start !

But the presence of a club teeshirt sends the clouds away!

    What a neat line up!

I've used an OEM expired puncture fluid. Seems fine I found but either way you're going to get a mess. And as that is the case, I'd just grab tyre weld. Much quicker to use than the puncture repair kit offered in the car.

Think i need to put recirculate on. Thanks Lauren

Have you tried putting it on recirc to cool the car down? That is what it should be on. Then move it to fresh air after five minutes or so. The climate control does this automatically. Even at 50C outside on a sun drenched expressway I had it on number 3 fan speed. It kept us cool, but my window was so hot I couldn't touch it!

There isn't. I had a GT limited in Japan with a high temp of 50C on the Shuto Expressway. It was fine. It's just manual control that's the only difference really. It certainly worked well enough, but knob twiddling was required.

If I am remembering rightly yours is a primo? Be interesting to know if there are any difference in performance between the aircon setup in yours and the climate control in the regular ones.

A big thank you to every one who came along to the show.
A good mix of cars and mods for everyone to see.
Didn’t get to speak to all of you but I hope the fine weather contributed to a great day for you.
Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

My air con is pretty chilli. Like insanely cool and comes on pretty fast. Faultless. 2015 model here.

Sounds like the age old problem of not running your AC all the time. It's plenty good enough to cope with these temperatures. I've done Euro trips where the temp has been 37C and it coped just fine. I hired a GT86 in Japan five years ago and at one point the temperature got to an indicated 50C on the expressway in traffic and whilst it was working hard, it kept us cool. Sounds like it may need a recharge. Best to never turn it off all year round. That's what I've done with my car and it has always worked well. It's been like an oasis the last few days.

They only check the pipework normally. Ifthe leak is integral to the compressor, they won't find it very easy.

If you run your air con at least once a month for 30mins, you should be fine. Otherwise the oring seals dry up in the compressor and leak. The gas works as a lubricant.

As the guys have said pointless changing tyres before. I waited until after to treat myself. I was also worried about insurances I couldn’t source any. Again the worst you can do if spin around or hit a cone. Mine is in warranty so any engine problems just take back to dealership 👍🏼. Have fun

As said get tyres after the event. When I did it I bolted on my original wheels with some old Michelin Primacy on. Less grip = more learning at the end of the day

You will learn a lot. I insure my car for trackdays but don't when I go there. Only one car on the move at a time and you would be hard pushed to find something to hit

    1. Insurance is not needed as unlike track days, you are all alone driving it. Cant give away everything but rest assured I was like you before, safe than sorry.
    2. Tyres- Primacy 3 is technically the replacement for HP, so not hugely different, just a bit better. When you have a tyre go ( puncture/ sidewall) and have no spare wheel in boot, such choices need to be made based on instant availability in that tyre shop/ roadside assistance.
Good news that across the axle your tyres have same wear as with an LSD it is particularly key for the rears. Overinflate tyres to 45 psi when there to not damage your sidewalls and you will lose about 1.5 mm tread on the day. Definitely don't go with brand new tyres. Hope this helps.

In the past I used a very good independent workshop Basic service + MOT with the main service every 5 years had the car for 10 years no problem and that is the minimum you should be doing. I have no faith in my local main dealer so use an independent specialist who has many years experience with Subaru and does not work on other brands has all the correct fluids and spares. Not cheap but not as ecpencive as the main dealer.

I'd always get a car serviced every year, especially a high performance car like this.
If the Toyota costs are too much, which I think they are, why not shop around some local garages or indie Toyota specialists?
It will devalue the car when you come to see it too.

A couple of days ago I had cause to brake very hard on a damp road early in the morning.  The PS4s had a very impressive level of grip with virtually no slip or chirps.  Score one for the Michelins.

As these cars are built for this type of use, l assumed that warranty would cover it. Need to have another session there soon. It is a fantastic experience, now I want to learn more before l take to a track.

Looks like a bad accident in Stevenage involving a GT86 at some meet. Stuff like this make my blood boil as it gives us all a bad name.

Also blew-off vacuum pipe. The mechanic there fixed it for me, to carry on. Took it to dealership after to clamp it, done under warranty 👍😜.
