jevvy reacted to thetyrant in Yoko V105S or PS4s? Place your votes!
Depends what you want as in grip or slidy fun, the V105 is a budget tyre with decent performance and ive run them on a couple of cars now, Michelins are a premium tyre so offer better grip everywhere but you pay the extra for it, ive found the V105 is a decent allrounder for the money and allow nice progressive slides if you so wish which adds to the fun, however if grip is what you want then as other have said PS4 is far superior tyre, be aware though too much grip can make a car boring after awhile

I asked you to confirm if it was the one from the other forum and linking it as you hadn't stated the make.
You then decided I was on about your 140% price increase, which I'd never mentioned, (and is on both forums -agreed) being a bit, in your words, 'morally wrong'. I thanked you for pointing this out.
There's really nothing cryptic or indirect there.
I'm sure anyone buying anything will check it's what they want at a fair price.

Or it could have been a question to ask if it was the JDL one advertised on the other forum as you hadn't stated the make.
Hadn't really thought of how morally wrong it may be to bump the price up 140% from one forum to another though so thanks for pointing it out 👍

Near Leicester here which im sure counts! Ztox I just replaced my piping and had a remap. Have a 2.5 to 3" avo overpipe to a 3" avo frontpipe followed by the type 80 and the HKS EL manifold. Holy shizz is it loud. The girlfriend Is scared sitting in my car now : P How do you deal with it mate. Parts of me loves how loud it is and tunnels are ridiculous. But it feels a bit much hahahah

Where is the boyracer bodykit if it had the trd bodykit id be all over this like white on rice even if it was 30k. Saying that someone please buy one, write it off and then I can purchase the entire interior. Ill keep an eye on ebay for a spares one of these babies : ) Considering the amount of spares galio's ive had bits off I think my luck might just be in! My friends mustang is in a similar orange and it is very eye catching although does resemble a high vis jacket

I just got some ce28s and I purchased thee http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292027329068?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It turned out the centre bore was 65mm not 65.1 and i messaged the guy and he exchanged them for 2£ and was really lovely. If you message him he can make any size for 12.50 I think and youll likely need 56.1 to 65mm not 65.1 the tenth of a mm will make it not fit at all as i found out and i bet yours are the same. If you buy the rays ones they are like 30£ plus and these will do fine! mine were well snug but not too snug!

Car now has all round black badges, private plate and is rolling on rays 17" 8j CE28's with AD08's any idea what PSI I should run on these? I set it at 35 but Im not sure if that will prevent the tyres getting enough heat as they're semi slicks. I really like how the car looks now but what do you think!

jevvy got a reaction from Mark-in-Stoke in WANTED - Forced Intake
Im really considering Upgrading to a forced intake setup. I will be going to Australia soon so I have to option to buy a kit there and ship it to mumsy or order one from japan to me while im there and do the same. Or im looking for a second hand one, or again I might go for the one Tuning developments offer. I'd like it to be as kind on the wallet as possible tho and after mark sold his turbo that im a bit sore I didnt buy its made me want it even more! If anyone knows what overseas models are well reviewed or where I should go to get the information id appreciate it. I'm sure id be able to find a second hand one whilst in australia as theyre car mad over there but that would really be my last resort. Just looking to weigh up my options and hopefully find a solution at a pocket friendly price!

jevvy got a reaction from Tim86 in Guy fitting my coilovers says the car won't be road legal, should i roll/pull my arches?
Some of you guys said it's okay for a slight protrusion but the law is if you look down from above the arch and can see tyre tread then it's illegal and can be cause for MOT failure. It's essentially to stop your tyre tread from ripping someone's flesh of the bone if you clip them with yor wing as they will likely bounce off the wing instead of hitting the tyre tread, pretty sure it's based off a few isolated cases which shouldn't precedent over the vast majority of motoring deaths but such is the law. I know someone who got 3 points for tyre tread protruding a few mm from the arch. You are allowed 30mm of poke but no tread whatsoever, this is calculated from the top looking directly down at the arch. It likely wouldn't be checked during an mot if the poke was slight. However if the police stop you for good reason and notice it they will likely give you 3 points and a fine and 7 days to fix it. I'd say just fit stretched tyres that have no tread In the poke to make it fully legal. It's not worth the potential 3 points and a fine. Also traffic cops might stop you just for wheels with poke to check if there is tread and have seen people complain about this on other forums. Some who got 3 points for tread in the poke and some with very stretched tyres that were legal as no tread was showing and just got stopped for that reason a couple times. I just thought I'd say this so everyone knows as I'm sure you have a good chance of getting away with it forever depending on where and how and how much you drive. But I don't want anyone to think it's completely fine then end up with 3 points and a fine. The more you know!

Thanks. With cars I have owned in the past I've only ever used the standard unleaded, on the basis that the super-unleaded was more costly. It never occurred to me to buy the more expensive stuff. If you are supposed to used super unleaded even without the remap, there is probably little point in going back to stock settings (concerns about the warranty aside).
