toyokid got a reaction from Luke in GT86 Wheel centre caps
I also lost 2 front centrecaps for my OZ wheels,
have come to the conclusion that my front wheels heated up and expanded causing the caps to pop out.

Hi Lauren
I think the summer tyres are Michelin sport pilot 3
Will check when I get back to my storage unit
Must be a fairly hard compound, low wear and low noise
Was on good year extra load, asymmetric which really were too noisy when travelling up to Scotland mile after mile,
but had very good grip and were great in the wet

I use 225 x 50 x 16 snow tyres, now 2nd season, or 3rd! (Very little tyre wear)
and find them to lose grip more easily than summer tyres, 225 x 45 x 17
But a darn site safer than Premacys when trying to keep up with Audi quattros on dirty winter roads
I used to have extra load sidewalls on my summer tyres and found it stopped the fun, and was noisier to boot
Changed them to something less stiff and less sticky and the fun increased

Winter tyre sellers would suggest that they work at anything below 10 degrees, but they would, wouldn't they!

I have a set of 16" RC Advan wheels
8" et35
Fitted with Goodyear and Continental 225 x 50 tyres
Only fitted last winter when there wasn't an issue with deep snow
and they gave more confidence
Will have to check which model of tyres I have
The deeper sidewalls give a bit more flex

The whole system sounds warm and easy to listen to, I had worried that by amping and fitting the big speakers it would have too much base and I would become a street crawler!

Just driven 700 odd miles on my jollies, so switched to economy map
Mainly constant throttle using c. Control and pottering
Achieving 40 mpg using A/C most of the time
The car felt much more docile which was pleasant for touring.
Decided to switch to map 3 when back home
Throttle was much crisper, much more linear to input
Much more performance and fun to drive
Economy in everyday use 35 mpg
So very good
But.....that extra performance is based on leaner fuelling and more advance
So have been aware on more pinking at roundabouts etc when not giving her beans!
Kinda reminds me of one of my old Celicas before getting rid
340bhp
Recaros
40mm Bilsteins all corner weighted
When everything was working in harmony, she was brilliant and a real adrenalin rush
The 86 gives me the same adrenalin rush, pretty much out of the box
With everyday reliability and unbelievable economy
When I do eventually get my 350-400bhp Carlos Sainz Celica back on the road, the worry will be an anti-climax!

Just ordered the speaker template/baffle from Patrick Henry today,
which will place the tweeters in the oem position
I think that I will need to clear the boot of all foam etc to mount the amp and crossovers?
Then after sound insulating everywhere glue some of the foam back in to support the boot carpet?
