  1. Well, after all that I have a clash!
My daughter has bought tickets for us to take the grandchildren to the Giants of Steam weekend at the Bluebell railway.  The tickets are for sunday, so a separate visit to Brooklands will be necessary for me.  Thanks for organising, Vadim.
    See you next time then

  2. Are we having a club display Vadim?  Do we buy tickets as individuals and hope they park us together? Have I missed this information somewhere?
I have asked them if we can have a club stand, received no reply either by email nor returned call. Will try calling again, but expect no response again. If I manage to organise a club stand will update the post.

Suggestion is to meet up, convoy and park together.

    Buy tickets online in advance

Lets have a breakfast meet at Denbies

    Start 9:30 am

    Denbies Wine Estate

Plan is to have a chit chat, go for a breakfast and if anyone wants they can book a tour or do Christmas wine shopping.

Once we have numbers confirmed I will ask Denbies to reserve parking space for us.

Hope the date works, but please shout if later in November would work better.

Also asked Denbies if they need an advance notice and whether they can get us a dedicated parking space.

How about 1st or 2nd Sunday of November for Denbies?

Denbies would be very happy to host us and will give us allocated parking space.

Please let me know if you prefer particular date for this. I am thinking Sunday in November as there are very few events then.

  6. Event Title: Autumn Motorsport Day @ Brooklands Museum

    Autumn Motorsport Day

    Brooklands Museum

    Sunday, October 13th

Now a firm fixture in the motoring calendar, visitors to Autumn Motorsport Day get a double helping of action. Competition cars from all ages will be put through their paces on the adjacent Mercedes-Benz World circuit and later in the day Test Hill will be in action. Expect to see a wide variety of competition cars from Formula 1, F5000 and GTs to touring cars and Group B rally cars. As ever, spectators will have the rare opportunity to see and hear competition cars at close quarters.

    https://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/whats-on/autumn-motorsport-day

Will aim to arrange convoy to be there by 9am closer to the date.

    Let me know who's joining

I have actually asked whether we can get a club stand or at least a dedicated parking space.

I guess we can always meet and convoy to arrive early enough to park together

I tried both e-mail and calls, no response at all:(

I guess we can just try to arrive together just before 9am and see if we can park up.

I will put Autumn Motorsport Day, Oct 13th, in the calendar as a separate entry.

  8. Not sure we fit the bill for the autumn classic breakfast but the autumn motorsport day sounds possible.  I tried to book a club display at that event last year, but they did not return my email.

  9. Some more ideas

    Denbies

    - this weekend  Sep 14th-15th (for those not going to Yashushi show) its Surrey Hill Food Festival. May be busy but we can arrive early

    https://fantasticbritishfoodfestivals.com/surrey-hills.html

    - don't think its worthwhile going for one of the experiences at Denbies, we can select a "quieter" weekend and arrive a bit earlier top park together.

    Brooklands Museum

if we want to select a day with an event:

    - Sunday Sep 22nd - Aviation Day

    https://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/whats-on/aviation-day

    - Sunday Oct 13th - Autumn Motorport Day

    https://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/whats-on/autumn-motorsport-day

    - Sunday Oct 27th - Autumn Motoring Breakfast

    Hmm I can't make the 12th, 13th, 19th,20th of October. What about the 16th, 17th November?

I am at Silverstone on Sat, Nov 17th for a track day (Anyone would like to join?) and would need to keep  Oct 19-20th and Oct 26-27th free for school holidays.

We can always do this instead of SantaPod or TRAX as well.

Its also easy to combine either with German vs Jap if we want - we can convoy from Oakham Bites to Denbies for example and have lunch there (and a tour of the estate if we up for it)

  11. Hope you all had a great summer and it was really good to see many of you at shows, track days and social events.😁

Just thinking what events we may want to do/ organise for the rest of the year.

    We have

Fuel Coffee House meet tomorrow and Yakushi Show next weekend,

but here are few more potential events to think of:

Sunday, Sep 29th: Jap Show Finale at Santa Pod

    http://www.japshowfinale.co.uk/index.php?fbclid=IwAR00_SHI-kwCFC88Rz-a8RPVhc0Vu_FJVUBs32uFqJbZ_jxQK9KiTaMxGYk

Sunday, Oct 6th: TRAX at Silverstone

    http://www.traxshows.co.uk/trax-silverstone-home

(I know many people don't like TRAX 🙄)

Sunday, Oct 6th: German vs Jap Bfast Meet at Ockham Bites

Saturday, Oct 12th: Action Day Finale at Castle Combe

    https://castlecombecircuit.co.uk/shows/action-day-finale

(we don't usually have many people interested in Castle Combe events)

I am also doing track days at Thruxton on Monday Sep 30th and Silverstone on Saturday Nov 16th if anyone would like to join (both with Opentrack)

Club track day at Bedford last year was popular, we can do it again, good for those who want to try track days for the 1st time (although check your noise level). May be wet (and cold) but its getting reasonably inexpensive.

Would be great to hear wishes and suggestions!😎

  12. I got a track day tomorrow just wondering  roughly what temperature people run them (hot) my tyres are  Michelin PS4
    Temperature or pressure?

If pressure I typically drop to 32 psi after sighting laps, then drop again to 30-31 after 1st session and keep checking so it does not go above 32 ish.
