Steeps got a reaction from Keethos in Essex Evening Meet - Friday 8th - Dick Turpin
Got there eventually, didn't want to risk the m25 on a Friday evening... but the country road I was on contained an upside down car which added a 20min diversion. Standard of food was good considering it's a large chain. Photos because I got told off last time I didn't bring a camera to a meet:

The good news is the $250 refund is worth £20 more than when you bought the manifold, or £40 more if going for the full refund thanks to the £ crashing. I don't know how difficult it would be but I'd be tempted to take the $250 refund and try to sell on the manifold as spares/repairs for someone to have a go at fixing themselves, or if they're happy to live with a whistle on a manifold.

I upload to my own FTP host and post directly (old school!)... it also means if anyone hotlinks my photos using up my bandwidth I can change the photo to a pink Corsa
Hate it when looking through a thread from a few years ago and the host has changed and the pictures gone.

Well I opened the rift, couldn't resist as the box was so nice. Even on usb2 and the 970 it's a fantastic experience so far. Need to get all of my old games working as I thought they would out of the box (huge TF2 fan, worked on DK2 but not CV1) but head tracking is amazing and watching films really does feel like you're sitting at the front row of the cinema wearing a ski mask. Early days for the tech, we're just seeing the beginning (resolution needs improvement), can't wait to try project cars on it!

The star in a car section was DIRE, those two could have been audience members and it would have been more interesting. Two completely opposite guests and the questions thrown at them were on the right track to steer it towards cars but it was so painful to watch, as if Chris had never presented anything in his life.
The first 2 minutes of the show was Chris getting the audience rattled, again completely pointless. Do that off camera and get on with the content. Just more content that Dave can cut out when it needs to shorten the program to fit it around adverts.
The muscle car start had potential to be pure car porn but it got silly with guns. Ragging them around the track would have shown perfectly well how each car handled. The Nomad review was fantastic and really enjoyed that. Reliant section? had to force watch that as it looks like more filler for Dave to cut. I didn't even want to go near Extra Gear because it was hard enough sitting through an hour of that.

Got a quote from a 3 month flexi hamster advertised Newcastle sponsorship loan company who will only let out £500 at a time over 3 months, I'd need 10 loans for 5k with a total repayment value of £7200.
A spanish friendly loan service is quite happy to spread the cost over 2 years for the same amount (5k, 7.2k payback), but I'd need an amigo to sign the paperwork... then I don't have to pay it back and they can

If anyone wants to contribute I'd quite happily convert my car to become a Cosworth demo car
(By contribute I mean pay for it... don't have the cash at the moment )

Monzasport have their 2.1 demo car up for sale and also fit the kit so if you want someone south of London it might be worth having a chat: http://www.monzasport.com/used-car-subaru-brz-coupe-510

Well... it arrived and it fits! Nice upgrade, cooler and quieter. Now to stick new heatsinks on to the old cards to fit into other systems to run silently

The track photographer gets very stroppy complaining about poor sales and rude drivers stealing photos using photos without permission.
Nah I'm kidding! Blyton is pretty good for viewing and photo ops on the banking near the finish area, with the eastern circuit you can capture traffic in both directions from the corner of the bank easily. I can't capture everything that happens out there and appreciate not everyone wants to pay for a ton of photos, only frustrations I've had is other pro's taking 1000's of photos and uploading them to social media making me being out there pointless at times.

(but I do get stroppy )

Was a good meetup, many thanks for the passenger laps from the few that I had. Would have liked to have done a comparison with a Primacy runner but learned enough to see about upgrading in stages rather than saving it all in one go. I didn't go to take photos as I was testing a different focus system on the camera so most of my shots are not of GT86's, here's a couple I did get:

Originally built in 2009, it's had 3 new broom handles and 4 heads but still the same PC!
Current spec as it mostly does photo/video editing:
Intel Xeon x5650 Hex core overclocked to 4.0ghz (air)
    Asus P6T s1366 motherboard
    24gb Tri Channel Crucial Ram
Twin ATI 7850 Crossfire (Needs upgrading asap, 980ti on the christmas list)
    500gb + 256gb SSD's
Twin Dell 27" 1440p monitors and third Dell 22" 1050p

    File Server / spare:
Dual core Intel with 64gb ssd OS drive, 2x 6TB WD Reds for storage, 2x 3TB Seagate drives for backups, 1x 1TB SSD for scratch disk. All passive/silent because it's 30cm away from where I sleep.
No photos as it's a sleep-work-live space all in a 10sqm area. Working all hours I can to afford somewhere bigger now.
