Captain Duff 79 Report post Posted September 30, 2014 The Primo actually looks as though it might be decent value to me given it doesn't appear to be anywhere near the same 'poverty' spec as the base model in Japan (or the Scion for that matter) - but I'm confused with the mention of hill start on the base model - is that now going to be standard through the range? Also, are the Sachs coilovers (assuming they are going to be used in the upgraded models) likely to be available as a separate stand-alone upgrade via the dealer network? They certainly look good on the German development car using stock wheels -

No dual climate system, no HIDs, no spoiler. The FR-S isn't quite the same as the base model in Japan which has smaller wheels and brakes etc. They stated hill start assist when the original came out, possibly the same mistake? The Sachs probably won't be an upgrade, but no reason you couldn't just order them as parts. I wonder if it's just the shocks or anything else has changed as well.

They certainly look good on the German development car using stock wheels - I doubt it's the sachs coilovers that are fitted. They have been available for a while as an aftermarket fitment. I'm pretty sure it's just dampers made by sachs on the 2015my.

I've seen the newer version from what I could tell at 86 style. It's just Sachs dampers from what I could see. They may well be an improvement over the standard dampers. Though if you're going to change for something aftermarket it matters little really.

I meant as in changes to things like LCA or anything else connected to the struts. Basically if this a direct easy swap over or a bit more involved. They were changed for a reason, the originals (Prova?) aren't of bad quality but I'd assume the new ones to be better. If my springs cause the dampers to go I'll contemplate swapping to these. Lauren 2259 Report post Posted October 1, 2014 Well, I didn't do any measurements but looked simply like a different damper and nothing else. 1 Kodename47 reacted to this

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted October 10, 2014 Okay a few quick pics taken on my phone this morning when it arrived unexpectedly: This is the Aero Kit model which is basically the top spec GT86 apart from the limited edition Gialla which should be arriving soon too. The interior features a new design fascia panel: Full leather, this is an option though it is featured on GT86's from 2013 on: 18x17.5 OZ Ultralights shod with Yoko Advan V105 92Y (lower load rating) tyres: Outside the workshop at RRG Macc' with my car (lights on) on the ramps: A new button has arrived! This is for the tyre pressure sensors but I'm not quite sure how it works: 1 Quball reacted to this
