AJ124 got a reaction from Ade in Brake upgrades - discs/pads?
I have just asked the piston sizes, well priced if it keeps the bias sensible.

AJ124 reacted to smudge in Smudge's supercharged V8 build
Blimey, haven't updated this for a while!
As some of you know, I finally had enough with being messed around and seeing little to no progress with the guy that's been doing the V8 swap since April 2016. I took the car from him a couple of weeks ago and I'm having a more trusted place called Carson Performance complete whatever is left to do.
At first glance, there wasn't a huge amount of work that needed doing. Just small, fiddly bits like fuel lines, oil system for the supercharger etc. However, on closer inspection, we've unfortunately had to backtrack and redo some of the substandard work from the previous garage in order to make sure things are done properly and to a standard both Carson and I are happy with.
This means that we've spent 2 weeks essentially redoing work where corners have been cut. Not ideal, but at least we have peace of mind that everything is being checked to ensure we dont run into any problems once it is finally up and running...hopefully!
Timescales now? Probably another 4-6weeks I reckon, but know knows what else we'll come across that will stop us from progressing further.
There's light at the end of the tunnel and I've begun to find some love for it again. The guys at Carson also have an 86 so there's a personal passion for the car and their enthusiasm shines through the fantastic work they do. I'm kept up to date almost daily, even when it's bad news so that we can agree on a solution.
Will try and keep this updated, hopefully with some good news soon.

AJ124 reacted to Ade in Ade's Road and Track Toy
The main reason I let go is force of habit really. I know it best to be in total control and I'll try to focus on not letting go but I'd rather control it by letting go than try to keep hold and struggle to get a quick enough reaction and thus spinning out and potentially spanking my car!
One things for sure you can go a fair bit quicker in the wet with tc switched off. Slightest rear end movement causes it to intervene and slow you down.

AJ124 reacted to Mark@Abbey M/S in Abbey Motorsport Ecutek Traction control
We been waiting for a Ecutek RaceRom update to allow us to push on our Traction control development , being a master tuner we have a Beta RR package that allows us to do this.
With some carefully built RR maps and the EVI Ecutek Bluetooth module we have got a pretty good adjustable traction control set up still needs some more work but already it is pretty good Your see wheel slip at the bottom being controlled. Throttle pedal is fully down commanding 80% throttle butterfly opening but our RaceRom custom maps is keeping the Throttle butterfly only @ 54% reducing the power together with reducing timing normally @ 5000rpm and 1.9 engine load we would see around 23/24 deg timing our RaceRom maps are dropping the timing to around 14 degs to reduce the power to keep the wheel speed (slip) under control. The traction is controllable via the Ecutek Bluetooth EVI with a slider to adjust the amount of traction control We should soon have this sorted so when the new RaceRom update is released it will be available to our Ecutek tuned customers. We hope to have 2 levels calibrated to enable use without having a Ecutek EVI module but it wont be adjustable by the driver -

While I was in Japan over Christmas I picked up a little something for the car which I fitted today. TRD starter button which compliments the other red bits nicely:-

Or downright scary when pouring with rain and in an M4
I've also driven it in a bone stock GT86 (a TGB car) in the dry though on my 1st time round the circuit and it's a good car as it's not too fast. I know @tegunulgener managed to gravel trap one of the cars on the same day though

Hiya, no. These are just OEM replacement if yours are damaged. Extended ones cost £185.33 for all 4 wheels.

AJ124 reacted to TTR in Heel/Toe Advise
Bucket seat made an absolutely ENORMOUS difference to how easy it was for me to heel and toe in the 86. The BRZ feels rather alien in comparison, I could do with being shorter

When you have the Cosworth baffle fitted, will you share your findings in regards to oil pressure? I have a Moroso hanging on my garage wall and cant decide if I want to modify it and fit it or just go with another baffle thats proven not to cause starvation.

I've been involved in the development of something else which is now going forwards. While I can justify multiple sets of wheels to the gf multiple sets of suspension is harder! 😂

The alcantara would only need say 10mm wrapped round just to stop it coming off.

I was reading your thread on Talkstuff the other day, looking good. Between yours and @Ade builds I'm getting all sorts of silly and expensive ideas!

LOL yeah tell me about it. Mine started out as "i'll just change the speaker for those Focal OEM ones....." ... then a couple of unused Genesis Profile amps popped up...
