Steeps got a reaction from Keethos in New Cosworth Supercharger.
Apparently the kit will work on the stock exhaust but 20bhp down, but I agree I'm not too keen on doing half a job of it. Already got 1.1 so need cat and manifold (2.2k on top of the 1.6 already spent), supercharger kit (5k), then the BBK too, but I'd have to change my wheels for that. There's suppsedly a smaller brake kit coming out for those staying on 17"'s.
Could flog the camera kit to pay for it, but then no more pictures
I could have enough saved within 6 months to get just the supercharger, then add the cat and manifold at a later date but it's a lot of work doing it that way.

If only you could knock £240 off my quote, I'd love to be paying £30 a year for insurance

Steeps got a reaction from TankGirl in Reminder: No tax disc required as of tomorrow
Got bored at work, no idea if making this is a big naughty for faking (badly) a (no longer required) tax disc.

Steeps got a reaction from faith in Steeps' GT86 (Cosworth)
Not sure how to go about writing this as this upgrade came about sooner than I'd hoped but as the modifications have begun it's time for a thread.
This is my first "serious" car (if you can call it that, the amount of fun it is) and I hadn't planned to mod it until I was sure on what I wanted, then Cosworth came along but the prices were silly.
I made the mistake of saying when the price is dropped to a more reasonable level I would start investing in the kit, and I hate saying I'll do something then not do it, so I did it.
Had the kit installed on the 19th (Stage 1.1, I'm not that flush with cash!) which was an awesome Birthday present to myself, followed with a driver training day on the Sat with Cat which allowed me to learn more about the car in a "safe" environment (tractors!)
Anywho, you're only here for the pics, so here's a link: http://dansteeples.co.uk/portfolio/index.php/galleries/gt86-cosworth-stage-1-1-install.html
hopefully more to come

(yes I'm aware it looks basic, too much time editing photos, not enough time web building)

Steeps got a reaction from rob275 in Forum Downtime
See, rabbits are unreliable. Nothing beats a tri-hamster setup! Wheel keeps on turning even when one snuffs it and the other is hanging upside down from the roof bars.

Koul at that price I might be interested, need to see what happens with the Fiesta as it might be going.

I'll probably be there around 6ish (MK south, if the plan changes I'll be able to see on here)

Steeps got a reaction from keelerad in Seat belt guide press stud rattle
I recommend keeping change in the cupholders, the 12V cover and an old pair of sunglasses in the empty glovebox, then an old boxfile full of stolen stationery in the boot... More than enough rattles to stop you worrying about seat poppers

Steeps got a reaction from Kodename47 in Keethos's Car
As someone who isn't involved so much with both forums and used to moderate a few myself, I thought this was handled quite well given the circumstances and if anything I'm more surprised with the attitude and response from this "community".
I don't know the full ins and outs as to why individuals are banned, but to go back to the forum to ask for fundraising for a banned member is a bit like one company asking for donations from a competitor's employees to help one of its own, yes some people would be willing to help out but it's not in management's interest to promote another group. I'm not trying to say one forum is better than the other etc, but the way Stu has handled the thread from an outsider's point of view looks a lot more mature than the reaction given on this forum.
I'm sure the thread would have stayed open if it wasn't for a banned member, even if they didn't post much, but all this negativity/witch-hunt doesn't really paint a welcoming picture about this place if someone might have a different view to the way things are run/discussed, which is what has caused this split in the first place.

You have to love how the Macaroni with cheese with the bacon removed is a fantastic vegetarian option to go with steak.
