Spoke to the warrenty person at the dealership and he's claiming that they also can't cover it because it's clearly seen a bit of time on track. I argued that the issue has happened before (they repaired it the first time when the car was stock) and there's clearly an underlying issue causing the gearbox to have more problems of the same nature. I've spoken to Toyota GB and they're going to contact me soon. I really don't want to be out of pocket over a broken synchro when I've done nothing to break it myself!

It can, as long as the cat is warmed up

Also depends how strict your MOT place is  but yeah, definitely make you sure it's warmed up just in case

I have passed two MOTs with just the front pipe cat.

Mine passed with just the front pipe cat when warmed up, it failed on the first attempt.

Imo Cobras don't offer a really deep tone, they do have a nice sound but you mentioned you'd like a deep tone. I picked up an Invidia R400 catback from another forum member and it's just the perfect volume with a real nice deep rumble to it, someone even asked if I had a UEL Manifold. Volume is pretty loud on cold starts as expected but quickly quietens down. I've been using it with a catless front-pipe since I've had it but I imagine it'd have an even deeper done without. If you're local to wiltshire I don't mind meeting up with you so you can have a look/listen  

I've seen the black one too! Seen it in hungerford before, and there is always a black one parked in Hungerford train station. I drive a white 86 and work in Newbury quite often. Seen an orange one there before too.
 
Gave a thumbs up to one of the black ones and he gave me a weird look as if I offended him
