Hi, I thought I should do a quick write up about this so others with the same exhaust, or similar problem have some guidance from my experience.
Nvidia N1 and some other exhausts suffer from a lot of bad drone around 3k RPM, but other than that it sounds too sweet for me to replace so I've tried some fixes for it and here are the two which seem to have somewhat worked for me.
The first thing I did was do some sound deadening around the car boot, this did not so much in terms of reducing drone but it reduced vibration of the metal so it made the car more pleasant. I have not fully sound deadening the boot though as it adds unnecessary weight in my opinion, therefore I have used 3-4 sheets on the top of the boot and this is enough to deaden most vibrations.
The whole boot does not need to be covered for it to be effective.  The sheets I used were Silentcoat 2mm.
Further, placed two sheets on the panel underneath of the boot, this looks like a silver curved sheet of metal right behind the 3rd brake light. If anything knocked or touched it, this panel made a sound as if it was a hollow barrel. So by cleaning this panel, and placing two sound deadening sheets, this for me reduced the drone, not by a lot but it did have a noticeable effect. 
Lastly, the one modification which made a huge difference for me is the HKS Duel Resonated Front pipe. Replacing the oem from pipe with this seems to have reduced the drone drastically. Mind you, the exhaust is still on the loud side, but the heavy drone around the 3k RPM on the Nvidia N1 for me is more than manageable.  I highly recommend this particular modification if you do suffer from droning in the car.
From my research, another modification which I have not yet done, is adding a Heimholtz chamber to the exhaust, however I have not yet decided which part of the exhaust I should put this on. But would most likely do this after a Manifold upgrade in order to reduce the overall noise.

Looks to me like you haven't adjusted the beam height since receiving the headlights from VLAND - am I correct in saying that?
When mine came through the post they were much the same - pointing right into the ground, find an empty parking lot and drive close to wall and adjust them (example: https://youtu.be/sjLVO94NLN4?t=79) so it raises up the beam.

This was the original concept for the GT86 - it's not based on the GT86, it is a GT86 before it was toned down for production.
I wish they'd offered a colour more like that on the production version, IMHO it's much nicer than the solid red.
ETA: Hadn't realised it was actually sitting in a museum! Always nice to get up close to concept cars.

I phoned up a Toyota garage before buying my 86 (2016 plate at 53k miles) to ask them about this service because I wanted to use it as a bargaining tool to get more money off when buying the car.
When I phoned up the garage they informed me the spark plug service is now standardised as part of the standard price service of £395. Of course, that's just one guy on the phone and could be wrong, but I hope he isn't...

So, VLAND headlight installed today. Took way longer than I thought, around 4 hours but was fun.
Initially took off the bumper which was the easiest by far, was expecting it to be a pain.
Taking off the brackets holding the headlight was pretty easy as well.  Side by side comparison shows how chromey the stock primo lights are.
The wiring was the most challenging for me, just because I have zero experience with splicing and electrical stuff. I'm a mechanical engineer not electrical 😂
i promise I will tidy the wiring up one day
after that, straightforward to reinstall the bumper. In my opinion, they transform the front end of the car and makes it look so much better. Would be happy to hear some opinions on them!

I've just put a deposit down on a beautiful orange GT86. I've been on the lookout for a car for a while and I've had a rollercoaster of an experience.
So I had 2 cars lined up one weekend, an orange 86 with black trim for the roof of the car, wheels and windmirrors. Very nice car but slightly high miles (72k). I phoned up Friday to reserve the car and it turned out that someone had put a deposit on the car and made the purchase that evening.
Fine, not a problem, there was modified blue GT86 I was to be seeing that Sunday. On Saturday I get a notification on Facebook that the listing has been removed....hmmm. I message the lad and unfortunately the poor fella has been in an accident and written off the car :(
Thankfully nobody was injured and he's okay which is good news.
I have now been able to purchase a 2016 orange GT86 with 54k miles on the clock, single owner for £11.9k. Very happy with my purchase and can't wait to pick it up!
I've been driving my dad's Audi A1 and been wanting my first car for a while. I've got a lot of plans for modifications!
Anyway, just wanted to post here and say hi to all!
