SimonG68 71 Report post Posted March 13, 2017 Hi All, Taking this for a test drive tomorrow... I'm aware that the mileage is high for the price wanted, but providing all is mechanically sound, how much would you be willing to pay?
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted March 13, 2017 I guess you can search Autotrader as well as the rest of us ;-). Seem to be plenty of sub-40k '62 platers around the £13.5k mark, but I guess condition varies. But even that would leave a little haggle room I would think. Good luck with your hunt! SimonG68 71 Report post Posted March 13, 2017 Yeah, will be negotiating, but have a ceiling of £13,200, as have done the autotrader and ebay engines.
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 It doesn't look like it's got the leather/alcantara heated seats, so I would knock money off for that. As for value, it's hard for me to say as I bought my car new and still have it. 1 SimonG68 reacted to this
zhuonanli 14 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 63 Reg, 28K, 12k for mine. so this is kind of too expensive ? 1 SimonG68 reacted to this
SimonG68 71 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 Cheers, have cancelled the Viewing/test drive as called them and mentioned that the vehicle was in my opinion too expensive... Just waiting for the dealer to call back......
rob275 1817 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 It doesn't help of course that it seems to not be a private sale, they are generally more anyway. You can't compare a trade sale to private sales as trade sales only compare to other trade sales. Seeing GT86's for these price makes me wonder why I didn't just buy a 2nd one 1 SimonG68 reacted to this
ThatGuyThere 54 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 This seems overpriced to me, seems £13k would be appropriate, maybe £14k max as it's a dealer. But good decision to cancel because they'll never knock that much off. 1 SimonG68 reacted to this
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 I reckon a few dealers might be hoping for a Top Gear related bounce in values... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 SimonG68 reacted to this

Falix 22 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 The GT86's are a little cheaper in the UK as there is more units sold and thus more choice. Personally I'd go for another colour, not a ginge fan. Spec wise its personal preference, but manual box was a must for me, even if the clutch feels a bit pants. 1 SimonG68 reacted to this
MartinT 514 Report post Posted June 8, 2017 Recent newbie, recent purchase and close to me! Do tell what you think of it, especially as you think it's better than an RX8.
