    Quesstion about wheels modification

Here is the thing, I hate the look of sunken wheels on the vehicle body!!! I plan to buy put some wheel spacers on, 3/4inch or 1/2inch, not too thick, but still, I worry about the safety. 'Cause I saw some terrible pics on the internet of the wheels jump out bcz of wheel spacers. So I search for some proof of WHEEL SPACERS SAFETY, and here's a result that I got from the internet. Hope there's somebody can tell me that it is true that wheel spacers are safe only if I treat them right.
  2. Hey I'm looking to buy a new set of Ultraleggera's for my aero, all I can find is everyone using 18" x7.5J ET48 I've checked my wheels and they all say ET46, yet I can't find ET46's anywhere online? I can't figure out what exact wheels I've got and how to order these exact wheels, reviews call the wheels on the GT86 Anthracite grey but OZ seem to not sell this colour and call them Graphite Silver instead, is this a match? OZ's site https://www.ozracing.com/uk/alloy-wheels/oz-racing/sport/ultraleggera I think the full name for my wheels would be "18 inch Anthracite grey oz Ultraleggera" https://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/oz-racing/ultraleggera/graphite/18-inch/toyota/gt86/2012-present For example this site just lists them as Graphite and their site doesn't allow you to choose and Aero if it even makes a difference This site lets me choose between 7.5J and 8J, assuming mine are 8J (EDIT MINE ARE 7.5J!!) https://www.lkperformance.co.uk/wheels/oz-racing/12292-ultraleggera-matt-graphite-silver?vehicle=1546&rim_size=18 Secondly I can't seem to find any "ET46" only ET48's I think the car needs ET44 anyway, the wheels need to be pushed out a bit IMO, stock Aero, surely buying 48's would be risky Any advice would be great and if anyone is selling a set in good nick hit me up, I'm also willing to sell my set now or at a later date, ones buckled (quite bad lol)
  3. Hi all, I am getting a Club Edition Electric Blue GT86 with performance pack on Monday, just wanted to know if my old stock winter wheels from my 2013 GT86 will fit? Reason I'm asking is the performance pack has the Brembo brake callipers and I'm not sure if there is enough clearance. I rang my local Toyota dealer who were not very helpful with "don't know, you'll have to try one". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

A few parts left over from me stripping and selling my car.Skunk2 air intake kit. £170Only used for a few thousand miles. looks good and give a lovely induction noise and has been proven to increase top end power. TMG Motorsport spec Oz ultralaggera wheels with federal 595 rsr tyres. £500These are from a TMG race car made in Germany and used in the 24hr of nurburgring races. Standard gt86 bolt pattern 5x100 17x8 et50. but will require extended wheel studs to fit safely. I can provide a place to can supply these for approximately £40.Turn one trophy s bucket seat. £200Approximately 1 year old only has minor marks from fitting. It uses a sparco Evo 2 fibreglass frame and is probably the comfiest seat I've ever used.
  5. Hello all, Sorry if this has been talked about over and over, abit new here and recently got my gt86. I'm looking at aftermarket wheels/tyres and pretty much got the wheels i want being 18x9.5 38ET. Fitment industries video on wheels says these are the max with 245/35 tyres that will fit on stock suspension. But looking at the Willitfit website and the gt86 specific fitment link, it will hit the strut and needs 5mm extra to clear. I know various people have said they fit, other saying they need coilovers to fit. Is there any Yes/No answer someone can give me if they've done the same fitment? The 2nd part of the question is are all popular coilovers thinner than stock? so if i need some coilovers to fit the wheels i want, is it ok to go with Tien flex Z or Bc racing. Cannot seem to find any pictures of the 2 side by side. thank you for help!

    Sold: TRD Wheels

Removed from my TRD and now surplus to requirements - tyres will be removed, as they’re winters with about 150 miles on them, so I’ll be reusing them. Specs: 5x100, 18x7.5j, et46 £397 per wheel brand new from fensport https://www.fensport.co.uk/parts/toyota/gt-86/zn6/wheels/trd-tf6-18-aluminum-wheel/ Asking £450 for all four Located
  7. For sale are my gunmetal grey Rota Boosts 17x7.5 et48 with 215/45 AD08R tyres that are near the legal limit. One of the wheels has a 5p sized paint chip on one of the spokes where I dropped the wheel. Haven't had a chance to weigh them but they're noticeably lighter than the standard wheels and the AD08R's make the car properly quick through corners. Location: GL11 £500 £400 Collection only (unless you wish to swap then different arrangements can be made)
  8. For sale: MY99 Subaru Impreza 16" wheels with Nokian winter tyres These are my winter seasonal wheels up for sale and fit the '86 perfectly and really suit the car, to my eyes at least. When I bought the wheels they weren't in the greatest shape finish wise so I scrubbed them down and gave them a quick home refurbish. They're far from concourse, but as a set of winter alloys they're perfectly fine and run straight and true without any vibrations or such. The Nokians have about 2-3mm on the rears and about 3-4 on the fronts so won't last much longer but might see you through this winter, particularly if you rotate them. They're stored in wheel covers, same as these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/XL-size-SPARE-COVER-WHEEL/dp/B00O2BGFMU , which I've marked which corner they've come off, so they've always gone back on the same corner. They're currently a bit dirty with brake dust since I took them off in a rush in spring and haven't got round to clearing them up so gloves would be useful for handling out of the bags. I'm looking for £150, collection from Crich in Derbyshire or could meet within an agreed short distance. Free cup of tea on collection
  9. Set of 4 OZ Racing Ultraleggera Alloy wheels in black. 18x8, ET48, 5x100 PCD. Recently sold my GT86 😪 so wheels no longer required. Come with Falken Ziex 225/40r18 with loads of tread left. Tyres alone are £95 each on black circles. Couple of kerb marks so reflected in asking price. These wheels retail at over £1300 without tyres! £850 or ovno. Buyer to collect from Dundee, Scotland.

    New owner Bristol

I say new, I’ve had it almost a year now but love it just as much as the day I picked it up! Only recently started to change things. Got the smoked valentis and spent the weekend plastidipping the wheels and front lip (so much fun!) . Looking at getting the windows tinted & roof wrapped shortly. Got some alcantara on order to wrap the dash. And hopefully get the TD NA kit and Resonated exhaust before the end of the year. Any other mods (fairly cheap) you guys would recommend? Cheers! Dave
  11. Set of 4 alloys and tyres for sale.Alloys:Fondmetal 9RRSatin black17 x 7 ET45CB 56.1 (fits standard hubs with no need for spigot rings)These weigh 7.45kg so a saving vs standard. See pics below for comparison of standard wheel and primacy vs these alloys and Yokohama2 of the alloys have tiny kerb marks which may just be visible in the photos. So tiny I just touched in with black paint.Tyres:Yokohama V105 extra load 215/45/ZR17/91YTwo about 5mm, one 4mm, one 3mm treadCentre caps and wheel nuts included both with a little corrosion as seen in the photos. Location: St Neots, CambsPrice: £300, pickup only due to size and weight.
  12. Hi All, 4 X OEM wheels good condition one curbed (last image ending 5959) and rear tyres worn. In Gillingham Kent. Collection preferred, can be shipped at additional cost. Price: £200
  13. Hey everyone, I’m selling my wheels since i’m looking to change things up a bit with the 86. They’re Rota RKR’s in 18x9.5 ET44 with Hankook Ventus V12 tires in 255/35R18. Some remarks/info about the wheels: 1 wheel has some curb rash, no gashes, just rash. And 1 wheel has some dings on 2 spokes because of a lug nut that had broken off. Pictures are below. Front left (dings on the spokes): Rear left (curb rash): Rear right (it has something black on the outer rim, but it's not curb rash, i think it's residue of something, but i'm not sure): Front right (perfectly fine): As for the tires, the fronts are at 6-7mm thread and the rears are at 2mm tops at the camber side and 3-4mm tops at the non-camber side, i've included pictures below. Front tires: Rear tires (note they have been flipped so the camber wear is now towards the outside of the wheels): The wheels are pretty rare, they’re the only set in Europe & UK (except for a Toyota UK demo car that has them in an 8,5 wide spec) and pretty rare in general. The people who know these wheels will know they're hard to come by. If you're interested or have any other questions be sure to let me know. Asking price is €1200, open for offers (i can ship if needed, i'm sure we can work something out). Wheels are located in Belgium. Greetz, Joe
  14. I moved house in October and now I can walk to work, so I don't need winters for my commute any more. As a result, these are for sale, great tyres for winter/cold/damp, much more confidence inducing than primacy for winter months. They are mounted on cheap alloys that while not the prettiest, are easy to clean for salty dirty conditions. They've done 2 winters on my car, so roughly 12 months/8k miles, I rotated them so there is 5-6 mm left on all of them. Will also include wheelnuts. I'm in Leamington Spa now, collection only as they'd be a pain to post. Cost just over £600 new, selling at £250 or nearest offer.

All parts are as new, the car was only driven from the forecourt to our workshop which is just down the road. As you can see in the tags we have a wide range of parts (far too many to list), but we have things from standard brake disks to headliners, head unit, alloy wheels, engine block etc. All parts have been carefully stripped by a professional race team. If you are looking for anything in particular or want some more info what we have here / prices feel free to get in touch or email me - callum@rollcentre.com Pictures can be provided upon request
  17. Hello all, This isn't something I want to do but unfortunately I'm having to sell my Works. I bought these from a club member earlier this year and had them fully professionally refurbed and powder coated in a beautiful satin bronze. As per the thread title they are 18x9.5 x et38 - as long as you are on coilovers there are no fitment issues whatsoever and no rubbing problems. I also had them fitted with brand new 235/40/18 Yokohama Advan Sport v105 tyres. Since the refurb I have done less than a thousand miles on them so the wheels are completely unmarked and the tyres are almost as new. I will also throw in a full set of black Mishimoto extended wheel nuts with 4 locking nuts - these have a few marks on from removal/fitting and a couple of the nuts have small chips on the edges where the wheel brace has damaged them but does not affect fitment at all. I spent weeks researching wheels before making this choice, they suit the 86 perfectly and I am absolutely gutted to let them go so soon but needs must. If you are interested please let me know before I come to my senses and keep them. Pics below, shout if you have any questions. Collection preferred as I would hate for them to be damaged by a courier, location is Otley / LS21. Also happy to meet people half way etc. Price: £1400 ovno. Rich @TTR you want to get rid of those Rotas? GT86_16_09_nimz-3 by nimzicki, on Flickr NewWheels_nimz-7 by nimzicki, on Flickr

Sold -TRD Style Fender garnishes, ordered from thespeedline but never fitted - Gone I'm sure theres a few other bits but I'll post them up when they're off the car. I'd prefer collection from Birmingham but I can post some of the smaller things out. Again I'll get pictures of the individual parts as soon as I get around top taking them off.

  22. Full set of Toyota GT86 (mk. 1) / Subaru BRZ alloys wheels. Complete with 4 x original Michelin Primacy HP Tyres. 1: Minor kerbing. >3mm tread. 2: Tiny kerbing, >2mm tread. 3: Small kerbing, 6.5mm tread. 4: Kerbing, 3.5mm tread. The wheels were painted with plastic-dip by the previous owner. This was not done very well and has started to peel. This has, however, protected the paint on the alloys very well. The plastic-dip peels easily. One of the alloys is relatively badly kerbed. The others do have kerb marks, one is very minor. The wheels have done around 20k miles. Listed for £200 elsewhere but open to offers for forum members. Located in Hinckley.
  23. OEM wheels. Some marks here and there but nothing deep. Worst is pictured. Tyres went through MOT last month but are getting low. Pick up. Hull £180
  24. Custom 2.5 inch overpipe with 2x sensor holes £120 - this pipe is slightly larger than most aftermarket ones and is made with ceramic coated steel. very good quality better than the likes of miltek, cobra ect but nevertheless still just an overpipe. both holes are currently bunged. Boot mat bought brand new from subaru a couple of weeks ago only had it in the car a few days and thought it would help with the dodgy floor due to my sub. It hasnt soo im going to build a new floor instead. Paid 99£ and was told it was the last in the country. Would like 80£ delivered. The Brown marks are from a cardboard box in my boot its only been in there about 2 days will wipe up as new Tein Street flex coilovers complete with adjustment tools - lower 20-50mm -£350 cheapest set of decent coilovers around! Samco Set of 4 red hoses - £65 REAR lights - £50 each light Blue gt86 fender garnishes as new - £80 these are really easy to change you could take the badge of and spray/wrap them also. then stick them back on! gold rays valves - £10 door lock trims - £3.50 Yokohama Advan sport 235/40/18 95y V105s - asking £85 a tyre shipped! for the 4 new ones and have two with 6mm tread asking £45 each wheels - 0z Ultraleggera 18x17.5 et 48 £1000 also have some perfect tyres same as factory ones to replace. OZ superleggera 17x7 et48 identicle to stock wheels -£500 5x OZ racing superleggera wheels - £500 in decent condition probably 7-8/10 in my opinion. One very light curb mark on the gold wheel all others are fine with some very minor storage marks to paintwork shown in the pictures. One of the grey wheels is damaged hence the gold one but its definitely repairable but id rather someone repaired it with someone they trust than sell a wheel as repaired. All wheels are identicle to stock 17x7j with 48 offset and are incredibly light. ive not weighed them but they feel lighted than my ce28ns did at 6.3kg but I could be wrong OZ Ultraleggera 18x7.5j et48 x5 - £1000 4 wheels are brand new one has a small curb mark but there is a 5th brand new in box wheel to replace it. Tyres are 4-5mm all round came on an aero car with 8k miles.
  25. Hi all, While doing some research on what size alloys and tyres I could potentially go for I came across this website. I am trying to fill out the arch gap and also get the wheels to come out a bit more without using spacers. Arch gap isn't as important. Anyway, enter your current sizes and then your proposed sizes and it gives you details of how far away it will be from suspension strut and how far it will come out and with a really nice diagram. FYI OEM sizes are below in case anyone needs them. Width 215 Profile 45 Diameter 17 Width 7" Offset 48 (I believe).
